As we roll into week three of March Madness, we're diving deep into rare and unknown bands featuring Until December, their underground synth legacy. Plus, we're going to be doing something very special. For the first time on Synth Pop Symphony, we're featuring an exclusive interview with the dark synthpop band Black Light. I'll be sitting down with Brian, Adam, and Omar to talk about their influences, both classic and modern, their creative process, and their journey as a band. Well I don't need a novel says with the Well it's now week three of March Madness and things will be a little bit different this week. Although Sin Pop Symphony is primarily an upbeat dance music show, I occasionally come across incredible slower synth tracks, ones that sit in purgatory waiting for their moment to shine, and today is that day. In my new Too Slow for Synthop Symphony segment, I'm featuring three artists and two new tracks making their debut on the show. First up, we've got a band called The Grummies with our new single called LY, a song that's impossible to get out of your head. Then we're gonna hear Ross Alexander's cover of Cone and Grave's lonely dancers. This one's been remixed by the legendary Matt Hawk. And finally, it's time to bring back Roy's clock and euphoria, a stunning track I played a couple of years ago that definitely deserves more airplay. That was live, the VHS remix. And now it's time to enter the School of Send. With a flashback to the dark, pulsating synth sounds of the 80s with a spotlight on the band until December. San Francisco-based band that brought us moody, club-driven synth with an industrial edge. That was a huge influence on me back in the 80s. Until December captured the raw energy of the 80s alternative cloud scene. And we have not hit the mainstream card with their influence echoes from Darth Wave and Synth and EPM to this day. I highly recommend listening to the entire Until December album. It's a self-titled album from 1986, and you can find the expanded version on Spotify everywhere you find your music. It takes the entire album and actually add 100 remixes at the end of it, some of which have never been released before. We're gonna play one of those unreleased tracks. It only came out as a 12-minute single, but it's now available on that album. It is We Are the Boys, and it was my favorite color-driven track back in the eighties. And the home will be for you too. Make sure you check out their album, but right now it's until December.
