Setting up Shortlinks on your website

Shortlinks are short, memorable URLs on your own domain that redirect anywhere you want. Instead of reading a long sponsor URL on air, you can say "go to yourdomain.com/deal" — and send listeners exactly where they need to go.

Available on the Pro plan and above.

How to create a shortlink

  1. In your dashboard, go to Settings → Shortlinks and add a new shortlink.
  2. In the Shortlink field, enter the path you want — for example, /deal for yourdomain.com/deal.
  3. In the Redirect to field, enter the destination: a full external URL (like a sponsor's landing page) or a path on your own site (like /about).
  4. Optionally add a Description so you remember what the link is for, then click Save.

The link works immediately — anyone visiting yourdomain.com/deal is redirected to the destination.

Ideas for using shortlinks

  • Sponsor offers: yourdomain.com/sponsor → the sponsor's tracking URL, so you get a clean link to say on air.
  • Campaigns: yourdomain.com/survey or /giveaway → a form or landing page.
  • Anything long: point a short path at any URL that's too clumsy to read aloud.

Organizing and tracking your links

  • Categories: group your shortlinks (by sponsor, by campaign) using the Categories tab at the top of the Shortlinks page.
  • Click tracking: on the Elite plan, the shortlink list shows 7-day and total click counts for every link — see viewing shortlink click data.
  • Import and export: bring in a list of shortlinks or export yours as a CSV from the same page.

Tip: Podpage also creates automatic Quick Links like yourdomain.com/51 for numbered episodes — no setup needed. Use Shortlinks for everything else.
