The Heterogeneous Nature of Our External Being

Sometimes we struggle with these conflicts without recognizing that they represent separate parts of the being that each have their own motivational and need structure. For instance, we have a desire for a certain food, but our rational mind tells us that it is not healthy for us to consume it.
