One of the biggest surprises for Star Trek fans at San Diego Comic-Con came courtesy of The Nacelle Company, which revealed a bold and deeply fan-driven vision for its next wave of Star Trek action figures.

Yesterday's panel began with Nacelle Company CEO Brian Volk-Weiss telling Trekkies in attendance at the panel the story of how they got the rights to make the figures in the first place. It all began with a massive move: a 43-page pitch delivered to Paramount to secure the license. That’s not just a toy line; that’s a mission.

🚀 Nacelle’s Booth #2547: A Toy Trekker’s Paradise

Fans flocking to Booth #2547 were treated to prototype reveals, exclusive first looks, and a strong sense of how deeply Nacelle respects the Star Trek legacy. They're not just making figures; they’re listening to the people that they are making these action figures for. Over 7,000 fan requests have already poured in, and Nacelle has even been filming responses to the question: “What do you want to see us make?” which we got to see some of during the panel. The first fan-favorite? The Romulan Commander.

🖖 What’s Coming: Waves 1 through 4

Wave One is still available for pre-sale—though apparently launching with those specific figures sparked some controversy. Nacelle didn’t shy away from that and instead doubled down with an even bolder Wave Two, featuring:

• James T. Kirk (and yes, the team joked “we should’ve brought the horse!” 🐎 Which you can go see at their booth.)

• Captain Janeway, “Year of Hell” edition, complete with her iconic pocket watch

• Nog, making his action figure debut, with a detachable leg and all.

Then came the exclusive preview of the Generations James T. Kirk, coming with his horse, axe, and yes… Dillweed. (Don’t worry, we’re still laughing too.)

🖤 Wave Three: The Original Series Crew Reunites

Wave 3 will bring the entire TOS crew to fans’ shelves, including:

• Christine Chapel

• Janice Rand

• Montgomery “Scotty” Scott (yes, with eight fingers!)

• Plus a special 60th Anniversary 2-pack

But the moment that sent fans and Girafe into orbit? The reveal of Nyota Uhura coming to the line, equipped with the classic TOS Phaser Rifle. Huge.

🌌 Wave Four: Deep Cuts and Dream Picks

Wave 4 shows just how closely Nacelle is listening to the fans. Here’s who’s on the roster:
