0:00 We observe in nature that certain plants turn towards the sun and follow the sun's position in the sky throughout the day. This phenomenon, heliotropism, is based on certain sensor cells in these plants that identify the location of the light and automatically Orient themselves towards it. Sunflowers, daisies, and others are known to display this phenomenon. The psychic being has a similar focus as it is drawn automatically toward the light, the truth of existence, and all that is good, beautiful, and uplifting to the spirit. The connection between the psychic being and the spiritual truth of existence is based on oneness.
0:45 We could say that there is a type of quantum entanglement between the psychic being and the spiritual truth of existence, such that there is an automatic flow of energy that provides the psychic being with an innate sense of the truth and significance of its existence. As the psychic being develops, it is thereby able to distinguish truth from falsehood, light from darkness, just as the swan is symbolically said to be able to separate milk from water, Sviorobindo observes. Quote. It is the soul in US which turns always towards truth, good and beauty, because it is by these things that it itself grows in stature. The rest, their opposites, are a necessary part of experience, but have to be outgrown in the spiritual increase of the being. The fundamental psychic entity in US has the delight of life and all experience as part of the progressive manifestation of the Spirit.
1:49 But the very principle of its delight of life is to gather out of all contacts and happenings their secret divine sense and essence, a divine use and purpose, so that by experience our mind and life may grow out of the inconscience, towards a supreme consciousness, out of the divisions of the ignorance, towards an integralizing consciousness and knowledge. It is there for that, and it pursues from life to life its ever increasing upward tendency and insistence. The growth of the soul is a growth out of darkness into light, out of falsehood into truth, out of suffering, into its own supreme and universal Ananda.
