A National Hellscape
In this intense and passionate episode of Shital Weapon, host Shital delves into the crucial issues facing America today. She discusses the injustices of immigrations and customs enforcement (ICE), the pervasive racism targeting people of color, and the systematic loss of rights under the current administration. Reflecting on the recent killing of an American citizen by ICE agents, Shital highlights how racism, misogyny, and misguided patriotism are tearing the country apart. She also reflects on the deeper societal issues affecting men and the pervasive patriarchy. This episode is a call to recognize our current reality and strive for a better future.
00 [SPEAKER_00]: We all have that one friend, the one who says exactly what's on their mind, no matter what, and that's Sheedle Mars. [SPEAKER_01]: That's right, every week my friends and I dive into whatever's on my mind, sports, politics, pop culture, even my own struggles, you name it. [SPEAKER_01]: If I'm thinking about it, we're talking about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Unfiltered, unapologetic, and just a little dangerous. [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome. [SPEAKER_01]: You are listening to Sheetle Webbin. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Sheetle your host and I am just your average old lady processing her thoughts using this medium because I don't like writing because it gives my hand a cramp.
48 [SPEAKER_01]: So you're all here for listening during my thoughts on various topics that I have to do with my life, other people's life, the world in general, and today, I think we're going to do the world in general. [SPEAKER_01]: I spent the last couple of episodes talking about myself, which is fun. [SPEAKER_01]: I love thinking about myself. [SPEAKER_01]: But I know at the end of last episode I said we're going to do something topical. [SPEAKER_01]: We're living in a national health gap and we probably should address it. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the episodes I did last year talked about me being fearful of what is happening with immigration and custom enforcement and how that impacted me as someone who's melanated and who travels and who goes from place to place.
44 [SPEAKER_01]: I typically don't carry my identification on me. [SPEAKER_01]: I carry identification, but I don't carry my citizenship information [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm still not, and there's a reason, anybody that knows anything about history when you have a Armed Militia imbued with Immunity [SPEAKER_01]: You would know that they don't give a shit about ID. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't care. [SPEAKER_01]: What's gonna happen is you're gonna say I have ID. [SPEAKER_01]: I am an American citizen. [SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna hand them your passport. [SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna rip it up right in front of you and go, I didn't see a passport. [SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
26 [SPEAKER_01]: So now the only document you have to prove your identification as a citizen as someone who should not be targeted by immigration and customs enforcement is gone and now your handcuffed in the back of a van and sent to God knows where and nobody tells anybody anything of your whereabouts. [SPEAKER_01]: How do you prove that you are a citizen? [SPEAKER_01]: I think for so many people I've heard it over and over again that you can just prove you are a citizen and they don't quite realize [SPEAKER_01]: That nobody gives a shit, whether you are a citizen. [SPEAKER_01]: Immigration and customs enforcement is not in manyapolis to do immigration and customs enforcement.
12 [SPEAKER_01]: They are not looking for violent criminal immigrants. [SPEAKER_01]: They are looking for [SPEAKER_01]: leftists. [SPEAKER_01]: They are looking for liberals. [SPEAKER_01]: They are looking for people in the street. [SPEAKER_01]: They are looking to punish Minnesota. [SPEAKER_01]: Why Minnesota? [SPEAKER_01]: What could possibly be special about Minnesota? [SPEAKER_01]: That the administration would target that state. [SPEAKER_01]: Given that there are plenty of undocumented immigrants [SPEAKER_01]: that all of these agents are 3,000 agents in Minnesota. [SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't those 3,000 agents be very necessary in the southern border of Texas?
56 [SPEAKER_01]: Why aren't they in Texas? [SPEAKER_01]: Why aren't they in Florida? [SPEAKER_01]: Why aren't they in New Mexico or Arizona or Alabama or Louisiana? [SPEAKER_01]: Those states would welcome them with open arms and cheer their arrival. [SPEAKER_01]: And people have asked this question over and over again. [SPEAKER_01]: Why aren't they where most of the undocumented immigrants are because it has nothing to do with undocumented immigrants. [SPEAKER_01]: It has to do with punishing liberals. [SPEAKER_01]: that are citizens. [SPEAKER_01]: It has nothing to do with immigration whatsoever. [SPEAKER_01]: There aren't enough immigrants. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a drop in the bucket, the amount of undocumented immigrants in Minnesota.
39 [SPEAKER_01]: They're there because Tim Walls have the goal to run against them. [SPEAKER_01]: That's literally the only reason they're there. [SPEAKER_01]: they have no other purpose and you think, oh no, they're going to go and capture all these undocumented people and make the city safer or make the state safer. [SPEAKER_01]: in no way has the presence of ICE made the state of Minnesota safer. [SPEAKER_01]: It is demonstrably less safe. [SPEAKER_01]: And they say, well, we're just trying to do our job. [SPEAKER_01]: We're just trying to capture all of these criminals. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to understand, there is something very sadistic about this administration, trying to make the word immigrant synonymous with rapist and violent criminal.
25 [SPEAKER_01]: There is no doubt that they are trying to make that the same thing. [SPEAKER_01]: And they want you to believe that they're there to remove immigrants. [SPEAKER_01]: And if immigrants is synonymous with someone who's violent or someone who's a danger to society, it doesn't matter whether they actually are or are not, just the word immigrant means that. [SPEAKER_01]: So there is no such a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: as a peaceful immigrant, as a valuable immigrant. [SPEAKER_01]: There's no such a thing as an immigrant who did it the right way. [SPEAKER_01]: Just the nature of being an immigrant means you are wrong.
06 [SPEAKER_01]: And anybody who is melanated or anybody who's an immigrant already knows that if you're wondering why black people aren't marching in the streets and why people of Hispanic heritage are not marching in the street to protest on mass and I'm sure there are a lot of black people and a lot of people of various heritage is marching in the street and protesting this [SPEAKER_01]: is synonymous with danger. [SPEAKER_01]: There is no such a thing as a peaceful protest done by a person of color. [SPEAKER_01]: None think of how large of a group that would have to be. [SPEAKER_01]: Is it one?
46 [SPEAKER_01]: Is it two? [SPEAKER_01]: Is it three? [SPEAKER_01]: If you saw three black people walking down the street and protesting, would you immediately assume their violent? [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the administration is trying to do. [SPEAKER_01]: If you think, oh my god, [SPEAKER_01]: The majority of the protesters looked like me or it looked like anybody darker than milk. [SPEAKER_01]: You would see a bloodbath in this read. [SPEAKER_01]: They would open fire as if they were rioters. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter if they had weapons. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter if they were doing anything illegal. [SPEAKER_01]: They would shoot to kill on site. [SPEAKER_01]: There would be many more dead bodies.
29 [SPEAKER_01]: If these protests were done by [SPEAKER_01]: That's the reality in anybody of color knows that that would be the reality. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know whether to be upset or sad that we're only upset or sad because these are white bodies that are being murdered and rest assured it is murder. [SPEAKER_01]: There is no other legal justification. [SPEAKER_01]: There is nowhere in any law of America that says that trespassing [SPEAKER_01]: or being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or carrying a firearm on your person. [SPEAKER_01]: In the largest gun-owning country in the world, is illegal and punishable by death.
14 [SPEAKER_01]: Like even mass shooters, we try to apprehend a life. [SPEAKER_01]: Even people who are vividly killing people, we try to apprehend a life and send them to jail, to face trial by a jury of their peers. [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't understand anyone who goes, we'll comply and you won't die. [SPEAKER_01]: That sounds like a rapist to me. [SPEAKER_01]: that is the rhetoric of someone who commits sexual assault on the regular. [SPEAKER_01]: If you just comply, I won't murder you. [SPEAKER_01]: Nowhere in America should that be a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: And if that bothers you, if you're thinking, oh, well, I'm not a rapist and I'm not a racist and I'm not a Nazi and I'm not a fascist and but I want to get rid of the illegal immigrants.
01 [SPEAKER_01]: I would question what your definition [SPEAKER_01]: I think, for a lot of people on the right, they've adopted this mantra that these words only have one of the most extreme definitions and that it can't possibly apply to them. [SPEAKER_01]: If you call someone a rapist, they only think of themselves as someone who violently assaulted a person. [SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot of people who don't even think that it's possible to rape a male. [SPEAKER_01]: But rape, [SPEAKER_01]: is unwanted sexual conduct, unwanted penetration. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't have to always leave bruises. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't always have to leave scars.
42 [SPEAKER_01]: And I think a lot of people think, oh, well, if it's not violent to the point where even a man would go, that might have gone too far, then it wasn't rape. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just like a disagreement on whether they wanted to have sex or not. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's different than rape. [SPEAKER_01]: Same thing with racist, same thing with Nazi. [SPEAKER_01]: I think people when they hear the word racist, especially people on the right going, I'm not a racist, stop calling Republicans racist. [SPEAKER_01]: Racist is just prejudiced with power. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think for a lot of people, they think racist just means a hood-wearing clans member. [SPEAKER_01]: Like if you haven't lynched a black person, recent, you can't be racist.
24 [SPEAKER_01]: But if you believe that every immigrant is a rapist and violent criminal, you might be racist. [SPEAKER_01]: And what is racist? [SPEAKER_01]: Racist is just believing that the power structures that keep people down, that are written based on prejudice, should stay. [SPEAKER_01]: There is a lot of racism [SPEAKER_01]: In this country, it isn't gone, the election of a black president didn't make it disappear because the power structures that exist in America are there to disenfranchise large groups of people. [SPEAKER_01]: That's just reality.
06 [SPEAKER_01]: If someone's saying you're acting like a Nazi or this is looking very Nazi-esque, very fascist-esque, [SPEAKER_01]: I think we need to recognize that it probably is. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to be dimly murdering Jews to be called a Nazi. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're just in favor of all of the tactics that Naziism espoused. [SPEAKER_01]: If you like all the things the Nazis did, and you just stop short of gas chambers, you might still be a Nazi. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I heard a lot of people, especially people of color, people who represent minority groups in this country go, hey, we're pointing only to the one genocide that we get taught about in school.
51 [SPEAKER_01]: Can you name another? [SPEAKER_01]: Most people cannot name another. [SPEAKER_01]: I would argue that what America did to Native Americans was absolutely a genocide. [SPEAKER_01]: You can name Rwanda, you can name Cambodia, [SPEAKER_01]: You can name a whole bunch of other places, but we don't talk about the ones where it's not white people. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to understand that what they're talking about is maybe this isn't just like Nazi Germany. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this is just like 1800 America. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this is just like the militias we sent out to catch slaves. [SPEAKER_01]: This is just like the militias that were sent out to murder natives.
36 [SPEAKER_01]: We can look to our own history of what this is replicating. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't necessarily always have to look abroad. [SPEAKER_01]: And I kind of agree with that. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't always have to measure this by that definition. [SPEAKER_01]: We can measure this by another definition. [SPEAKER_01]: And there is no world in which [SPEAKER_01]: what ISIS doing is right. [SPEAKER_01]: There's no favorable, reasonable, civil society can possibly look at what ISIS doing and what this is administration is doing and say, yep. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what we need. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the right thing. [SPEAKER_01]: That's making America safer. [SPEAKER_01]: This is making our country better. [SPEAKER_01]: I worry so much about how many people are twisting themselves.
20 [SPEAKER_01]: And you hear all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: Like how did all these atrocities in human history take place? [SPEAKER_01]: How did so many people not know that this was wrong? [SPEAKER_01]: And the answer is, [SPEAKER_01]: they don't know that this is wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: They're not innocent bystanders, all the people that are looking at this and defending it, that's gross. [SPEAKER_01]: But turning the other way and saying, I guess it doesn't have to do with me, it's not something I need to be involved and I need to protect myself. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you're a Nazi, you're a Nazi sympathizer. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you're a racist. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the shoe fits. [SPEAKER_01]: I've been talking to friends and other people and there are people who very much disagree with me and say, hey, we need laws and everything else, and I would say, what is the penalty for trespassing?
12 [SPEAKER_01]: Last night checked, it wasn't concentration camps in murder. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't extra judicial killings. [SPEAKER_01]: I was pretty sure, none of those are consequences of trespassing and even squatters, even squatters have rights. [SPEAKER_01]: If I walked into an abandoned house, and it was owned by somebody, and they knew I was there and never collected rent, and let me be there for a period of time. [SPEAKER_01]: almost all states have a squatters rights thing that you can't evict them after a certain amount of time. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you kind of grandfathered them into the treatment if you didn't charge them rent, try to evict them, tell them they're on property that doesn't belong to them, and you didn't try to remove them at any point.
58 [SPEAKER_01]: They kind of have the right to stay now. [SPEAKER_01]: And that house now becomes theirs. [SPEAKER_01]: Being an undocumented immigrant is not synonymous with violent criminal. [SPEAKER_01]: Being an undocumented immigrant, just meant you came without papers and are there consequences for that? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it means they can't vote. [SPEAKER_01]: It means they can't access public services. [SPEAKER_01]: It means a really hard life. [SPEAKER_01]: It means being afraid for your life all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: There is a great deal of suffering that community goes through. [SPEAKER_01]: It means that you don't have access to opportunities. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have access to advancement. [SPEAKER_01]: You know how many people in the undocumented immigrant community could be great doctors, could be great engineers, could be great.
41 [SPEAKER_01]: There's any one of a million different aspirational occupations. [SPEAKER_01]: and they can't even begin to try to do those things and add value to this country in that way because we keep them undocumented. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, much economic value they add, how much more economic value they would add to this country if we allowed them opportunities to actually be prosperous instead of being like, oh, you cross the border one time and now we need to murder you. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not the crime is not equal to that punishment. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't even murder rapists. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of those get probation, even if they go to trial and they get convicted.
25 [SPEAKER_01]: Most of them never go to trial. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of them never get caught. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of them never get convicted. [SPEAKER_01]: But the minute, new percentage of the ones that are actually violent criminals that have violent rapists horrible people of this world that we can actually convict. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't even kill those guys. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand this. [SPEAKER_01]: This doesn't make any logical sense to me. [SPEAKER_01]: The only place I can get to with this is that we always look at the hypocrisy of people who justify this. [SPEAKER_01]: And say, don't you see this? [SPEAKER_01]: Don't you understand? [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't Jesus is teaching. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't you understand? [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't any religious teaching. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't you understand? [SPEAKER_01]: This is fundamentally anti-American.
05 [SPEAKER_01]: Don't you understand? [SPEAKER_01]: This is fundamentally anti-constitution. [SPEAKER_01]: And they go, [SPEAKER_01]: No, we don't see that at all. [SPEAKER_01]: We believe that it's the fact that you're a flabbergasted that they can't see their own hypocrisy. [SPEAKER_01]: The hypocrisy is not a bug, it's a feature. [SPEAKER_01]: They want a world in which this is true for people. [SPEAKER_01]: Liberals look like everybody else. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not about skin color anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: It is about exerting power and authority through violence. [SPEAKER_01]: They want that. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever God they're praying to, somehow as granted them immunity.
48 [SPEAKER_01]: And they say, and he has told them, go enact my vengeance, because that's the got, that's Christ, that's not Christian, that's not nationalism, they don't, what they're looking at is not America, they don't believe in the Constitution, they don't believe in the founding fathers. [SPEAKER_01]: And when I think about it, it keeps coming up in my mind, what is make America great again? [SPEAKER_01]: I think so many people thought it was like the 1950s, which had its own prejudice issues. [SPEAKER_01]: And I go, that's great, that's the greatest economic expansion for the middle class ever. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what we're trying to get back to when everybody had a white pick-up fence a station wagon, a dog, two kids, and these cute little families.
30 [SPEAKER_01]: First of all, no, that shit existed. [SPEAKER_01]: That's all leave it to be verbalship that you saw on TV. [SPEAKER_01]: If you talked to anybody who lived during that time, it wasn't all kumbayan ice cream sandwiches. [SPEAKER_01]: What you're thinking is a great time in America is made up in your head. [SPEAKER_01]: There was war beating up of black people. [SPEAKER_01]: There was all sorts of closetedness. [SPEAKER_01]: There was all sorts of bigotry. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't. [SPEAKER_01]: only good, but I digress. [SPEAKER_01]: The point is, we're not trying to go the 1950s. [SPEAKER_01]: We're trying to go the 1850s, and maybe even the 1750s. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a group of people that does not believe in the United States of America.
13 [SPEAKER_01]: They want to sell it to the highest bidder. [SPEAKER_01]: They've been definitely trying to destroy the Union for decades. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't believe in unions. [SPEAKER_01]: If you thought that only extended to the teachers' union, or the auto workers' union. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, it's all unions. [SPEAKER_01]: Unions are a threat to power. [SPEAKER_01]: They think, if we destroy unity, we can do whatever we want. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you can exploit a lot of people and resources when there is no unity. [SPEAKER_01]: So yes, they are trying to actively take America off the board and destroy it from the [SPEAKER_01]: factors that play here. [SPEAKER_01]: There are probably outside influences trying to make this happen.
57 [SPEAKER_01]: And it's [SPEAKER_01]: pretty gross. [SPEAKER_01]: It's actually really gross. [SPEAKER_01]: And Ice is just an example of that. [SPEAKER_01]: Ice is just a Goon squad and we understand that. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I always wonder when you watch the superhero movies and you go, how does Lex Luther find these guys who want to keep getting shot in any video game you've played like Tomb Raider or Uncharted and there's just all these mercenaries willing to die. [SPEAKER_01]: And you go, okay, these people just love shooting people. [SPEAKER_01]: And you go, how is that possible in real life? [SPEAKER_01]: And it is, we have it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's here. [SPEAKER_01]: We're doing it. [SPEAKER_01]: And the only way to stop it.
40 [SPEAKER_01]: is for everyone to recognize that it's going to take loss of life. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, we are going to be harmed. [SPEAKER_01]: We are actively going to be harmed in order to stop it. [SPEAKER_01]: We have to find ways of communicating that our public, we have to find ways of figuring out how to be a community. [SPEAKER_01]: outside of the watchful eye of the government. [SPEAKER_01]: Because this government is trying to kill us. [SPEAKER_01]: It's 100% trying to kill us. [SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt about it in my mind. [SPEAKER_01]: And all because, and you would think it's about Trump.
24 [SPEAKER_01]: And Jeffrey Epstein and the pedophile ring, and let's be clear, it's not about the list. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody knows Donald Trump is on the list. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody knows he fucked with 14-year-old girls. [SPEAKER_01]: We all know that. [SPEAKER_01]: This has nothing to do with that. [SPEAKER_01]: This list of names that we're looking for. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what they're trying to censor? [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to censor the photos in the video. [SPEAKER_01]: It gets grosser, but we have a sworn testimony, but there's photos and there's video for sure of gross people doing gross things and heinous things and violent things to young women and girls.
04 [SPEAKER_01]: And if you think that, oh, he's just protecting himself, he is not the entire Republican party is not twisting itself in a knot to protect Donald Trump. [SPEAKER_01]: They are twisting themselves in a knot and actively turning a blind eye to the murder of Americans to protect people's names we should not know. [SPEAKER_01]: People who are actually dangerous. [SPEAKER_01]: People who might kill any one of these Republicans and stage it as an accident. [SPEAKER_01]: These people have committed violent crimes. [SPEAKER_01]: These people's names are in these documents.
46 [SPEAKER_01]: These are the people we can't know about. [SPEAKER_01]: These are the names we can never hear, read out loud. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a reason these people haven't been prosecuted. [SPEAKER_01]: This is power beyond power. [SPEAKER_01]: This is money beyond money. [SPEAKER_01]: This is gross beyond gross. [SPEAKER_01]: And everything is about protecting that and the structures that all those people are involved in. [SPEAKER_01]: Like the whole world order might collapse is what they're protecting. [SPEAKER_01]: Because a whole bunch of billionaires and trillionaires and you think Elon Musk is gonna be the first trillionaires. [SPEAKER_01]: We already have them. [SPEAKER_01]: You just don't know their names.
27 [SPEAKER_01]: Those people are not flashy. [SPEAKER_01]: They are powerful and they're behind the scenes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they control a lot of structures. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure everyone in the Republic of Party that knows these names is sitting there going, oh, I could die if I support any of this coming out. [SPEAKER_01]: It feels like you're in a bond movie or some other type of terrible freak show where you're like, let's just sound too far-fetched. [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't real life. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a John Wick shit. [SPEAKER_01]: No, this is reality. [SPEAKER_01]: This is the world we live in. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's just been laid bare in front of us.
08 [SPEAKER_01]: And we're... [SPEAKER_01]: Either a turning a blind eye or we don't know what to do, I love so many people coming out to protest, more and more people are coming out to protest, more and more people are trying to do what they can to put an end to this. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's going to be really hard to end this. [SPEAKER_01]: and all of that has to do with racism and misogyny and the fact that so much of our country hates the country, hates what America is, hates what it was founded on. [SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't believe in the First Amendment, they only believe in their ability to be a dick without consequences.
50 [SPEAKER_01]: I've always said the most pernicious thing in human society is the idea that something about you grants you immunity from accountability here on this earth, that your religion, your skin color, your gender, your nationality, your wealth, your fame, grants you immunity. [SPEAKER_01]: are the most dangerous people on earth. [SPEAKER_01]: And our administration and the American population have way too many people who believe that something is granting them immunity, that something [SPEAKER_01]: allows them to not be held accountable for being good people here on this earth that they cannot be judged by their peers that only their God can judge them and their God doesn't judge them because their God has granted them immunity or their gender grants them immunity.
59 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a billionaire therefore I'm immune to consequences. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm famous. [SPEAKER_01]: Therefore, I'm immune to consequences, and so you can do whatever the fuck you want. [SPEAKER_01]: And those people don't do good things. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't use that immunity. [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, oh, if I'm going to have immunity, I'm going to go fuck shit up because they can't, because they're. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm nervous that this is where we are. [SPEAKER_01]: And talk about something else I realized when I watched the video of Alex predi getting murdered by federal agents, by America.
43 [SPEAKER_01]: We paid for people to murder this man. [SPEAKER_01]: They understand that nine ice agents are however many were there are on our payroll and they are serving us. [SPEAKER_01]: But what I realized when I watched that video is if I were to take that video and extrapolate that out to the broader population as a whole of men, we're going to say not, and I'm going to just say for argument's sake, let's say it's nine ice agents and one Alex [SPEAKER_01]: So ice agents shoved a woman and a man and let's assume he's a good man.
41 [SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know anything about his long-term history, but from his actions that day, I would believe that he was attempting to be a good Samaritan. [SPEAKER_01]: He was directing traffic. [SPEAKER_01]: He was trying to keep things peaceful and orderly. [SPEAKER_01]: He had a permit to carry a weapon, which I think he believed would protect him. [SPEAKER_01]: It didn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I think it got him killed. [SPEAKER_01]: A woman got shoved. [SPEAKER_01]: By nine men. [SPEAKER_01]: Nine men watched one shoved her and ate other people, watched it happen, did nothing or joined in.
22 [SPEAKER_01]: And only one took it upon himself to stand between that woman and danger, only one guy. [SPEAKER_01]: And it made me think about the not all men argument. [SPEAKER_01]: If you say, nine out of ten men are an act of threat to people. [SPEAKER_01]: In this particular case, women, only one would come to her aid. [SPEAKER_01]: And then if you extrapolate further to what happened to him, two, three, four, five, six guys are beating this man up for trying to defend this woman.
07 [SPEAKER_01]: They harmed him for that reason. [SPEAKER_01]: They wasn't obstructing an investigation. [SPEAKER_01]: They weren't searching for some violent criminal. [SPEAKER_01]: They were roaming the streets looking for a fight. [SPEAKER_01]: They were roaming the streets looking for a brown person. [SPEAKER_01]: They could throw into a van. [SPEAKER_01]: That's all they're doing. [SPEAKER_01]: Then none of this is targeted. [SPEAKER_01]: That makes the entire state of Minnesota a place that they can just roam and beat up people for any reason they wish. [SPEAKER_01]: But this man came to her defense. [SPEAKER_01]: And they killed him, and so, made me wonder, like, we know, I mean, if you look at percentages nine out of ten men are dangerous, like I would actively think that nine out of ten men are dangerous.
59 [SPEAKER_01]: At least three would actively harm you, and at least six would do nothing to stop it. [SPEAKER_01]: and the one person that tried to stop it was murdered by the other nine. [SPEAKER_01]: Even the ones that didn't push any run around, they were not innocent bystanders, nine people committed murder. [SPEAKER_01]: At least two shot him. [SPEAKER_01]: but nine people murdered that man. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was thinking about how some of you were like, oh, I don't want their kids, their young sons to be gay and they don't want their children to be subjected to bullying.
47 [SPEAKER_01]: It's because we all know that at least 30% of the male population is actively dangerous. [SPEAKER_01]: And I always thought it was about religion, like why a person couldn't espouse any feminine traits, why a men can't get their nails painted or actually take an active loving interest in their wife. [SPEAKER_01]: And the reason is we are conditioning men, especially from birth, we tell them, hey, you can't cry, you can't show weakness, because we know [SPEAKER_01]: Even amongst men, they know that 30% of predators, they're afraid of the same men we are wearing the masks and taking up the mantle and all of this bravado, it is because they're afraid of the same men we are.
47 [SPEAKER_01]: As mothers, we tell our sons to toughen up. [SPEAKER_01]: You can't show anything that's feminine about you. [SPEAKER_01]: Feminine is akin to weakness. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not even about gay. [SPEAKER_01]: You can fuck as many guys as you want to. [SPEAKER_01]: So long as outwardly presenting, you are not a feminine. [SPEAKER_01]: If anything about you is feminine, it presents as weakness and 30% of males are predators. [SPEAKER_01]: And they will murder you. [SPEAKER_01]: they want to murder you. [SPEAKER_01]: And so we tell our boys to put on a mask. [SPEAKER_01]: You got to act like them, you got to be like them. [SPEAKER_01]: You can't show any version of yourself that would allow them an opening to believe that they can murder you.
29 [SPEAKER_01]: And so we tell them don't be gay for their own protection. [SPEAKER_01]: Because everyone knows how dangerous this group of men are. [SPEAKER_01]: And because it's ice agents, it's not even oh 30% and then there's 60% who are bystanders. [SPEAKER_01]: No, that's even worse. [SPEAKER_01]: Ice agents are made up of that 30% that are predators. [SPEAKER_01]: They are actively dangerous to society. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why they've chosen this profession. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why they got hired to do what they're doing. [SPEAKER_01]: It is a license to kill. [SPEAKER_01]: It is a license to hurt. [SPEAKER_01]: How many of them are actively [SPEAKER_01]: raping women.
11 [SPEAKER_01]: How many of them are hurting children? [SPEAKER_01]: How many of them are stealing, are murdering, are doing whatever they can't. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't wear masks. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't have idea on them. [SPEAKER_01]: We have no idea who they are. [SPEAKER_01]: They have been granted full immunity. [SPEAKER_01]: They can do whatever they want. [SPEAKER_01]: They are a mafia. [SPEAKER_01]: They are their own cartel. [SPEAKER_01]: And I found that when I thought about [SPEAKER_01]: Someone asked me, do you believe that people are good or bad, inherently good or bad, and I don't believe there are people that are just good or just bad? [SPEAKER_01]: I believe at any moment you can do a good thing at any moment you can do a bad thing.
56 [SPEAKER_01]: I know from experience that most people [SPEAKER_01]: will not put themselves in harm's way to help somebody else. [SPEAKER_01]: And so what defines good? [SPEAKER_01]: Are we just neutral? [SPEAKER_01]: Are we just bystanders? [SPEAKER_01]: And I would think that Alex Pretty wasn't one. [SPEAKER_01]: I like to think I'm not one either. [SPEAKER_01]: If I saw something, and I am that kind of person. [SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm that kind of person. [SPEAKER_01]: When I see something, or if I'm put in a position where I might be in danger, but I have to help somebody, I'm going to help somebody. [SPEAKER_01]: And that just is who I am and how I want to raise my son to be, that if you think about not all men, well, it's definitely all those men.
43 [SPEAKER_01]: And we just lost one of those good not all men. [SPEAKER_01]: There's one lesson this world now. [SPEAKER_01]: because the good guys that we think, the not all men guys, the guys you want to marry, the guys you want to find, and think that are gonna be your protector provider, or whatever, they're one in 10. [SPEAKER_01]: At best, there's six in 10 that won't hit you. [SPEAKER_01]: That won't rape you. [SPEAKER_01]: But don't give a shit about you. [SPEAKER_01]: If you were hurt, they would do nothing.
25 [SPEAKER_01]: That's just the truth of it. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's who most of us marry. [SPEAKER_01]: And then there is the ones that are divvily violent and actively harmful. [SPEAKER_01]: And because everybody's afraid of those guys, we have to keep living this way. [SPEAKER_01]: The patriarchy isn't just killing women. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not just killing children. [SPEAKER_01]: is hurting men, men are harmed by the patriarchy. [SPEAKER_01]: If you think this is good for you as a man, this is not good for you as a man. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not masculinity, this is not about alpha male and you wanna be in charge and this is what masculinity looks like.
07 [SPEAKER_01]: This is killing you. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is the reason you can't get a date. [SPEAKER_01]: This is the reason your genes won't move on to the next generation. [SPEAKER_01]: you have to actively disavalvish. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to actively say, this isn't a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever is going on, however you view it, you have to say none of this is just clear cut murder. [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't need to be part of a manhood that means I get to commit murder. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not beneficial to you. [SPEAKER_01]: that doesn't bring you happiness, that doesn't bring you joy, that's not going to make your life better, that's not going to bring you money or fame or wealth or whatever it is that you're looking for.
48 [SPEAKER_01]: This is not good for society. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just clear as day to me that [SPEAKER_01]: This is why we are talking about boys the way we are. [SPEAKER_01]: This is why women are so fed up. [SPEAKER_01]: This is why divorces are so high. [SPEAKER_01]: And women initiate so many divorces. [SPEAKER_01]: It's because you can see it in just that interaction. [SPEAKER_01]: A good man with a gun couldn't keep himself safe. [SPEAKER_01]: Good men with guns get murdered. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not, oh, if you want to combat a bad man with a gun, you need a good man with a gun. [SPEAKER_01]: When a good man with guns get murdered, that's what we're seeing.
30 [SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of gun, there is no world in which [SPEAKER_01]: the people who love have made gun ownership their entire personality. [SPEAKER_01]: There are military officers and hunters who understand firearms. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking about those people. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking about the highly trained individuals who understand the mechanics of firearm operation and their use. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about people who are [SPEAKER_01]: actively getting guns and said, oh well, there's a tyrannical government. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why we have the second amendment. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, where are they now? [SPEAKER_01]: We have a tyrannical government now and where are those good guys with guns protecting us protesters in our freedom of speech in the American way.
17 [SPEAKER_01]: That's not why they own guns. [SPEAKER_01]: There was never about tyranny. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not about tyranny of the [SPEAKER_01]: Their inspiration is not the zombie apocalypse, their inspiration is madmacked. [SPEAKER_01]: They are going to take those guns and turn it on their fellow citizens. [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody who's melanated or in immigrant or anybody who isn't in those power structures know that none of those people that have all of those guns were ever going to use it to protect their neighbors. [SPEAKER_01]: If something were to happen and there were some kind of disaster or catastrophe, they're going to use it to shoot their neighbors in the face and take their food. [SPEAKER_01]: You come to their house and be like, please help me know they're just gonna murder you and take your stuff.
01 [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the guns are for. [SPEAKER_01]: The guns are not to protect anybody. [SPEAKER_01]: They actually wanna kill people. [SPEAKER_01]: And let's stop pretending we have all this guns so we can protect ourselves. [SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's protected. [SPEAKER_01]: This is all a danger. [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody with that many semi-automatic weapons is a dangerous person. [SPEAKER_01]: Cause they're not protecting their home with that. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're not protecting their neighborhood with that. [SPEAKER_01]: They're going to use it. [SPEAKER_01]: If something like this, like if it's civil war, I know what side they're going to be. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not going to be the side of justice. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be the side of America. [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be on the side of, oh, I know my neighbors don't have guns. [SPEAKER_01]: I can kill them all and take their stuff.
45 [SPEAKER_01]: That's what that will be. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to end this episode with, I know I was doing something stupid, something yet thoughtful, something useful thing. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's hard to talk about in that format when this is what we're faced with and the reality of what we're faced with. [SPEAKER_01]: And we shouldn't even just do these shows because one white man was murdered in broad daylight [SPEAKER_01]: We should be warned the whole world that this was the truth, that this was coming for us if we voted for Trump again.
26 [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody warned us. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand how you didn't know. [SPEAKER_01]: And they say, oh, I didn't vote for you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it told you. [SPEAKER_01]: If you thought it was a joke, if you thought the presidency is like a reality TV show and Congress is just a reality TV show and it's scripted like WWE and none of its real. [SPEAKER_01]: It's real. [SPEAKER_01]: your vote matters the things they say matter. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why this president gets to be wise, cracker, and chief, and we just get to say every apporant thing he says is a joke. [SPEAKER_01]: He's the president of the United States. [SPEAKER_01]: Some people are dying in the street. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the reality. [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to end with a talk about rights.
06 [SPEAKER_01]: I've seen so many videos of immigration attorneys, well, meaning, let's say, you have the right to remain silent, ask for a judge's warrant, you have this right or that right, you have the right to an attorney, you have the right to make a phone call, you have the right to not answer the door, know the law, know your rights, rights aren't rights if they're not defended. [SPEAKER_01]: There's no such thing as a universal right, including life itself. [SPEAKER_01]: The universe does not give a shit if the Earth continues to exist or not. [SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow, an asteroid could come hit us and everything on Earth would be gone is not like the other planets get together and go, oh no, Earth, we better save it.
54 [SPEAKER_01]: They have a right to exist. [SPEAKER_01]: Without defense, there's no such thing as a right. [SPEAKER_01]: When we think about rights, you have no rights if no one is defending them. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have the right to remain silent. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have the right to an attorney. [SPEAKER_01]: If no one is fighting for that, if all those people in immigration detention centers don't get to call anyone, they don't have a right to a phone call, they don't have a right to an attorney, they don't have any rights. [SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, even committing a crime, you don't have a right to a trial by a jury of your peers. [SPEAKER_01]: You can just be murdered in the street.
34 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, we can just execute you. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the country is saying that. [SPEAKER_01]: The government is saying that. [SPEAKER_01]: So we don't have first amendment rights. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have second amendment rights. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have any, that bill of rights, the first ten are there. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have any of those. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, let's pretend. [SPEAKER_01]: We lived in the society. [SPEAKER_01]: We lived in eight, nine, 10 years ago. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we have rights. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we defend those rights. [SPEAKER_01]: There were consequences. [SPEAKER_01]: There were judges. [SPEAKER_01]: There was contempt of court. [SPEAKER_01]: There was impeachment. [SPEAKER_01]: There were trials. [SPEAKER_01]: But we have a flaccid judiciary. [SPEAKER_01]: The judiciary wants this.
15 [SPEAKER_01]: They're okay with you being murdered in this street. [SPEAKER_01]: They are powerless to stop it. [SPEAKER_01]: They have castrated themselves, same thing with Congress. [SPEAKER_01]: We have granted power and authority to a Congress that loves sucking executive branch dick. [SPEAKER_01]: They love it because it allows them a position of relative fame and glory in the moment. [SPEAKER_01]: They're not gonna protect you. [SPEAKER_01]: They have no interest in protecting you. [SPEAKER_01]: They can't. [SPEAKER_01]: We look at Democrats like why aren't you doing more? [SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing they can do. [SPEAKER_01]: We have castrated the branches of government that have checks and balances.
59 [SPEAKER_01]: We made them completely impotent. [SPEAKER_01]: And we look at it and go, oh, that's funny. [SPEAKER_01]: That it's not really funny. [SPEAKER_01]: but we don't have rights anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: None of these rights are being defended. [SPEAKER_01]: So you don't have the right to do process. [SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow, I says no jurisdiction over U.S. citizens. [SPEAKER_01]: Even if any of these people they've killed, [SPEAKER_01]: were committing a crime. [SPEAKER_01]: They would have had to call local law enforcement and say, so, and so is committing a crime. [SPEAKER_01]: They're assaulting a federal officer. [SPEAKER_01]: We have arrested them. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to come pick them up, charge them with assaulting a federal officer and then they go to trial and then they go to jail or prison if they're found guilty of that offense.
47 [SPEAKER_01]: They actually have no jurisdiction over U.S. citizens. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't get to push them, they don't get to boss them or they don't get to do anything. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, none of that helps with immigration and customs enforcement. [SPEAKER_01]: So we have to understand that tomorrow an ice agent could walk into your place of work, put you in handcuffs, regardless of whether you're a citizen or not, and take you somewhere and tell no one. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, oh, just comply. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's say I let them handcuff me. [SPEAKER_01]: And I say, I let them take me somewhere. [SPEAKER_01]: I say, I asked for a warrant. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't have warrants. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't know who the violent criminals are.
28 [SPEAKER_01]: The violent criminals are one in a million in that community. [SPEAKER_01]: They cannot find them. [SPEAKER_01]: They have no concept of it. [SPEAKER_01]: They're finding random people. [SPEAKER_01]: Just regular people. [SPEAKER_01]: This is nothing to do with violence or criminals. [SPEAKER_01]: But let's say, everybody just complies. [SPEAKER_01]: But how far down the road do we have to go before we realize that this is on its way to a genocide at worst or a civil war at best? [SPEAKER_01]: Like how far down the road do we need to go? [SPEAKER_01]: Why are we being so patient? [SPEAKER_01]: Why are we looking at this going?
09 [SPEAKER_01]: It's so awesome. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not awesome. [SPEAKER_01]: None of this is good. [SPEAKER_01]: And we don't have rights. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're gone now, because if there's nobody to defend them, there's no such a thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I want everybody to take that away from today, take that away from what you're witnessing. [SPEAKER_01]: If Alex Pretty didn't have rights, [SPEAKER_01]: in any former fashion, and if you believe with 100% certainty that he deserve to be murdered in the street in the way that he was murdered, they should put ten bullets in the man.
53 [SPEAKER_01]: As they were walking away, he was on the ground, they shot him while he was laying on the ground repeatedly, he was not a danger to anyone. [SPEAKER_01]: He was making the city safer. [SPEAKER_01]: If that person, a good guy with a gun, a white male, a person who is an ICU nurse at the [SPEAKER_01]: If that guy doesn't have rights, if that guy deserved to be executed in the manner in which he was executed, none of us have rights anymore.
43 [SPEAKER_01]: They're gone and you need to realize it. [SPEAKER_01]: And every protester and everybody who walks in these streets, everybody who speaks, everybody who works, everyone who breathes. [SPEAKER_01]: in this country. [SPEAKER_01]: Whether here legally or undocumented does not have rights. [SPEAKER_01]: I was born a citizen. [SPEAKER_01]: I was born in this country. [SPEAKER_01]: I was born here to people who came here legally, came here with papers, came here the right way, came here and didn't commit any crimes. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't have rights and I know [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm nervous for this country, because it will take generations to repair this damage.
31 [SPEAKER_01]: They are trying to kill us. [SPEAKER_01]: This government, these people, and it's a group of incompetent folks, the level of incompetence in this administration is astounding. [SPEAKER_01]: And the only hope I have is that there's enough of us [SPEAKER_01]: that can survive this and put an end to this, that we can hold all of these people to account. [SPEAKER_01]: Trump will be dead by then. [SPEAKER_01]: Not because someone murdered him, I'm against the death penalty for God's sakes. [SPEAKER_01]: But he is old. [SPEAKER_01]: By the time we can enact anything [SPEAKER_01]: Trump will be long gone and everybody needs to understand that this isn't about Trump.
29 [SPEAKER_01]: Trump is just the image. [SPEAKER_01]: He is the picture of Dory and Gray. [SPEAKER_01]: He is the decrepit soul of what only seeking money and fame does to a person. [SPEAKER_01]: And for some reason, in America, over the last 40 or 50 years, we have decided that the American dream is Trump. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is the America that dream creates. [SPEAKER_01]: And I hope one day we can reject it. [SPEAKER_01]: I hope one day we can realize that none of this is good.
12 [SPEAKER_01]: And this isn't good for anybody. [SPEAKER_01]: And all those people who say get a sense of humor or it's not that serious. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're overreacting. [SPEAKER_01]: I think all those people are about to have a very rude awakening [SPEAKER_01]: in a future when we realize that we don't want to live this way. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have to live this way. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have to have an America that looks like this. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just waiting for everybody to figure that out. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm going to be waiting for a while. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm optimistic. [SPEAKER_01]: that this is not forever.
53 [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm processing what is happening to this country to the souls of the American people and how we live in a time where it's this dire and the stakes are this high. [SPEAKER_01]: And we think it's removed from us, but it's not. [SPEAKER_01]: We are looking at atrocity upon atrocity [SPEAKER_01]: just some far away land. [SPEAKER_01]: We're looking at Americans, killing Americans, and we're looking at Americans, killing innocent people. [SPEAKER_01]: How do we keep going? [SPEAKER_01]: How do we have perspective? [SPEAKER_01]: And I was thinking about the purpose of today's episode.
35 [SPEAKER_01]: I made the last episode about how good my life was and how weird that is to me. [SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't belong to me and I don't deserve [SPEAKER_01]: But no one deserves this reality. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not blind to the fact that there's good in this world. [SPEAKER_01]: but this is fucking evil, this is not God, this is not Jesus, this is not Allah, this is not anything that is good or holy in this world. [SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing you can do to justify what we are witnessing.
16 [SPEAKER_01]: And if you're twisting yourself and nuts and scoffing and rolling your eyes at [SPEAKER_01]: it kind of tells me who you are. [SPEAKER_01]: And I feel really sorry because it must be so hard being you that you have to find your delight in this. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to find your power in this. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the position you're in. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that this is going to go anywhere, but this is the end of this episode. [SPEAKER_01]: This has been Sheetle Weapon. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Leethle Sheetle and I'm going to go hug my son and be appreciative of the small joys in life that still make it worth living and I'm going to hope beyond all hope [SPEAKER_01]: They're still good and there's more good and that the good people, like Alex Pretty will continue to put themselves in harm's way for those that need help and that I am one of those people that given the choice to help somebody who's vulnerable, I would continue to make that choice.
42 [SPEAKER_01]: and that I don't get jaded, that I don't give up, and that I don't turn a blind eye to reality. [SPEAKER_01]: So if your heart's sitting heavy, understand it's sitting heavy for me too, and you're not alone, we all see it. [SPEAKER_01]: And there is a pathway out of this, this won't be forever. [SPEAKER_01]: I hope I see you next time and I hope the next episode I do. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not quite so heavy. [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening. [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for hanging out with us today if you love this episode or if you'll need to [SPEAKER_01]: didn't hate it.
