If text in a blog post or text box shows up with the wrong colors, fonts, or sizes — like black text on a black background — the culprit is almost always hidden styling that came along when the text was pasted in. This is usually quick to fix.
Why this happens
When you copy text from a word processor or another website, invisible styling (colors, fonts, sizes) can be copied with it. That styling can clash with your site's design once the post is published.
How to fix it
- In your dashboard, open the blog post (or episode) with the formatting problem for editing.
- In the text editor, select all of the affected text.
- Click the Clear formatting button in the editor toolbar — the icon looks like a T with a small x. This strips the unwanted styling and returns the text to your site's default look.
- Reapply any formatting you actually want, like bold or italics.
- Click Save, then check the page on your website to confirm it looks right.
