Hired a designer who doesn't know Podpage? Some designers add large amounts of custom code, which works — but it can make it harder to update colors and layouts later unless you understand their code. The videos and specs below help a designer (or you) learn Podpage's built-in design tools quickly. It's pretty easy to do most of it yourself.

Image sizes in Podpage
Podcast cover art
Your cover art ("show art") should follow Apple's recommended specifications:
- Dimensions: 1400x1400 pixels minimum, 3000x3000 pixels maximum
- File size: under 500 KB
- File type: JPG, JPEG, or PNG
Cover art is pulled in via your RSS feed from your media host. To change it, update it with your media host — or upload a separate logo under Design → Website Logo.
Share images
Share images appear when your website or an episode is shared on social media. Recommended size: 1200x630 pixels.
- Website share image: in your dashboard, go to Settings → Advanced Settings and set the share image.
- Episode share image: go to Episodes → All Episodes and edit the episode.
Background and banner images
Banner images appear at the top of your pages. We recommend at least 1500x400 pixels — crisp on large screens and still workable on mobile. Use a background image rather than baking large text into the banner, since text in an image may not resize well on small screens.
Setting colors
In your dashboard, go to Design → Colors, Fonts, Layout.

Tip: If a designer wants to go beyond the built-in tools, they can add CSS and JavaScript under Design → Custom Code — just keep a note of what they add so future updates stay easy.
