Restaurants

Hi!
Since you asked and I did have a reaction to the episode about restaurants, here goes. First, as you both readily admitted the interview was very much from the restaurant point of view as opposed to the customer’s and it would have been more interesting to present both, but my more important reaction was that, because I live in New York City, I accept the high prices most of the time—everything seems way too expensive and I’m actually glad that post Covid—they have to pay their employees more. The really big problem for me—and I’m not a twenty something bar hopper—is the noise level. When I eat out, a very important part of the experience is the conversation and that has become impossible in many if not most restaurants today. I really hate having to shout to make myself heard. Just saying….
