Boldly Back in the Gaslamp: Paramount+’s The Lodge Returns to San Diego Comic-Con

One of the hottest offsite destinations at San Diego Comic-Con is beaming back into the Gaslamp District.

Paramount+’s The Lodge is returning for its third year with its most ambitious, immersive experience yet. Running from Wednesday, July 23 through Sunday, July 27 at Happy Does (340 5th Ave), The Lodge is open to the public, no SDCC badge required, and packed with can’t-miss activations from across the streaming platform’s biggest franchises.

But let’s be honest: we’re here for Star Trek.

We'd like to spend a good amount of buffer time at this Trek-inspired lounge at The Lodge...

This year, Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy take center stage inside a massive Starfleet holodeck experience. This isn’t just a photo op, it's an interactive sci-fi playground. From a romantic “Intergalactic Love Lounge” (yes, really) to themed vignettes inspired by Strange New Worlds Season 3, it’s a chance for fans to immerse themselves in the Trek universe like never before. And with Starfleet Academy also getting the spotlight, expect some Federation swag to make its way into your away mission bag.

What Else Awaits at The Lodge?

While Trek may be the crown jewel for us, The Lodge is loaded with other Paramount+ properties and surprises:

  • The Dexter: Resurrection Vault – A chilling journey into the mind of Dexter Morgan, with case files and twisted trophies hidden behind a wine cellar facade.

  • Landman Patch Café – A West Texas bar straight from Taylor Sheridan’s oil-soaked drama. Grab a drink in a branded M*Tex mug.

  • NCIS: Tony & Ziva – A cozy Parisian café hiding a spy-worthy safehouse. Keep an eye out for Easter eggs and deep cuts.

  • Mission: Impossible Experience – Yes, you can actually recreate Ethan Hunt’s iconic drop-into-the-vault pose. Photos included.

  • Pluto TV’s Popcorn Bar – Free popcorn, slushies, and summer cinema nostalgia. Think of it as your cooldown zone.

  • CBS Sports Clubhouse – Whether you're Team Eagles or rooting for Real Madrid, this turf-covered arena has you covered.

Not us spending COUNTLESS hours watching Star Trek on PlutoTV...

How to Beam In

Admission is free, but you'll want to book a reservation here. Sessions run in 50-minute intervals, and there’s a standby line daily if you’re feeling lucky. With this much packed into one space, expect crowds, great photo ops, and some serious swag.

Whether you're a Trekkie ready to step onto the holodeck or just looking to grab some popcorn and tackle a Mission: Impossible selfie, The Lodge is one of the must-visit fan activations at Comic-Con this year. And if the past two years are any indication, it’ll be the place where fandoms collide, drinks flow, and the cameras never stop snapping.

See you on the holodeck, er, at Comic-Con.
