Ep.65: A Ballerina Follows Her Heart w/ Natacha Bachour

Natacha began her professional dance career at the age of 17, as a Corps de Ballet member with Ballet Arizona. It was there that she had the opportunity to dance ballets such as Serenade, Copelia, Pequita, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, sleeping Beauty, Divertimento No. 15, and many more.  Her television credits include The 82nd Annual Academy Awards opening number, dancing for Lady GaGa in the Sinatra100 CBS special, the HBO TV movie Behind the Candelabra, and most recently the Netflix original GLOW. She has also had the pleasure of dancing lead roles  in Vegas The Show at Planet Hollywood, Showstoppers at The Wynn, and one half of the lead ballroom couple in BAZ at The Venetian on the Las Vegas strip.

In this episode Natasha takes us behind the scenes on what it’s like to work in a ballet company, how to keep a healthy body image even with the high demands of directors, dancing through injuries, transitions to other creative avenues, and how she almost stopped dancing but decided to follow her love and passion for dance instead.
