0:41 So, what I was gonna ask you this last week? By the way, Happy Halloween's Eve to you, which that makes it so it's all hollows Eve Eve? Now this is when kids throw exit people or something, right? And hollows Eve? I have to tell you a story about that one point too, but I was gonna ask you last week, I forgot to do it. What is Luke going as? Cause this is his second Halloween. Yeah. But his first one upright, basically. So, what did you in Mrs. Pack decide that Luke was going to be for Halloween this year? Luke is a, like one of the first words my son ever said was poo as in Winnie the Pooh.

1:27 So, he will be Winnie the Pooh. This was like decided upon like over the summer. Like my wife bought the costume like in July. And I was... And just projected the size, like okay he should be about this size by then. You're lips to God's ears. I mean that is what I was like, are we sure this is a good idea? And we put it on him for the first time for some community event over the weekend last weekend. And it was, there was a couple buttons at first. I was like, oh God no. But he fed in it and all is well. So he will be Winnie the Pooh on Halloween night. So it'll be the first time we've actually like, we're gonna hit a couple spots, stuff like that.

2:10 Last year was just mainly family. But yeah this will be the first real first Halloween. Is it trunker treats in the Connecticut area or are there still neighborhood that give out candy? There are trunker treats. There's a lot of them. It's funny you bring this up because this is gonna be like, we're gonna sound old. Or at least I'm gonna sound old depending on where you sit on this. But yeah, I mean when I was growing up I'm sure for you as well. Like you went out to apartment complexes, condo complexes. You know places that were near to one another or whatever and you have ransacked them from place number one to place number 200. And you filled your bags up with your pillowcases up with candy or you went to your friends houses and saw the parents, family members, what have you.

2:54 But it was like a thing to get as much as possible in the last years. Yeah I feel like it's all completely gone away. Dr. Tray, a lot of trunker treats, a lot of community events, a lot of folks going to like center of towns. To have a safer Halloween. It's odd. I got to admit. Yeah it takes, for me that was always the joy in the mystery of the knock on the door. Like there was a little bit of, and I started appreciating it especially because with my range of children having, you know, having Sammy at six but having Carmen at 17 soon to be 18. I've been doing this now with kids for 17 years and then I remember my years growing up.

3:38 And yeah it was like that anticipation of not only a what are you going to get when the door opens but be what is going to open the door. Is it going to be a person in a regular outfit? Are they going to be like to, like all of that stuff was part of the joy. And now it's like you roll through you like you're, you know, your church trunker treats or your neighborhood trunker treats or things like that is like they always have a theme or the, or the vehicle has a theme. And it's like all right it's a little bit of a let that we actually have one really good neighborhood in the next town up for me that they go all out and it's an entire community.

4:19 Like it's, I don't want to say subdivision because that implies like newer housing development. This is an old school neighborhood. And for like three or four blocks easily. Everybody goes all out. But the problem is it's an old neighborhood so the roads are very, very narrow. So once you get in, you can't leave when you're done. You kind of have to wait for everybody else to start leaving also. So that's why we do it like every couple of years. But yeah, like that's like we went to we did a couple of community events this past weekend and then we have a couple of things we're doing tomorrow night. But it's like, yeah, like it's just the joy of the knock, the joy of what's on the other side. The joy of like is this person even home? Like, you know, like that was part of the mystery and the fun of Halloween.

5:06 And I think in some aspects, safety I get, but you know, it was great back in the day when you were like nine, 10, 11 years old. And there was like three or four of you guys in the neighborhood that lived together and you guys would all go out together. And you know, that was the fun. And now it's like mom and dad got to be there. We got to go along with you. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. It's Jack Black in the movie, I don't really, but yeah just a guy in a blue shirt with blue pants and a goatee and I'm like yeah that's not nearly as fun as some of the other stuff so this year we're kind of playing it low-key with everything else going on but I never by the way I you know all the years of trick or treating for I'm I turn 48 in May I don't know a single person who had an LSD trip from a piece of Halloween candy and I'm a little disappointed in that. Put that on on Facebook like hey please comment below if you've had an LSD trip accidentally on from Halloween candy when you were a child. Yeah you know it's just like anything right the older we get the more we're shouting at clouds get off my lawn that type of stuff things have definitely changed I think there's probably a swath of people that's safe for the better but that was all about being like a kid and that's what I enjoyed doing Halloween and I'm looking forward to tomorrow night it's it's the the first time we really get to experience Halloween with our summer we're gonna go we're gonna try to go to some houses and because he could walk and we'll see how he does I'm sure he's gonna be very you know shy about it but we'll have some fun so I would say I enjoy Halloween yeah Dr. Troy I will say I will say one of the one of the good things about Facebook is those community pages where like in our in a couple of towns that I run that I'm in those groups on parents will ask like hey what neighborhoods are good for

8:58 trick or treating and people will list out all those neighborhoods so if you want that experience I mean you you know check out your local Facebook pages for that stuff because like I there's about six or seven neighborhoods that've been listed I feel like there is a generation of parents like in our age range that kind of want to bring that back and are kind of wanting you know getting their neighbors involved and said hey if we just have one like a community block party and do it for Halloween we'll get people coming out here and that's the joy of Halloween and then we can control the safety aspect because we know everybody on the street so there I think there is a kind of a push to kind of bring that back here at some point yeah it it's it's funny how we kind of like refer back to things that were old-fashioned or timeless now in many aspects of life and we get back to that we'll we'll have to see how it goes all tomorrow night and looking forward to it my my wife and I like she bought a 160 piece bag of candy and I'm like what are we what are we doing like we're not gonna be home and she said we'll leave a bullet candy out for the kids I'm like that is a really bad idea why is that I was like because if I was that kid I would dump like three quarters of the bag into my my bag and then leave you know that and it's supposed to like as we record this I don't know if you got this in Alabama recently dr. Troy but I'm getting

10:29 the remnants of this hurricane that struck Jamaica a couple days ago like it is downpouring here and it's supposed to downpour tomorrow night as well for on Halloween we had it the last four days which is crazy because we're in the process this move we were excited because I'm like man you know we do not get a single drop of rain the entire month of October last year and even our weatherman's like yeah your October is the driest month of the year in Alabama so we're like yes we find you know we got the fire pits up and going to kind of burn some of the stuff that we're getting rid of and that it is like since last Thursday it's rained five of the last seven days wow yeah that this and more on weathercast with Dr. Tray and Jeff Heck on patreon.com/srtupodcast so yeah enjoy Halloween we're enjoying it still going out there with our kids mine a little bit younger than Dr. Tray so these are the the moments that I do feel like is a parent doctorate that I have to like soak in a little bit and just kind of really enjoy because there's only so many of these right like you experienced it already with your daughter but like with your son like there is like maybe let's say 12 to 13 of these that like your child is gonna want to go with you on Halloween and then after that it kind of like slowly dissipates or maybe they go with their friends or maybe they don't go out at all or they you know they get older and they have parties go out to bars what have you but like I'm gonna try to like really enjoy this because when you really think about it's like 10 to 12 of these you really got as a parent yeah the upside is

12:03 if you and the wife decide to have a sibling for Luke it actually extends in a little bit because like my 19 year old when he was about 12 or 13 stop dressing up and then the last three or four years with Sammy getting older and actually be able and they're and they're kind of in the same things like they both love the Jurassic Park dinosaur stuff they're both kind of gamers and a lot of this little little brother wanted to emulate big brother but now Peyton doesn't get as embarrassed to dress up for Halloween because Sammy's into it and he's just acting more like you know big brother uncle slash mode so he really enjoys it but I will say Jeff remember you're in your 30s if you're taking him out to actually go to an order where comfortable shoes oh yes yes I can't I can't go out there with my back and stuff like that so yeah next shall be the 4-0 so this is one of those last ones as well while I can still have mobility with my hips my knees back would have you all right so happy Halloween all enjoy it with your families if you if you got kid enjoy that that night and let's get into professional wrestling talk doctor train one of the big stories right now has been the choice of the Saturday nights main event World Heavyweight Championship match between CM Punk and J.U. so there's a lot of scuttle butt online of some of most disliked videos and WWE's YouTube this year were all like J.U. so videos was like top five or were J.U. so videos I don't understand let me first off by

13:37 preface is by saying I don't understand the J.U. so hey I do not dislike J.U. so whatsoever has the like luster of him kind of fallen off a bit since earlier this year absolutely I think good in-ring worker amazing entrance fantastic charisma connects with the fan like very few do Mike skills have been like oddly a poor not the best it's it shocking because when you look at some of those usopanitentiary promos they were amazing like J.U. so was never known as somebody that has been like a guy that's not give you good quality promos and there's times that that he kind of stumbles in these things which makes you wonder if they're like a lack of confidence personally that he has in his delivery or this character that he's portraying is not something that maybe he's fully into nonetheless there's this this like right now for like J.U. so stuff and Alan I comes out Monday night raw he has the match with brawmbreaker which he ends up losing and he's holding a sign as he's coming out there that says we want LA night not J or something along those terms which was like kind of going off of the the stuff online which is a very small majority of wrestling fans quite honestly is the online stuff and he was playing in that which I was surprised but the more I've seen LA night over the last month and a half two months is you know

15:09 there's a lot of a pair of comparisons to Steve Austin rock just the way that he carries himself coming to the ring cuts promos what have you it's an attitude error type character in 2025 he's heavily influenced by guys like that and I get it he should be those are phenomenal wrestlers nonetheless I do think that there's comparisons of like rock in end of summer 1998 towards end of the year 1998 with LA night right now when they ended up putting the championship on him that it just feels like we're on the precipice that in 2026 LA night is due for some sort of world championship run it there's a lot of discussion in that in his promo is he's pointing out never how the world title never heard the world world title never how the world title blah blah blah blah and maybe he's doing that to get the fans behind him if there's no real creative plans at the moment so I ask you this doctor tray I I think CM Punk should be in this match hands down no question about it J so in there is one that can be debated do you think WWE is missing the boat with not putting LA night into this match at Saturday's been about this Saturday and having him an opportunity to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship now because I think if you are going to put the belt on him you want it on a big stage because once he becomes your champion he does become a focal point of your of your company now he checks all the boxes for being a world champion he's a he's a very handsome man he's really good on the microphone he looks to part you have ever part of being

16:39 world champion is like doing the rounds doing the interviews doing all the the Cody Rhodes John Cena stuff that they've done so well for years if you're gonna do it crown it on an in a in a in a spot that a is gonna have much more viewership so the ESPN platform has more viewers than the peacock platform I say if you're gonna if you are planning on making that move save it for that big stage that way you can make your next breakout you know your next big star like right now he's on the cusp of breaking through and I I I would say like if you know J. O's there then he's like like a slight notch below him and it really is only because of the one world title run J's had that separates them but if you're gonna make that move save it for the big stage save it for the big moment much like you did with J last year WrestleMania just you know I'm not saying do it at WrestleMania but save it for a rumble you know the Royal Rumble or save it for a big stage not Saturday's main event when you're gonna make that move yeah I can understand that right like saving it for another thing it makes sense I'm just worried that when you because raw brand is so wide open right now are they and I think this way as well and we'll talk about this in in in the next thing I want to bring up in regards to the Smackdown brand you know longer title reigns I'm here for like I love it like reigns was a great title reign Cody Rhodes is at a long title

18:10 reign like intermittently basically now with John Cena Cody Rhodes held the championship for almost you know two you know a year and a half two years out of the last two years well long title reigns are great and helps establish some of the top stars in the business it does kind of hurt other wrestlers from ever reaching that pinnacle and it's a bunch of what ifs and I think we're at a what if point right now with LA night and I'm worried that the focus is going to be in 2026 you know say punk wins and punk goes into the New Year's World of Way champion I think that is to eventually set up a match with Braun Breaker and once that match happens I would imagine the torch is past a Braun Breaker and then Braun Breaker is holding that championship to eventually feud with Seth Rollins and now we're at like let's say the six to eight month mark June July August in 2026 and LA night is not holding a World of Way championship you can't switch them back over to Smackdown and and I don't know he wrestles Cody Cody drops the championship what do you do with Cody it's there's a little bit of a problem there like I think they need to capitalize on this right now and I think there's a groundswell for LA night and it just I'm shocked they didn't end up just going into a triple threat match I know that they were kind of booked poorly into this but the same show where they they put the vision that they you know the vision turned on Seth Rollins they still ran that triple threat match like there was an

19:41 out there and that match probably should have been the Saturday nights main event match rather than raw from two three weeks ago when Seth Rollins was you know permanently put on the shelf creatively I just feel like WWE is ultimately missing the boat with LA night and I don't know where the window is right now for him to become World of Way champion yeah but go back a couple years remember when LA night challenged Roman Reigns and LA night was literally still the hottest thing in the company and they didn't pull the trigger then and that was two and a half years ago and he's still there not everybody needs the championship to stay hot and stay on top now yes there is the J. Uso factor of like well look if we let this linger too on you know are the fans going to turn against him but LA night I think is capable of like if that's the case and you pull the trigger you can flip him heel one of the things we talked about last week show is just a lack of depth on the heel side I think one of these three guys is going to turn maybe not join with the vision but you got it kind of equal out like your baby faces in your heels I like this the raw brand kind of being I don't say the hot potato world title area and smack down be the long rain one but this is that's what it was back you know in the mid 2000's 2010 2000 you know about what 2006 about 2015 was you smack down to you know check your guys and see if they could be a world

21:13 champion before you move them to raw you know a lot of those guys got their first world title wins on the Smackdown brand and then had the better careers when they got to raw it could be almost the inverse of that now we're like right now I mean that world title has only been around three years and well four years nothing now and how many people have held that belt in the time that the other shows only had two like we're like seven eight different world champions at that point or world title runs I mean it's okay to not pull the trigger right now because you can build the anticipation a little bit longer to get to the big match you know if he's headlining Royal Rumble in a world title match and he wins and he has a pneumonia on the raw brand as your world champion that's a good that's a good spot to be in so because the flip side is if he wins it now do you take the belt off of them in two months to get to whatever you're perceived Royal Rumble or what WrestleMania world title matches going to be and then he's looked at it as a disappointing world champion so it's you kind of kind of balance it out of them and like what's your what's your plan for LA night in the next two years three years and do you want to put the belt on them now to take it off of them to get to punk and break or WrestleMania if that's where you want to go with it or do we do something else so it's it's a precarious situation to be in but I still think if you're gonna if you're playing on making night a champion and giving him a four five six month long solid run

22:43 you still pull the trigger at a bigger stage we'll preview a Saturday and event here in just a moment switching gears to the blue brand doctor Trey the who took out Jacob Fattu storyline right now is playing on this Mac down brand it wasn't as prevalent as the week prior when they set the wheels in motion for that with Cody and Drew Brawling and taking out Jacob Fattu it was you know spread out a little bit and it certainly feels like there's gonna be some sort of payoff here at some point because your Mac at tires claiming he is not the person responsible for taking out Jacob Fattu so I ask you do you think this storyline is going to lead to a huge payoff on Smackdown could we see some sort of shake up creatively on Smackdown could it be Cody Rhodes was responsible I threw it out there threw that out there on last week's show could he potentially be turning he'll especially drew saying he's not responsible we know kit Wilson of pretty deadly witnessed it because he's in the background and I'm surprised they didn't capitalize on that this past week's edition of Smackdown but nonetheless is there going to be some sort of huge payoff do you anticipate a huge payoff or was this just a way to write off fought to so that it could be on the sidelines because he's having some sort of dental work done no I think there's a payoff because for all the occasions they're looking at Jacob Fattu in a lot of the ways that they look at Braun break like this is a future you know main event top star

24:14 level guy like he's incredible in the ring he's good on the mic he just he looks you know crazy so it's like yeah this is a way to kind of build him up to make him a bigger star and then just kind of becomes a question of like who do you have be the culprit and obviously you and I are old if we don't want it to be the Kishi factor where it's like damn that's kind of a letdown as to who took him out and the reasoning is kind of a letdown like you you're hoping that that's the pay off it's great as soon as you mentioned kit Wilson though I immediately thought of Paul London before Vincent's limo blew up like you just want it to be a good pay off in the end and you go man remember that angle because that's what helped make Jacob a star I don't as much as I'd like to see the Cody heel turn it doesn't make much sense right now because he doesn't really outside of Drew they haven't really established a threat on Smackdown to kind of make it make sense for him to turn heels so it's it's it's the lack of heels right now in WWE's kinds of hurt and both of these storylines that we've been talking about yeah it's it's a strange time in WWE I can't tell if they are like on a good path like there's some good foundation work building I feel like we're starting to see a little bit of the build towards Ross many season oddly enough or if they're scrambling a little bit and trying to see what what what hits right now dr. 25:48 know like right now like if you're looking for like hey who's the next guy that we haven't really rushed like if you've gone back otherwise I would say Carmelo Hayes but they just turned Carmelo Hayes baby face you know Alistair Blacks tied up in this feud with Damien Priest so that's that's two guys that are kind of taking out the picture right now it's like they they in the MFT's and Sello Sikou are kind of tied up with the Yets so that kind of takes them out of the picture you know maybe it comes out that it was solo in the MFT's and that's how you end up getting you know Jacob back in time for war games to to group him in with the Yets because that be a really fun match it's just a question of like do we know how to book heels that don't need stables like is it is triple H kind of falling into his you know I would say his habits but that's what he how he was kind of bred up whether it was DX or you know the McImman Helmsley the corporation or whether it was evolution or you know is is that what he's kind of leaning into or you know can we just book a guy to be the ultimate bad guy I mean Drew's a good example of how to do it but we just don't have anybody else right now and that's kind of what's hurting the brand is you don't have anybody you actually really root against on on either show outside of maybe Drew McIntyre yeah it's very odd time creatively for for both the major brands there in W&A W like as we sit here today October 30th I've no idea and maybe W&B Creative doesn't either they have a working plan as to how survivor series war games is

27:22 gonna take place the war game matches for the men and the women there's an idea for the men the vision would obviously be I would be shocked if they're not on one team part of me is like I wonder if they would do MFTs versus the Y at 6th at this point because that's yeah a storyline is that's grabbing a hold over on on the Smackdown brand is like kind of salvaging it and then on the women's side it's like I have no idea which way this is potentially going right now I think it's going to involve EO Sky real Ripley Oscar and Kyrie Sain in some way but I don't I don't know and same could be said on the AW side look at it a similar match blood and guts they just announced the men's blood and guts match on last night's dynamite the women's match was the challenge was put out there like three to four weeks ago I think a collision and we've had zero follow up whatsoever to that and that matches like less than two weeks away it's just very odd creative timing right now for both of the major or major organizations in the United States doctor try well if you look at it and you know growing up in the or being in this business for now 14 years like I'm always a big part of like you got to have strong eels to make strong baby faces and if you look at wrestling as a hole right now who's the top villain in wrestling MJF's not on TV right now he's filming movies and stuff Seth is out if you take Drew McIntyre how the equation who's the actual bad guy in pro wrestling Don Callis is that the top bad guy in professional wrestling right now like outside that I I I'll

28:56 black so you know a heel but he's kind of that was a co-opted the carry and cross scarlet thing but they kind of have is it solo because it kind of feels like he's in the mid-card area right now like there's not really that top bad guy out there so that's why I keep expecting one of these top three or four baby faces is going to flip Gunther was getting cheered before he went off TV and he's probably due back here pretty soon to lead into the John Cena match but even that he was getting cheered and because people love watching him chop people so there's just not that top bad guy to really infuriate people to really cheer on the good guys hard us we're getting so many good guy good guy matches or the good guy just turned bad out of nowhere because he felt disrespected by the by the champ so it's just it's a weird time and wrestling and maybe it's Christmas and nobody wants to be a bad guy and get cold I don't know.

29:54 Holliday C'sa can make for some really great stuff on television from wrestling companies and it could also make it like really odd as well and right now it's there's there's hope I will say but there's just some odd booking that's taking place. Let's get into Saturday Night's Main event look at the look at this Saturday from the Delta Center in St. Louis, excuse me Salt Lake City Utah Dr. Trey we've got CM Punk taking on J.U. so for the vacant World of Away Championship who should lead my question for you is who should lead the raw brand as champion coming out Saturday Night's Main event. I'm gonna go with Punk I think he needs it he got his world title whenever Gunther and they got cashed in on so he only got to fight with the the Drew McIntyre World Championship treatment on it and honestly I it sounds weird because I feel like he's earned it. You know I have not heard anybody say anything negative really about CM Punk backstage since he came back to WWE almost three years ago. Everybody's like Natalia's bragging about him coming down to the P you know coming down the PC and everybody's like what a great guy was people like superstars at Dodge I think it was like very darsow just said an interview when at the Hall of Fame how CM Punk came up to him and he was like oh god I've heard horrible things and was like the nicest most complimentary person in the world to him I'm like yeah I kind of feel like Punk's earned this because he's just been on his best behavior for the last three

Cody Rhodes defends the unspeakable WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre Dr. Dre I simply ask you this how can you not put the title on Drew after so many times he has missed in this situation because they didn't do it with Kevin Owens I guess I mean how many shots did K.O. have? His Roman and everything else and they never pulled a trigger on it and like I was saying by LA Knight some guys you want them to have the belt but they don't need the belt like Drew is just everybody respects Drew I mean as far as fans you might boo him because his character but if he turned baby face tomorrow we'd be on board because he's just one of the most entertaining pro wrestlers on the planet I'm sure he wants it because it is a level of respect and validation but I mean this is like his sixth shot at the belt or and it really good like last three years like his ninth shot the belt and he's one once so he kind of does deserve it as well but he doesn't need it and Cody is your QB1 so unless you're gonna pull the trigger and come back with Drew and Cody at WrestleMania and Cody's on his finish the story on his third book I don't

34:31 Dom kind of regain it back at some point because I think we're done's had a good icy title run but they love putting belts on new guys for validation and Penta's been a copy now about nine months hasn't held a title yet so I think now be a good time to go have pull the trigger and put the belt on Penta WWE Saturday night's main event is this Saturday night on peacock peacock back on peacock I can't wait to not be able to go back and watch the show properly speaking of shows around peacocked up to three NXT Halloween havoc was this past Saturday from the Finley Toyota Center in Prescott Valley Arizona let me be preface by saying I thought this was a very solid show on Saturday night I really enjoyed it some quick thoughts here on each match doctor tray that I will throw it over to you Giovanni Evans and Leon Slater defeated Mr. Guana LaParca I thought it was a train wreck match just set up Evans and Slaters and ex-changes for Dark State not a match I enjoyed Blake Monroe defeating Zarya to win the NXT North women's women's North American Championship the Soul Rooka Zarya story has been really been bubbling up with an ice slow burn in recent months in the pay off looks to be coming soon what could be a huge story in early 2026 for the NXT brand reminds me a lot of like Gargano and Champa I love deep seated friendship storylines that where they eventually turn on one another and that is as the possibility being really good one similar to somebody else that we'll talk about here in just a couple matches Ethan Page defeated L.H.O. Delta day Dr. Wagner Jr. and the day of dead match for the NXT North American

36:02 Championship to retain it but the match was really good and under the radar addition for the card Ethan Page is North American title run has been better than his NXT Championship run and it looks like he could translate on raw or smack that at some point and there was a period time I was like I don't know he's got to just kind of glass ceiling on NXT from a WWE viewpoint dark state defeated the Hardy boys in a broken rules match so we retain or win again the NXT tag team championship huge win for Dark State in a fun match though I wish all four members of Dark State did not get involved that could help cement them as a team after feeding the legends I would say that the hardies didn't get a longer on with the NXT tag titles. Tane and Paxley defeated JC J into when the NXT women's championship she has the potential to be a huge baby face on the NXT brand it could be on the midst of a breakout I think similar to Soul Rooka and Zarya Tane and Paxley and Izzy Dame feud will probably be bubbling up here soon that will be really entertaining because Izzy Dame is extremely talented as his Tane and Paxley props to Tane and for hanging in there the repair time I'm sure it was a looking good for her career and here she is now as NXT women's champion and then lastly Ricky Saints defeated trick Williams retain the NXT championship they need to give Saints a better finisher than the off the rope tornado DDT against big men like what are we doing I mean I talked about it last month when these feet of open family it did not have the same impact so there was some of my thoughts on NXT Halloween havoced out of tray over your thoughts and take away from the show this past Saturday. Yeah I'm gonna go to reverse while I see the Javan Evans or the Slater Evans Aguata Parker match.

37:40 Parker La Parker I mean I can see him being on Raw or SmackDown because his entrance is fantastic and he's super entertaining and I don't know if Mr. Guwano will ever reach that level because I mean was he like basically like lizard soko I mean that match that was awful and I like Javan Evans I like Leon Slayer but once again like Slater's on a TNA contract it's weird to have them now be a tag team on NXT for Garth State because that guy is going to be on TNA and he's still the exhibition champion over there so just a bad match just in the styles in mesh up and I know they were trying to go for a high spot tag match and it just turned it was just awful. The Blakelander of Zarya stuff is interesting because I actually felt like it was a competitive match and you and I had talked about Zarya just laying down for Blake and we didn't get that so I still think Zarya ends up aligned with Blake Monroe at some point and that's where the Saul Rook and stuff comes in but with Blake Monroe having the big fanfare coming in and now being NXT Women's Champion or North America Women's Champion I kind of feel like there's a path for the AEW or TNA people to kind of follow is like hey we do this and then you get to here and then we move you up because we've seen it with Ricky Saints we've seen it with Ethan Page just now in reverse order the page Wagner match was really really good I love the pairing of page and Chelsea Green also this like Canadian alliance and everything I can see Ethan Page

39:11 eventually taking the Miz is where the Miz is on the main roster. Miz is kind of winding things down Ethan Page can fill that role and be a top mid card borderline made of that guy Paxley and JC Jane I love that for Dan and Paxley she's been like my one my under the radar favorite people it's like watching if Page and Daphne had a baby like that's where Tatum Paxley falls in like she just her range of character and a range of where she can go with stuff is so well done and like she's an underdog baby face and she's a crazy heal like that's the best of both horses kind of like Alexa Bliss in some ways as well like those just smaller creepy crazy chicks are dynamite and then Saints and trick trick Williams should be a main event like it should be a top roster guy main or main level roster guy he's just got to get better in the ring everything else about him is a plus and then he's like a C in the ring and Ricky Saints I don't know what you do with Ricky Saints because I feel like sometimes he's a little bit almost he's Johnny Gargano size and we've seen Gargano struggle the main roster he's got a little more charisma a little more flair but dear God I that is the worst finisher of any top guy and we used to complain about the trick shot being bad but a tornado DDT which most luchadors will use in the first three

40:43 minutes of a match is this guy's finishers like we couldn't think of anything better like just let him keep the spear like everybody else has a spear and they finished matches with that J's using it for crying out loud it's kind of like when you see a guy all of a sudden go and do a super kick for a finisher now you're like it's been bastardized to death that it doesn't seem believable when it ends a match and you just kind of think was that supposed to be the finisher we screw up so that was kind of overall I'll say how and have it solid card solid show but there are some things that we definitely need to work on with that brand. Yeah it's they're an interesting time it's always like transitional it feels like for NXT at periods of time and you always I think we're so at least I am I should say I am so regiment that when somebody loses like an oboe famiom like up well that's it they're getting called up finally yeah and then it never happens I'm really enjoying NXT show the show I think it's a really fun brand and it's kind of refound its identity over the last several years but yeah I don't know I don't know it's it's interesting I feel like Ricky Saints is in the same spot Ethan Page was a couple months ago when he was NXT champion or even longer now I should say for Ethan Page were like a year ago I think it was where it was like I don't know if Ethan Page is gonna work out in WWE I kind of have those thoughts right now with Ricky Saints and it's it's similar and now I absolutely really think Ethan Page will translate well on

42:16 Rons back to that but I'm with you it's like Ricky Saints given a spirit of trick Williams like it shouldn't be laying him out like it just doesn't look well and and I'm a big fan of trick I like the aggressiveness with his character over the last six months I liked the segments from Starks and or Saints and trick Williams on on Tuesday's NXT although those were really good and show that they really don't like each other but yeah there's some there's some room for improvement there I would say Dr. Try. Yeah I think NXT and we've seen this we Zama Braun Breaker we see some other people were like okay they're really good in this role let's see how much flexibility they have let's try them on the other side and let's see if that works in that plays and a lot of times it's like okay we're seeing like you know trick we've seen strong baby face strong heel you know we haven't seen we didn't really see Ethan Page play the baby face side by I think they just look I'm gonna you you have that face that moms want a punch so you're just typecast as a heel but they do I mean we see what's hate impacts Lee we're seeing it was Zarya now whereas kind of like let's play let's start to play both sides in that way we kind of know when you come the main roster we know where we can kind of put you at we've seen with Fallen Henley found was a was a really was a decent good bait like in the Mickey James mold a baby face and we've seen her with fatal influence like okay she can play that narcissistic heel so I

43:46 think that's where like you guys like us now we remember the old black and gold we're like okay that guy lost and he was a champ for a while he's getting moved up and now we've kind of seen it over the last you know a couple of years is like they get a good run they get a good push they hit the top of the mountain they lose let's reset it back and see if you can do it again on the other side of defense and see if it works because then we know you're a well-rounded character or well-rounded individual and we can use you fresh on the main roster in any of these roles and so I think on one hand it gets frustrating if you're following it like you would a normal wrestling show but as much as they don't want to say it's developmental it is developmental so like we're trying stuff out and we're seeing what kind of range some of you folks have going back to an earlier point that I had where it was like I kind of feel like the confidence in J. U. so when he's cut in promos isn't there right now I felt the same way about Ethan Page when he was NXT champion and I kind of feel that I feel like he's found his confidence now but I also feel that way presently with Ricky Sains like I'm getting the vibe that he's not as confident in himself and his characters he's been when he's like an AW in top of the world there yeah I think it's the the the differences with Jay I think Jay's issue is when Jay was you brought a good point earlier with the Usos when you're vibing with your brother and you can fire off stuff off top of your head rapidly it's fine but when you're when you're the focal point you've got usually have to slow down your speech a little bit and I

45:16 think Jay's brain runs really fast and then he gets caught up with what he actually wants to say and that's why he cuts doubles I think Ricky's issue is Ricky's never been a baby face like even even when he was an AW he was still like that really super cocky and it's it's hard to be a baby face and actually believe that the people are cheering you because of you and not because of how much they hate the other guy so it's always really tricky until you go nope I've got this and Ricky's really with the baby face stuff it's just been Ethan Page and Trick Williams you know those of the two guys he's really worked off of and those guys are phenomenal eels so he might be struggling with are people really cheering me because they like me or they cheering me because they've hated these other guys so much that they cheer me because of them and that's where that lack of confidence can kind of come into play when you're a baby face last let's switch gears here to all elite wrestling doctor tre I think it was on a recent episode of collision I don't think it was the most recent one a few week prior Kylo Riley and John Moxley have a match and I just felt like okay this is the match that's gonna be with John Moxley where he got to get back on the winning path you know Kylo Riley from R.O.H. Champion at one time looked like he was gonna be the face of the NXT brand he was he was really kind of climbing the the ladder there in WWE and then triple H was gone and then Vince was taking

46:47 over and Kylo left and went to AW and you know Kylo is just kind of like been meddling in the mid card for the most part on AW for this entire time like doing Paragon doing undisputed elite then doing what was they what were they the kingdom the undisputed kingdom then he's been doing the conglomeration so just figure out this is gonna be a good probably good solid match Moxley will win get back on the winning ways coming off the match with Darby Allen at wrestle dream and then the like Kylo is getting a ton of offense in and it leads to John Moxley looking like he's about to tap out and he takes out the referee to get a disqualification Kylo Riley wins that way they have a follow-up match this past Wednesday night last night on dynamite and it's another competitive match where Kylo is holding his own with one of the most if not the most top AW wrestlers ever like I don't know if there's anybody even close to Moxley and how important he has been to the NXT roster are actually the AW roster like probably the most impactful top AW star since its inception and that match goes to a double disqualification on the outside where Kylo has him in a choke hold again and is you know Moxley looks like he's on the verge of passing out what is what do you take from like Kylo Riley being booked very strong against John Moxley here and

48:20 back-to-back matches because this is this is pretty interesting do what do you think is the payoff is their payoff are they just making Kylo look strong towards the blood and guts match taking place in two weeks it is gonna be involved with I've been really shocked by this pleasantly surprised happy for Kylo Riley but you can't sit here and say oh I saw this coming because this has been completely like out of nowhere the Kylo Riley is being booked very strong against John Moxley not to try yeah it's your answer to your question is yes it's it's a little bit of all those things and then also the fact that Kyle's healthy again I mean he was out for over a year with that last injury had so I think a little bit is like hey Kyle's back he's strong he's not hurt people it's a reminder of how strong the end of that NXT run was when people were cheering for Kyle against you know Adam Cole and everybody else before everybody left the company and in your eye like he's kind of never really found a home because you know we expected you know him and Bobby fish to kind of be the the anchors of the tag team division then fish left and it kind of became Kyle and Roderick by default with Adam Cole and then Cole goes out it's like oh crap we need another strong singles guy so I think it's respect to Kyle for everything he's done and wrestling over the last you know 15 years and then also you need strong bait if you're using you know the deathwriters in blood and guts you know Mox is like the top guy and

49:54 really even though Darby just got a win over him I don't know if people put him on that same respect level so you need to kind of build the other team up really really strong just to counteract the John Moxley leverage in that match so I think it's kind of positioning in respect for for Kyle to kind of make this blood and guts match good and then everything he's done for the last you know 15 years yet does this feel like this is Moxley like paying respect to Kyle like Kyle O'Reilly is no slouch I mean he has been a prominent figure in professional wrestling for the last 16 17 years like when I was going R08 shows in 2009 Kyle started getting on the scene there teaming with Adam Cole doing that I forget what their tag team was named back then but then he was it wasn't the red dragon no that was with Bobby fish okay it was I'll look it up there in just a second but he he was with Davey Richards for a while he got to run his R.O.H. World Champion like but he's just kind of been like this meddling not even upper mid-card there's just been kind of like a mid-card the best you know he made it was upper mid-card nearly in or you can make the case for the main event several times in NXT but I'm like I'm watching these matches and Moxley does not do this for anyone it's it's very few and far between and I just hope that they are making Kyle O'Reilly star that there is a simply a payoff to this not to try and I also

51:25 hope it's not as a favor to Adam Cole Adam being out like you know we've seen that before like we saw a Christian Christians a prime example like Edges World Champion Christians not on his level Eddry tires all of a sudden let's let's move his partner up we saw it even I hate to say but even with you know Eddie Garan Chavo and after Eddie passed away we abandoned the Kerwin white gimmick and they gave Chavo run as ECW World Champion as a favor you know or to pay respect to the other person I really hope this is just AW and Moxley recognizing the talent of Kyle O'Reilly I mean if you want a fantastic match to watch go back and watch that Fletcher O'Reilly match from a couple months ago or about a month and a half two months ago I think that's kind of what re-introduced the AEW audience to how good Kyle O'Reilly is and maybe it gave Mox a little bit of leverage to say hey let's do blood and guts with the conglomeration and tie all these people in together and let's build Kyle up because Kyle's a he's a main event in ring talent now promo work hasn't always been the best I think it's much better now than it was five ten years ago but Kyle O'Reilly is a guy that you can actually put in the upper mid-car lower main event picture and it be credible because of how damn good he is in the ring yeah no I'm happy for Kyle and I really hope it it does pay off to something here and that's always the thing with
