Permanent Records Podcast and Red Flag brought me here.
📡 From a Radio Station Partner
Synthpop Symphony has become a cornerstone of our weekend programming. It’s one of the few shows that manages to be both musically adventurous and listener-friendly — blending classic 80s nostalgia with high-quality new releases that keep our rotation sounding fresh and relevant. The production is broadcast-ready every time, with tight transitions, pro-level mastering, and consistent delivery. What really sets the show apart is Matt Williams’ ear for curation — the selections feel intentional, not algorithmic. His knowledge of the genre and its evolution is second to none. Our audience numbers spike during his broadcast block, and we’ve received direct listener feedback asking for replays or showtimes. For stations looking to elevate their music programming, Synthpop Symphony is a premium offering.
Listener Review via Bandcamp Blog
I stumbled on Synthpop Symphony by accident and now I listen every single week. I love 80s synthpop and New Wave, but what keeps me coming back is the new music — it’s like discovering the soundtrack to a future you want to live in. The mixes are fun, nostalgic, and somehow always fresh. I’ve found so many amazing artists through the show that I never would’ve heard on mainstream radio. It feels personal, curated, and totally addictive. Highly recommended for anyone who loves electronic music with heart and soul.
From a DJ’s Perspective
Synthpop Symphony is a go-to source for serious selectors. As a DJ, I’m constantly searching for new tracks that balance floor energy with depth — and Matt Williams nails that every week. His programming blends legacy acts with fresh material that’s not just relevant, but forward-thinking. What really impresses me is the mixing — tight transitions, cohesive vibes, and a narrative arc that keeps the energy flowing. It’s like crate-digging with someone who actually knows the history and the future of synthpop.
“An Essential Listen for Synth Fans Everywhere”
Synthpop Symphony isn’t just another retro-inspired radio show — it’s a masterclass in curation. Hosted by Matt Williams, a veteran of both radio and the club scene, the show delivers a seamless blend of iconic New Wave, underground synthpop gems, and cutting-edge electronic discoveries from around the globe. What sets it apart is the show’s uncanny ability to break new artists while paying deep respect to genre legends. It’s where you’ll hear a Depeche Mode classic in the same breath as a track from a rising indie synth act you haven’t discovered yet — but will immediately want to.
The Best Synthpop Show for New Music! and some serious remixes too!
I found this show through iHeart and I have to say this is what I've been seeking for about 3 decades. Incredible curation and every show is incredible.
Great Mix of Past, Present and Future New Wave Music
I love this new wave synth-pop station because it features both classic and current new wave music. There are so many new artists emerging, and it’s great to see them captured on this podcast, just like in the ‘80s. It’s still flying under the radar, but with podcasts like this, I feel like the genre is on its way back to the mainstream.
80s Vibe ❤️❤️❤️
