All right, let's get into a Dr. Trey WWE money in the bank recap review this pass out right from the smoothie King Center in New Orleans Louisiana. We'll go in full results here in card order Roman Reigns defeated LA night to retain the world of a way championship. You and I both had Roman Reigns in this one Tiffany Stratton defeated JC J in last legend low of ice rock stand presence sold Ruka by winning the women's money the bank contract for the second time I had last legend Dr. Trey had rocks in Perez.

4:16 Oba Femi defeated Bronson Reed we both had Bronson Reed excuse me Oba Femi we certainly did not have Bronson Reed live Morgan defeated Stephanie Valkorn Becky Lidge to win the women's world championship. We both had live Morgan and Penta defeated Bronn Breaker CM Punk Chivanevans Kevin Owens and Trick Williams to win the men's money in the bank contract. I had Kevin Owens Dr. Trey had CM Punk we both went three and two on the show some of the biggest takeaways from the event Penta got the biggest win of his WWE career now as a guaranteed championship opportunity whenever he wants it. Bronn Breaker looked like the monster of the match even in defeat including the brutal ambulance spot with Javon Evans. Tiffany Stratton becomes a two time mismanied the bank immediately puts another major variable into the WWE women's title picture.

4:58 Liv Morgan is champion again while Stephanie Valkorn can argue she lost the title without ever being pinned in a straight singles match and Roman survived LNI put the post match bloodline 9 for 6Kos immediately pushed the show into the next chapter bottom line money the bank did exactly what the concept is supposed to do it created two instant threats while moving several main event stories forward before we get into some of the big questions from the event Dr. Trey event rating and match of the night I loved money the bank. I gave it a 4.3 and my match of the night was Roman Reigns versus LNI would say you my friend. I had a little bit lower than you I had it a 4.0 and I had to row in an LA night I did I love certain aspects of it but then there are parts of it was just like I think Tiffany wouldn't kind of brought it down for me so I did 4.0.

5:49 If Tiffany didn't win would it have changed yeah probably a little bit just because because I'm like what do you is this Tiffany doing a repeat of her storyline from a couple years ago with with Naya. Like is she going to constantly just be like lingering over Chelsea shoulder waiting to cash in I thought the tension with like Roxanne winning would have been more fun especially with live winning the women's title having the women's title and the intercontinental title in judgment day and Roxanne holding the briefcase knowing she cash in the ring. If she wanted to I agree with you I think the Roxanne factual would have been very cool especially with live winning would add to some great dynamics to the judgment day storyline that's going on there.

6:30 So some of the big questions coming out of here Dr. Trey was Penta the right choice to win the men's briefcase over Braun Breaker. If the plan is to actually push him to the top and create a new Hispanic megastar all right Mysterio back in you know 2000 what did we need to win the rumble 2002 2003 who like who do you tell me Mysterio all right. Yeah like oh sex yeah oh six yeah when like when Ray won the rumble and he got that megastar push and push the top card if that's what they were planning on doing like hey we're going to really build Penta out as our big Hispanic star that we're going to send him the triple A all the time we're going to send him all over this you know any place like he's going to be our focal point Sandy like like at this point he's taking the crown from Ray Mysterio as that next generational leader.

7:21 Then yeah that's great but if there's something where he gets screwed and somebody takes the briefcase from him or like he needs to cash in and get the world championship it can't be anything other than that. Yeah to me it feels like it would be a cash in on more likely the world heavyweight champion excuse me the WWE undisputed championship then it would be Roman Reigns or Opafemi if those are the two guys that are going to be having the championships right now I mean I can't see Penta cash in in on Roman Reigns could you. Unless you know Penta's actually from the Bay Area and his loyalty is to 946 that would be interesting that would be he's I know he's from San Diego or at least he's from Mexico but you know finds home in San Diego I believe.

8:07 Yeah but yeah and he plus he kind of if you look at all those guys on Smackdown the ones that we've been talking about for weeks the Sammy C.M. Pawn KO you know all the fans I mean the only guy that size wise he has really match up with that well as Gunther but we've seen Gunther have great matches with. You know Sammy and J.U. so he fits in better. That division right now kind of feels like the middleweight championship title whereas you know you got Oba and Roman and you know LA nice pretty jacked like those are big heavyweight kind of guys on and throw Braun Breaker in the mix those are big heavyweight hard hitters Penta does kind of feel better on the mix on Smackdown if they went that towards him even Cody's in the same size Penta is so they all kind of fit together.

8:52 The rise on Penta since that match with Roman is so organic and cool to see because the fans are really behind him they look at him into different light he's being booked in a different light I love it I think that was the right call if there were some rumblings out there that Braun Breaker was supposed to win it. So it's I think they made the right call by putting it on Penta because I think the the longevity of it is is going to be very exciting to see so I wonder if they do it sooner rather than later like I want to be surprised maybe if Penta gets a surprise victory over Roman towards the end of the year while he's battling 9 for 6 and then you know ends up dropping the title headed into maniac is that's where we'll talk about a little bit I think of Roman's path is certainly head in towards and a potential ruler that could be standing in his way.

9:39 Dr. Trey who has the more interesting road ahead with the contract I think you kind of answer this but is it Penta or Tiffany Stratton? I think Penta is more interesting just because of all the variables do you keep him on raw. I mean right now he's a super baby phase I mean they have all the murder I mean you saw the case I mean there I if it's not all if the replica is not already upon you know shop WWE I don't know when it's going to be but there's so much he's so colorful he's so you know charismatic as great catchphrase. Do you keep him on raw do you move him to smack down I think that's more interesting than the Tiffany stuff because the Tiffany stuff like it was it's two years ago we kind of saw this and it's like where does it fit in I mean do you have her turn heel on Chelsea like what do you do with the Tiffany side of it because you still have Charlotte Alexa you know JC in her group like you have a lot of women on Smackdown what do you do with Tiffany other than have her linger there or do you jump her to raw and have her cash in on live at some point but they're both pretty loaded I just want to see kind of a better storyline come out of it than something that looks like it's kind of been rehashed a couple years ago.

10:54 Yeah the Penta storyline is definitely the most exciting because of the direction it may go the one for Tiffany screams you know she turns her back on on Chelsea Green. Like part of me even wonders if like Nikki Bella is the person behind it because they've been teasing a lot of Nikki and Chelsea stuff lately but it certainly seems like the sympathetic baby face of Chelsea Green getting stabbed in the back by Tiffany strand is going to happen. Though I guess her legitimate injury on that on that ladder made derail things I mean it's amazing that she finished that match but yeah there you go so money in the bank in the books two new briefcase winners Penta and Tiffany Stratton. Moving forward here to the next night Monday our two nights later Monday night Raw Dr. Trey Carmelo Hayes joins the nine for six and we wonder if we just gave this group it's missing star so you had solosiko and the Usos finally reuniting against the nine for six on raw just when they look like they were ready to win Carmelo Hayes made a shocking return with a crowbar Hayes stopped solo help the nine for six beat down the reunited bloodline and seemingly in line himself with Royce Keys Bronco name illusion price and Jada Parker you know we figured that someone was going to be joining the nine for six we thought Jacob to here we go it's Carmelo Hayes.

12:05 The nine for six already felt dangerous because of the numbers and the violence Carmelo gives the group something different and establish single star with personality history and credibility. It also makes the bloodline reunion feel less like the ending of the story and more like the beginning of a bigger war Roman Reigns is still hovering over everything without fully stepping into the fight himself bottom line Carmelo Hayes may be the piece that turns the nine for six from a dangerous faction into a true main event at so Dr. Trey I ask you this is Carmelo Hayes the right centerpiece for the nine for six. And that's my question because I don't know if he's a centerpiece I think it's still this is a Royce Keys faction with Carmelo being his you know swing guy in a sense his little his little hit man if you will along with you know the other two guys so I don't know if him joining the mix I don't think that makes him the leader of nine for six because to me right now it's Royce Keys is the leader.

13:01 It does in a lot of ways now kind of clear up what we're doing a survivor series because you know the little backstage spot between LA night and solo seco and all that stuff it kind of gives it feels like it gives it much more of a clear definition as to where we're headed. To me I was if it was going to be like if Jacob jump to nine for six Jacobs the leader but if it's somebody else then it is a Royce Keys faction so right now that's what it's like me it's it's a Royce Keys faction and he's bringing in people that you know feel like they've been. Look down upon push down stuff like that and he's kind of that pie pie for bringing them all together so you bring up an interesting point there because I was looking at the clothes of raw it's funny that you brought this up and all I can think of was like I don't know how they make Jacob part of this group and not have Royce Keys take a back seat like I love that they were surrounding Royce Keys he's sitting in the chair to close raw like I love that image you put Jacob in there which makes a ton of sense storyline wise and I think the fans direction goes well now Royce Keys is a secondary away.

14:06 It is a secondary a one B maybe just a straight up to to Jacob fat to which would be one which then it's like so would they do fat to returning and and and not turning his back on the bloodline I think everything is pointing towards turning his back on the bloodline because if you look this is how we how at least I think you look at the way war games is you've got Bronco Nima Lucien price Carmelo Hayes Royce Keys I thought maybe they would do a mix in the game. Mixed in there there's had been some discussion about nail we being involved I now wonder they add a fifth member let's just say it's Jacob Fatu then on the bloodline side you would have the Usos Jimmy and Jay Solo Roman Reigns eventually is going to get involved with this thing following crown jewel would be my guess and then the fifth piece is I think that they go the LA night route based off of what took place at the end of money in the bank and then some of the interactions behind the scenes as of late like Solo Saco is the one that's like hey LA night let's help me out.

15:04 With this this blood nine for six problem and team with the bloodline which is everything that he's anti against but that's going to elevate him some similar to how we saw the Roman Reigns see a punk story line hash out a couple years ago. So I don't know dr. Trey I you know part of me wonders okay do you do you dip in and add a fifth member that we're not seeing right now to keep Royce's the centerpiece do you still add Jacob and Jacob becomes the face while Royce takes the back seat I don't love that but it's a it's confusing because I kind of just want to see Royce keys like an opportunity here to shine and I'm digging what he's doing right now. Yeah I mean you I think for like the fans like us that have seen his journey from W. W. I mean from AEW to WWE we we we kind of follow his progression in all of this but you know for the W. W. fans that he still knew and really this has been his really is first chance to shine on his own is like.

16:02 But does he have the credibility in place where he doesn't need somebody like Jacob maybe the Carmelo factor and if Carmelo saying like you know I did this because I look up to you you're the reason I joined you know kind of giving him his flowers and that respect Mike lend him some extra credibility but I to me if you look at it on paper and you're like it's Royce keys Carmelo Hayes and Lucian and Bronco even against Jacob the Usos and solo on paper that seat. And over that seems one sided because you know the bloodline sign has way more credibility than nine four six so I still think you need to move you know Jacob over to nine four six and then add in Roman and L. A. N.

16:48 and L. A. doing it as like hey I'm doing this as a favor to solo but you guys owe me much like the C. I'm punk situation was and just kind of go from there like that that would be how I would put it together but you know war games can you know if you have a great war games it can actually make some career so you might just keep it as four on four with the whole blood you know Jacob solo the Usos against this new incarnation of nine four six and just and leave it at that and just figure out what to do with L. A. Night and Roman after survivor series so I was going to ask this question we've kind of quasi already talked about it so let me just ask it anyway here does this eventually force Roman reigns to fully reunite with solace a co on the Usos.

17:29 I think it does if Jacob joins nine four six if it's Jacob solo I mean he said it when the interviews after it might have been the one with Kathy Kelly or something after the show but he's like you know my family is my priority but this title is the number one and they all get it. Like I always look out for my family blah blah blah but he was made to say like hey I'm here if for them if they need me in this but he's not he hasn't been single about integrity we had a little bit host match in mind the bank where nine four six came down but they really haven't made a move on Roman it's always been against the Usos and Jacob so to me if you move Jacob to nine four six then Roman has to get involved because he's a credible threat we've seen the title matches which is how you know Jacob ended up in the bloodline again that's to me but if it's if it's just Royce keys I don't think the fans look at Royce keys as being like a credible threat to Roman reigns yet so I don't think until you make that move I don't think he needs to be involved yet.

18:35 Great stuff there Dr. Trath speaking of credible threats for Roman reigns according reports for WrestleMania 43 in April 2027 Rio de Saudi Arabia Roman reigns versus Oba Femi is on the table and do we see WWE already building towards that next mega match. Oba Femi defeated Bronson Reed as we know money the bank had immediately found himself being connected to Roman reigns during the post showed the crowd Shannon for Roman and over responded by calling out the World of the World Champion on raw Paul home Paul him approach Oba after the win and Oba made it clear he tends to build his career on his own terms rather than become another Paul Hamon guy. Dave Meltzer reported that Roman reigns versus Oba Femi reigns WWE's plan for WrestleMania 43 Meltzer also reported that Oba's money the bank challenge was improvised in response to the crowd and was not meant to cement an earlier match at Survivor Series.

19:24 So if the report is accurate Dr. Trath WWE has already identified one of its biggest WrestleMania matches months in a vanced Roman is still positioned as WWE's measuring stick while Oba increasingly feels like the company's next homegrown heavyweight star. The timing certainly matters here WWE does not need to rush the match simply because the crowd already wants it the next several months can be about making Oba feel like someone who belongs across the ring from Roman not just someone with upside. Roman also does not necessarily need to lose the World of the World Championship before the match for the for the rivalry to feel erroneous bottom line Roman reigns versus Oba Femi has the potential to be a true generational handoff match. But WWE has to resist the urge to get there too quickly so I ask you this Dr. Trath is Roman reigns versus Oba Femi already worthy of a WrestleMania 43 marquee spot.

20:12 Yeah, in a lot of ways it's it's reminiscent of Hogan warrior. You know you go back to WrestleMania 6 I mean that was thing warrior was the hot upcoming neck and everybody has signed him off as he was going to be the next guy after Hogan and Hogan was kind of you know in the twilight of his WWE career we didn't know he had all the NW Hollywood stuff left in him but that's that was kind of that passing of the torch match. You know in some ways you know rock scene was like that but or rock Hogan you know but we have those moments where you're like okay that's this is that passing of the torch match and in a lot of ways Roman and Oba is is eerily similar to Hogan warrior in a lot of ways so if that's the direction they're going yeah I think you and you still enough time to really really get Oba even hotter.

21:09 Adding into that I mean we got the Royal Rumble coming up and the Oba wins the Rumble we kind of know where it's going so that that would be my that would be my thought process and then you could have a whole then we can spin off and then Oba and Braun is your scene in orton for the next you know five to 10 years as well where they can always kind of come back to that. So if this is really the plan Dr. Trath do you believe that Oba should be the man who eventually beats Roman reigns for the Royal Lvoid Championship during this current reign. I mean if if I'm the company and I have faith in that guy that bad guy is going to be here long term he's not leaving the great thing about Oba so far he doesn't have an injury history like this is not a guy who you know frequently polls muscles or tears stuff or whatever if like that's my guy that I can go I can bank on this guy for a long time plus here's the crazy thing Jeff I think if you make Oba family the face of your company all that like borderline racism stuff about W.E.

So I mean that he checks a lot of those boxes you're looking for as well spoken looks the part acts the part wrestles the part I mean he could be that guy that you know you build this company around for the you the 20 20s into the 20 30s. Yeah that that whole thing with with triple age I mean I don't want to go down the the races and part by any means but I mean that that never in WWE in general I never really understood just based on some of the actions especially as of as of late the last several years but that's a thing that I certainly don't want to get down but yeah you've got Oba family Roman reigns coming up here WrestleMania Razz right now 43 bar in any injury I cannot see any storyline shake up or you know someone getting a rocket ship like an LA night or Penta that would you know do derail Oba being in that spot by any means Oba seems like the guy if you're putting down money right now for a future for the Royal Rumble 2027 I think it's very very very plausible to say well Oba family's got to be the winner of that one the only you know if would be would they rather put him in elimination chamber where he just destroys five other people and pulls off like a shame a blazer back in elimination 2020 so reigns Oba appears to be on the table not much of a surprise there for WrestleMania 43 and then that takes us over to a W Dr.

23:27 Trey another paper view this weekend we've got a W Ressel dream this Saturday from the addition financial arena in Orlando Florida takes place on Saturday at 7 p.m. East the main event is the first ever clockwork clockwork carnage match for Will Ospreay's AW World Championship as of this morning Wednesday morning as we record the podcast today on Wednesday some Ojo and Mike Bailey of join Osprey while five remaining spots will be filled through qualifiers on tonight three hour dynamite collision special so Dr. Trey and I have no ideas we do this the rest of the card is obviously already loaded with championship matches so some of those clockwork carnage qualifiers which is just an absolute tongue twister for me for some reason you've got TNT champion Darby on versus Hatchin Cereau Rico Ricochet versus Ace Austin can also get to Kesha versus Brian Cage Adam Copeland versus Josh Alexander and Kazitsica O'Cotta versus Myron Reed if I had a guest Dr. Trey I think Darby Ricochet to Kesha Copeland and O'Cotta are a pretty fair field to guests get in those qualifying matches.

24:27 So Cop has been the company now what two and a half years yep about that and if you if he wins this qualifier match this will be his first shot at the World Championship I believe he may have had one me did you have one with you I believe he has moxley right. Turn moxley's run as the death rider on the death riders is champ it may have okay so yeah but that's it's still like I mean I mean you can actually have cop and O'Cotta well I mean I mean some of these people in this I mean it would be really really fun and this would be an excuse for them to take the title off osprey if they wanted to and have them come back and chase somebody else again for the title but because this is a match where really with the chaos going on it's an excuse to take a time we seem to do before triple threat matches for the very matches it's always an excuse to take the title off the champ without them looking weak so if they wanted to pull the trigger otherwise it's just like I don't get I don't get it I don't get why you're doing a multi person title match so quickly into ospreys run unless it's just a favorite osprey he want he wanted to do a match like this again I just I don't get the I don't get the upside of the booking for this match for osprey for building him as your champ my guess is that it's a quick turnaround from the last paper you all out and that this is like an easy way to kind of fill that buffer by having like osprey look really strong against some some big big name or just just give him the show off and then whoever wins the match gets to challenge him and then you get a month to build up the next point I hear you but I think if you're building him as the ace you don't

26:04 take him off the show right yeah I just like for me like these it's just a weird thing like then in a sense he's beating six seven of his top challengers if he wins yeah I hear you I hear you so I'm I'm not I'm not a huge fan of the list or they long yeah like if you do if you're doing a four way match and you got time to build up wild four of these guys or kind of the same thing we've talked about with KO Sammy and punk like their story into that's wild three of these guys are all four of these guys are in this match I'm go with it but to do qualifiers so quickly before the show you're not really building up anything in that sense. All right Dr. Trey let's get through the card here as of Wednesday morning we have the Brawling birds taking on Harley Cameron and Chris at lander for the AW Women's Roll Tag Team Championship you've got John Moxley defending AW Continental Championship against Mark Davis on Draudele Edelow Defancy AW National Champion to get chip against a muscle champ the Young Bucks Defender AW Roll Tag Team Championship against Kevin Heinek Heil Fletcher Mercedes-Mona Defender AW Women's Roll Championship against Tekla surf Strickland and the new level are defending the AW World Trio Championship in a best two out of three falls match against Hangman of Paige Bandito and Brody King will Osprey takes on Samo Joe Mike Bailey and then the multiple two B determines in the clockwork carnage match for AW World Championship for those wondering what the hell is a clockwork carnage match to wrestlers start another randomly selected wrestler enters every three minutes before all eight are in anyone pin or submitted is eliminated once the final

27:38 wrestler enters the remaining competitors enter a 15 minute scoring period every pin fall or submission scores one fall the wrestler the most falls when time expires wins what I am most or interested in is whether clockwork carnage feels innovative or simply too complicated for Osprey's first major pay per view defense after beating Moxley and Ocata with her AW uses the match to protect Osprey while creating his ex challenger something Dr. Trages pointed out Mercedes-Mona vs Tekla finally happening after Mercedes missed all out the young bucks defending against Fletcher a night after they earn the shot at all out and then the two out of three falls Trio's match has enough star power to steal the show bottom line wrestle dream is built around one huge experiment whether AW can make clockwork carnage feel like a major role title spectacle instead of a complicated gimmick is certainly the challenge Dr. Trey does clockwork carnage make Osprey's role title offense more exciting or unnecessarily complicated it's like it's like the championship scramble match and the Royal Rumble had a bastard baby yeah that I'm sure you read the yeah it's like the you read that off I'm like I'm already confused in the match hasn't started yet sometimes and having a was the like I said before like if if Osprey comes out he scores pins on half these guys in his match in order to get enough points to win well now he's just defeated four of his top challengers and then where do you go from here I think if you're to me I think they're just trying to get back to Osprey MJF at some point here in the in the near future the next like three or four months

29:12 and that might be it's not as bad as Darby's wrong where Darby was just beating all these guys and back to back to back weeks to give to where he had like 27 successful title defenses in like two months but I don't like the idea of like scoring pinfalls over challenges now it may be a thing where like somebody pins Osprey and that's how he comes out as the next number one contender and you can build a story of that and that might be fine but it does seem like for this level of a main event title matches does seem a little bit overcome this would be great for the international international national will go national dude on the national title level where that would be able to get exposed to it and then bring it up to the main to the world's title when you work the king's out of it fair enough fair enough and then which non main event match has the best chance to steal wrestle dream.

30:06 Man that's a good I'm real I mean the bucks and against night and Fletcher can steal the show because that's not really the greatest tag team of the last 20 years and to the best in ring competitors going on and I'm really really going to see how well this night Fletcher thing last so that would be up there honestly I think on draw day champa is probably the most underrated match on the show considering you know box last opponent was on draw day champa is one of the best wrestlers around one of our favorites on the day. So that's what brought us become like kind of like just a main event level guy in eight of you like doesn't have a bad match so that match itself might steal the show.

30:50 Yeah, this is an NXT take a remain event match on an AW show it's like watching NXT in what 2017 18 19 so they'll probably and they'll probably get 25 30 minutes so they're going to go all out on this thing.
