Using the right image sizes keeps your website looking sharp on every device. Here are the recommended sizes for the key images on your Podpage site.
Podcast cover art
Your cover art (also called "show art") should follow Apple's podcast artwork specifications:
- Dimensions: 1400 x 1400 pixels minimum, 3000 x 3000 pixels maximum
- File size: under 500 KB
- File type: JPG, JPEG, or PNG
Podpage pulls this artwork from your RSS feed, so update it at your media host. You can also upload a separate logo for your site under Design → Website Logo.
Social sharing images
These images appear when someone shares a link to your site or an episode on social media. Recommended size: 1200 x 630 pixels.
- Website sharing image: in your dashboard, go to Settings → Advanced Settings and upload a Social Sharing Image. It's used when someone shares your website link.
- Episode sharing image: go to Episodes → All Episodes, open the episode, and upload a Social Preview Image. It's used when someone shares that episode's link.
Banner / background image
The banner sits at the top of your home page, often as a backdrop for your title and description. Recommended size: at least 1400 x 500 pixels.
We recommend using it as a background image rather than baking large text into the image itself — text in images doesn't resize well on phones. See Changing the banner image on your home page.
Tip: Keep image files as small as you can at these dimensions — smaller files mean faster page loads.
