This is your WWE elimination chamber, Recap and review edition of S-R-T-U. 0:45 Do you think that they listened to us ever since Vince retired? Because the two things we were not allowed to talk about have now happened in the last couple of years. So, somebody stealing ideas from us, Jeff. I don't know who it is, but, I mean, you literally, at one point in the last couple of weeks, told me, I could not talk about this because there's the rule that we cannot talk about it. But it happened, so I guess we have to lift that rule now as well. Yes, we will have to lift the rule. We will get to the rule, and it's funny that you said that, because I went back and I listened to Last Week Show, and I thought it was said during Last Week Show, and it wasn't.

1:28 I could have sworn we talked about it during the recap, or, excuse me, the pre-review predictions part, and it wasn't. So, that must have been like two, three years ago that we talked about, two, three weeks ago that we talked about that. I wonder if it was right after the humble, because I knew we talked about it. That, or that might have been that little bit of conversation since we had off-air after the show ended. Okay, so maybe it happened off-air? Yeah. Okay, because I immediately dismissed it. Because I know I had mentioned it back with the whole, when Jay won the rumble, I had kind of mentioned it. And then I think Last Week Off-air, I had asked you, we have made our predictions if we switched Jay and Cena.

2:16 So, I listened to this part. Yes, I listened to that part literally about 20 minutes before we sat down on record. And we only talked about Jay. We did not talk about the person we cannot talk about. I'm pretty sure we have. Even though you kind of talked about it. I know we did. But I think you're right. I think it may have been off-air now. Yeah, because I think, because I think we're trying to lay out the logistics of how it could happen. I think we got done recording last week's show and talked about it off-air. I don't think that this was a conversation that made it during the February shows.

2:56 Which makes me so mad because every now and then we hit something dead on. And I'm like, "Oh, it's on the tape somewhere." But then we, yeah, we just, we were rambling. My plan was to pull that audio and play it on the show. And then I listened back. I was like, "Man, this would have been the part that we talked about it." And I don't think we talked about it anywhere else in that episode because we did the awards. Maybe it was in the roundup? Maybe? I'll have to go back and listen to it because now you got to meet curious. Because I know we, I'm pretty sure we mentioned it on air because I remember you saying we can't talk about this. I think it was during the roundup. Now that we say it.

3:37 It might have been. Yeah, I'll have to go back and try to listen there. But anyway, what are we talking about? Stay tuned. WWE of the Nation Chamber recap and review this past Saturday from the Roger Center in Toronto, Ontario. Canada, the first match here was Bianca Belair defeating Liv Morgan, Lexibleis, Bailey Naomi, and Roxanne Perez in an elimination chamber match to win a women's world championship match at WrestleMania 41. You and I both had Bianca Belair on this one, Dr. Trey. It was a hot start to the show. The Jade Cargill Naomi stuff had the crowd in the palm of their hands. Really good in-ring stuff from all the competitors and an enjoyable match. Bianca again, the win was nice as it's time for her to get back into singles competition after battling in the tag division for what I felt was too long.

4:18 Rhea Bianca at this point in time was perceived to be awesome. Maybe it still happens at Mania. We'll talk about what took place on Monday's Raw here momentarily. But the match itself, Dr. Trey, your thoughts. Did I call this one correctly though? As far as Jade attacking Naomi? Because I thought I called this one too. See, we're getting on. Maybe not. Back in the day, I would be like, yeah, we said that. I, older I get, the less sleep I get, thanks to kids. This is what's happening, brother. You warned me about this. Yeah, I literally was like, I thought I called this, but yeah, like this, the crazy of this match, like I enjoyed the match. I thought the Jade stuff was Jade coming back going after Naomi was fantastic.

4:58 I thought the assault was great. Like, it was brutal. I've never seen somebody slam the sliding door into somebody's head before. And then the rest of the match was pretty good too. Like, I really enjoyed it. I was really excited for Bianca and Jade. The weird thing about me though is Bianca was so inconsolable in herself when the attack was going on. I was like, in reality, Jeff, if you're bet, this is not mind you. This is also a person who literally abandoned a match. Earlier in this year or last year to go check on Jade that she comes out of the pot and she goes right to the match.

5:40 Like, I was like, okay, you're inconsolable while your partner is getting attacked. But now you can focus on the match and win the match. That was my only issue with it. But overall, take that part out of the equation. I enjoyed the elimination chamber for the women. Yeah, it was, it was a really fun one. What do you think? Should we talk about what happened on Rod now or do you want to say it for the roundup? Sure, let's go ahead and talk about now because I was like, what the hell? All right, so let's get into it here. So Monday's RAW, EO Sky, Rear Ripley. I totally felt, and this is going to be like the theme for the show, Dr. Tray, in regards to the creative at WWE right now. I was like, okay, Rear retains, defeats EO and we get reaverses.

6:23 Bianca Belair at WrestleMania. When, that was my initial thought once the match was announced. When I watched the end of elimination chamber and the three of them, you had Rea and Bianca face to face and EO comes out and like, I wonder if they could do triple threat. What I didn't foresee is EO Sky defeating Rear Ripley to win the Women's World Championship. Thanks to like Bianca's semi-involvement cheering on EO Sky. Bianca playing a little bit of a heal, re-appre-completely blowing her WrestleMania chances. And I'm like, this is extremely intriguing now. We've got six weeks. This was not predictable, which is what we want.

7:03 We don't want to always sit here and dislocate our shoulders and pat ourselves on the back like we're very harrow its. We want to be surprised and this surprised me. I still feel like right now my heart of hearts. This is going to be a triple threat match in Las Vegas. I don't know how we get there quite yet. But I think that opens up a door where I'm like, hmm, could they do a Becky Lynch return now with Rear Ripley? Because Becky hasn't been back to the WrestleMania season. All in all, right now EO Sky versus Bianca Belair. EO Sky, our new Women's World Champion will be taking place at WrestleMania. And Rear Ripley, one of the best in the business, is on the outside looking in at the biggest shows of the year. Yeah, I was completely blown away.

7:44 Like you said, like on paper, I'm like, okay, yeah, Rear Bianca. EO is just kind of a filler to get to that match. But when they started hyping up, that Rear had never defeated EO Sky. I was like, well, it's weird they're bringing this up because one was the May Young Classic and that Rear was way different than the Rear we have now. And then the other one was NXT Rear is about to go the main roster. Let's move the belts off or make EO the big star. And EO is doing that weird, cool. And then the EO turned there, they look. But when they said, kept hyping it up, I was like, why are they foreshadowing this so much? Like, why are we playing it? It's like, I don't think anybody right now on paper puts EO on the same level as Rear.

8:28 And that's why I guess I loved it because now you're kind of elevating somebody else into what should be our main event level caliber women. Like I think everybody on paper puts Bianca and Rear on the same level. And now you're putting EO in the mix. Now I saw some people frowning upon it, going back a few years when we wanted Becky and Rhonda and we got Becky and Charlotte instead. We all kind of want Rear and Bianca, but now we're getting Rear and Bianca and EO maybe in WrestleMania. But I love this, the other thing you thought of, this could be Becky Lynch coming back into Battle Rear. And then you still get EO and Bianca. By the way, I loved the last shot on a RAW is Rear on the floor calling herself stupid.

9:15 I immediately got Randy Orton, COVID Kings and Flashbacks from that. Yeah, yeah, no, it's really good. There's some Becky Lynch layers you're all safe for the roundup. All right, let's get to the next match. Tiffany Stratton and Tristratus defeat Nye Jackson, Candace LaRae. We both had Tiffany Stratton in Trish in this one. Basically the purpose of this match was to set up Tiffany Stratton as the baby face heading into WrestleMania by getting the rub from the hometown hall of Famer and Tristratus. The match was fine and I thought it was a big deal and the right move that Tiffany got the pin on Nye and Toronto and not Trish. So I think this was like WWE's gift of giving Tristratus a platform Roger Center hometown girl performing front of your kids and help give the rub to Tiffany Stratton.

9:58 The Trishy and Tiffany time stuff was very awkward and clunky. Like Trish was really helping her out there or like they would do the point, the Tristratus point and then she would like say now point to your wrist and they would both do it. I mean, if Tiffany Stratton is green a little bit in the baby face character standpoint, fine, she's an amazing heal. I don't really think she needs to change much if she does a baby face run there. But to me, that's what the purpose of this match was, Dr. Trayon. And I guess to close out the Nye Jackson canisterly race up because that did get a little bit clunky and awkward when she did cash in and Nye wasn't like Fuminer brains out that Tiffany did then and stabbed her in the back.

10:39 Yeah, like I like the whole we're trying to separate the Tiffany and Charlotte characters a little bit like we try to make sure the baby face you guys don't want that. So she's got to be healed well that we can't do heal heal Trish and Tiffany that kind of gets Tiffany the rub. It is awkward though like I'm watching these two and I'm like it's kind of watching a mother daughter TikTok video. Like it's just it's like okay the mom's trying to be hip and cool and but not really there and the daughter still kind of it's a little weird. But you can kind of see like hey we got to set boundaries and delineate baby face and heal in these matches in WrestleMania which is something I harp upon on the show quite a bit.

11:23 And I think they did a good job. I mean the crowd was you know was into it. They were enjoying it. It does kind of end the Nye run right now. It'll be your season what they do with her at WrestleMania season because she was a champion and she was queen of the ring. You can't just leave her off the show so it's gonna be kind of interesting to see where they fit her in. Do we see Candace and Nia break up you know what but yeah this kind of does close that chapter on that weird Bailey to Nia the Tiffany little storyline we add you know over the summer and fall. And I just want to say before we get to the next one here I was really happy for Candace the Ray. I think Candace the Ray is an phenomenal worker. She has worked her tail off in her entire career and I'm just happy to see her getting this opportunity that she did in Toronto because I think she deserves it.

12:11 So major props to Candace the Ray for getting that shine at the elimination chamber. Next match here was Kevin and Owens defeating Sammy Zayn and an un sanctioned match. I had Sammy Zayn Dr. Trey I had KO Kevin Owens as you point out Dr. Trey. He really needed this win badly as it's been some time since he won a big marking match one of the more violently influenced WWE matches in some time the barbed wire chair that is something we have not seen it wouldn't what feels like 20 years. The rain New York returned made a lot of sense but why did he wait until after the match was over to help Sammy Zayn for receiving a potentially career career altering beat down. I loved the attention of detail in this un sanctioned match as well because the lights were low which was very easy to notice. No ref shirt which they pointed out but what I liked a lot if anybody goes back and notices this the turnbuckles are covered in black so you don't see the WWE logo.

13:05 I really liked the attention of detail in this one. I really enjoyed this match the Randy Orton return did not make sense based on the amount of you know it was un sanctioned no DQ all that stuff. I was the reason why I chose Sammy Zayn and then maybe this is me being better on the prediction was like that's when Randy Orton return that Randy Orton have a come out RKO you know Kevin Owens or distract him right have the music play and Kevin Owens is distracted and that's when Sammy takes advantage and then KO can lay out Sammy Walts like Orton's makin's way out. That could have made sense but I think the reason why none of that took place at the end of the day Dr. Dre is they want KO going into Mania and rightfully so with a victory especially if he's going to be involved in some sort of match that has Randy Orton in it.

13:53 Yeah I really enjoyed this match and we've talked about these are two of our favorite guys in the history of SRTU and these guys can fight or tag up and they can come out there and do karaoke and I would buy into it. It doesn't really matter what they do I just enjoy these guys so much so yeah super super enjoy the match violence you know that we hadn't really seen a long time. I was okay with the Randy stuff because I can look at and go look if you're the baby face you want to give the other baby face a chance to win the match on his own before you get involved but you get involved to protect him from what you with or so.

14:37 I understood why they did it. Yeah like it's for but everything the little subtleties they did like the lights the the term buckles all that stuff was great. But yeah KO definitely needed a win like he I mean like what we were talking about like a summer slam again one of summer slam matches like oh when his last five. Like he had really one a big match since him and Sammy one the tag belt or WrestleMania two years ago so it was just made a lot of sense and it sets it up for WrestleMania with Randy in Kevin which I want to have. I'm happy about their hand though like I kind of wanted to see Kevin and Sammy go at it again at WrestleMania because I think they also deserve that spot like is.

15:17 It's not very often that we see two guys win the tag belt or WrestleMania and then fight each other WrestleMania just the who so maybe that's about it so outside of that like once again one of the better matches I've seen a long time I just really love that match. And then finally John Cena defeat CM Punk drew Macatar Logan Paul Damien Priest and Seth freaking Rollins in elimination chamber match for an undisputed WWE championship match at WrestleMania 41. We both had John Cena in this one really good men's chamber match the storytelling of this one most likely confirmed that drew Macatar Damien Priest and Seth Rollins CM Punk Roman Reigns will happen somehow WrestleMania.

16:00 Cena did not dominate the match and had the closing segment to elimination chamber not happen which we will talk about here in just a second more I would have felt like Cena looked weak heading into an event match at WrestleMania 41 as he needed Seth Rollins help to win so it's very funny when you just watch the elimination chamber match at the surface and if the show just ended right there I think we'd be sitting here going man Cena did not look strong he needed like a miracle to win that match. I guess in a way he did need a miracle to win that match but what took place afterwards is what we will finally lift the lifetime ban on in just a second. Dr. Tre your thoughts on this match.

16:40 Yeah it was I don't know I liked it it wasn't my favorite elimination chamber match we've had recently but I liked it. I think it started setting the groundwork for WrestleMania which is kind of what this needs to do is still kind of leaves Logan Paul on the outside looking in which why he's by the way why is he writing messages to Drake on the chamber wall I get that I didn't get but also they did not mention that Drake was there which was odd. Well I mean they don't want to get sued I guess I don't know there's a lot of kids in the crowd crap now we're getting sued anyway I digress. Yeah yeah I actually liked the booking of the way Cena won this match even like before the other stuff happened because this is an older John Cena this is not prime Superman John Cena this is John Cena who hasn't won a match in singles match in 500 summer days 25 I forgot the number was it was crazy number but I liked it that it was flukeish in a lot of ways that he won this and was able to pull it out.

17:47 But you're right like on paper with that match in it I went yeah Cena doesn't look strong and I don't know how they're going to pull this off with him and Cody and make it interesting between now and then but yeah like I said like this it was a fine chamber match but the chamber match is not what's going to be memorable 10 years from now. All right paper view prediction record from this one I went three in one doctor when a perfect 4 and 0 now in 2025 did you see an big a J boom. And I did it. Whoa. Oh okay cool. 25 favorite prediction records or PLA whatever you want to call it 11 and 3 me doctor tray 10 and 4 match of the night and event rating.

18:31 I gave my match the night to the men's chamber match doctor tray and I gave elimination chamber a 4.2 out of 5. What's a you my friend. Okay now did you give it to the chamber match because of what happened or the actual chamber match itself. I enjoy the men's chamber match. I know you were a big fan of Sammie's and Kevin Owens. I thought it went on a little too long honestly I was not I was not overly I've seen and I think this is where this comes in so I don't know if this is your match. I have seen so many Kevin Owens and Sammie's and matches that I don't think that one crosses like the top 5 which is speaking very high praise because they have like match of the year candidates I think there was one that they did in WWE battleground like 2017 that was amazing and obviously the stuff that I saw back in the day.

19:23 This one was not like I've seen a non-stanked match 2010 final battle our weight between these two guys that was much much better than this one but obviously they were on a bigger stage so that's why I did not choose Kevin Owens and Sammie's because I've seen so many of their stuff that I did not feel like that one was was on that level yet. So I did go Sammie and Kevin from my match tonight in its biasness it's what everyone call it but I just those guys can do basically as early they can do anything and I'm going to enjoy it. I gave a let me shame or 4.5 and a lot of it is because the closes show and the fact that this will stick on our memories for the next 20 years.

Alright so let's get into it folks let it officially if there was a way to verbally do this we are lifting I feel like this is like a like we have a fault or what is it like a storage facility here with a lot of things we put away and we are forcing that door open right now and it is slowly creaking up and lifting the band of something that has been lifetime on this show. Literally stuff that we talked about ad nauseam in when this first show started when the show first started back during WrestleMania 28 and in WrestleMania 29 the rumors of it happening during WrestleMania 29 that came out years later and at one point we just said we got to stop talking about it because WWE is never going to do this and then they did it.

20:55 So the band is lifted because ladies and gentlemen John Cena turned heel Dr. Trey your thoughts. So I think it's been an almost 11 year band was it rock scene a two when we really enforce the band. I believe so I was what rest like WrestleMania 30 29 29 so 12 year band that's pretty incredible because I think the only time we actually kind of creaked the vault door open was after the scene of Bray Wyatt cinematic match slightly because we saw seen in the NWO shirt during that match so it did open it a little bit but yeah this is honestly I had this conversation with my mother-in-law who's now a die heart wrestling fan and she never thought she's seen this coming I was like I thought there was a possibility of this but I didn't know if they either that they had time to pull it off correctly and be if they had the balls to do it because seen a merchandise still sells there is I mean you look that when they show the crowd shots after thing there was you know the last time is now she's going to be the last time.

22:11 And the last time is now sure everywhere like there was a bunch of scene a merchandise in that crowd and to have the guts and the gumption to pull the trigger on it now is incredible like I literally I thought it might happen but I didn't see it coming but man it's it's up there top I mean I've gone back and forth all week long is really a real bigger than seen but in a lot of ways is very similar low both guys when they turn were about 15 years past their peak baby face time so when these guys both pull this pull the trigger on this it's it's incredible so and then just seeing him there and then you know the low blow the the belt shot the punch with the watch you all those things and then standing on Cody's head I know the shot people see you with his arms on his thigh with rock and Travis Scott for some weird reason being there because last time I think I saw Travis Scott he was with Jayusa so it's a weird thing but the fact of seeing seen a standing on somebody's head that that kind of level of disrespect is something we've never seen just do even when he was evil in his early days he was a standing on people's heads like that is like a concrete a conquering warrior super villain tight move I thought it was well done he has the best like blank empty stare I think I've seen in in a very very long time like it almost looked like I don't know if he knows it it looked like almost like his eyes change color like they would

23:57 show close ups and it was just like there was nothing there he looks like the angry old man from Jeff Dunham's puppets a Walter see in the back always I know that is because I think I'm Walter now well I mean John seen it is only one month older than me like almost to the day so yeah it's just an amazing amazing thing they pull off and I applaud them for having the courage the guts in the balls to kind of take this route because the crazy is Jeff we've but I wrestle mania gets here he only has eight months left he said he was done at the end of the year so from wrestle mania to December 31 is like eight months like how do you get a heena a scene a heel run and then a potential redemption arc crammed into eight months because John Cena is not leaving the WWE as a villain he's gonna have to turn back at some point so these next eight months are going to be jam packed and maybe shotgun to bit but I'm here for the I'm here for I'm I'm wanting to see where this goes so there's a lot of questions and I was as you were talking I was like I wonder these are more complaints than they are questions so they may they may get in there so couple of things here so my initial thoughts are this proves along with the EOS guy thing and I think it's on a much lower level putting the title on the EOS guy what they're doing right now this shows that this creative team for WWE has the balls to do it they don't care about hindsight or what we've been told or thought forever they're going to do things that we so we did not see coming this is

25:44 something we did not see coming because of what you said dr. this is the retirement or you got a figure and this is what I feel like you and I talked about when this was potentially brought up on the show or not we can't remember because we're too old men now was that we just felt like no this is going to be a great a sit for they they're not going to let them go out as a heel and and that's what they're doing they've decided to do the complete heel turn in the explanation behind it makes a lot of sense scenic would would be feeling the heat that he wants the record he he had it won a singles match in 2000 some odd days and he didn't know if if if he had it anymore and hustle loyalty and respect had failed him so he needed to sell out so that makes a ton of sense and they've got the the the gumption in balls to do it the things that I did not like about the situation is what you pointed out Travis got in there that does nothing for me I know that he radiates to somebody you know and I like hip hop music I like rap I don't listen to a lot of Travis got stuff I know he's a big star but that did a resonate with me so why he's in there in that moment made little sense other than they want to be able to put this out there on like entertainment tonight and those you know news broadcast sport broadcast but they could have done that because they had the number one movie star in the ring already with with Wayne Johnson and John Cena is a recognizable name and it was everywhere the other thing is it was a great moment and if you're comparing moments here and this is obviously going to be compared about to Holkogan in the NWO versus John Cena turning and citing with with the rock to me it is still Hogan joining NWO no questions asked because he wasn't

27:27 at the downside of his career at that point Holkogan it was a lot of people were calling for it never thought it would happen he was kind of towards the very end of the prime a little bit in the WCW era they executed it and rejuvenated this I think there's a little bit of trepidation on the John Cena part because they we don't know how long he's going to be around for is the retirement tour that he's been speaking about just you know way to get us off the trail and and Cena is going to be around for a little bit longer we don't know that yet and I thought that there was no follow up on Monday's raw was a missed opportunity I don't know if seen has been announced for Smackdown yet as we record this but I felt like those were missed opportunities and and seen a should have addressed on Monday's raw because I think that would have been a great ratings boost for Netflix and if I'm Netflix I'm mad about it the second thing the crowd reaction from the beach 96 versus elimination chamber 2025 you could feel the crowd in that small arena in Florida that night I mean I mean small arena I mean what did I have over 10,000 people Roger center had 38,000 people I had a tough time watching at home doctor try what the crowd reaction was because when you're in a rena's like that or step baseball stadiums you know you'll hear the rest of the reaction goes up and literally everybody that's in that ring in those big events will tell you that they'll be wrestling in the ring and they can't hear the crowd so they don't know what they're doing is right because it's going completely up in the air and not bouncing back

28:57 down off of the roof like it wasn't a rena so even though there was a great crowd reaction I was like I don't get the vibe for this and I was looking for people throwing stuff in the ring and I was like if people throw stuff in the ring as I was watching it I was like this is going to be a great moment people do it maybe it was just more shock and I thought WWE missed out on opportunities and they've done an after the fact you got to show me kids crying you got to show me adults crying were in the scene where and we were not seeing that in real time which I thought was disappointing and then lastly and I realize this is going to be very complaining because I do love that they did this move because of the options that they now have is I was thinking this one you won the match and then the scene has become so cartoony that I was like what has happened to this guy because his facial reactions are so much in bellishing and he's over reacting to stuff so much you want to be like who is this fake ass douchebag basically and then he did the transformation and I'm sorry doctor I know you liked it I thought it came off hokey and then they showed the the graphic for the match on raw and they went with that face that he did towards the end where he's looking out and I'm like this is what are they doing here so I this is to say that I still really enjoy that they did this move but I thought that when you because a lot of people are doing it when you're

30:27 comparing it to bass the beach 96 I think it's a different ball game because in 96 we did not expect that to happen in 2025 we did not expect it to happen but there was 10% of us that still felt like it was coming and as you watch that segment go on I'm like oh man they got to do this like I feel like they're going to do this but I could totally see the show closing out and then they went for it I'm like all I could think of was like yes this was executed very well and was well done but the number one thing to me doctor tray was this creative team has balls because you would hear seen a say that they were trying to push forward at WrestleMania 29 heading in that match with the rock and Vince was the one who denied it because Vince didn't want to lose the merchandise Vince didn't want to lose the make a wish foundation stuff they had a gear picked out for scene they had a new theme song reportedly picked out for scene of the whole nine yards and they went against it and to me that was like the bigger thing of this I was like this creative team has balls on it and that's what I felt like was my biggest takeaway from the entire thing yeah I I love your observations like the scene in the background when Cody is talking to rock and he is just so overly animated I'm like yeah that that's weirdly cornyish you know and then you know the blank stare so there are two reasons for me that the hogan turn is still bigger than this one number one is something you alluded to there's no follow up there's no there was no immediately right there tell me why this happened
