Manage that bankroll: Flat betting, percentage model, confidence model, and Kelly criterion model are all good options to be a long-term sports bettor.

Don't chase money: Think risk management vs. emotional wagering. I've hit 60% plus percent over 60 days only to bust out on a bad weekend by losing all discipline. I go hot/cold on a dime and need to weather the storms.

Have fun: For me, sports betting is a hobby, so I need to keep it fun. I bet significantly less per game now than I did 20 years ago and I'm still having just as much fun doing it.

Overall: I'm not good enough tail, not bad enough to fade. Some days I win, some days I lose. I've made and still make plenty of mistakes, I'm still learning but I love sports betting. I mispronounce names, cities, and teams.
