26-year-old, Master’s of Science in Business Management graduate, former semi-pro soccer player, surfer and skateboarder, Valerie LaForge, grew up on an 80-acre ranch in Sebastopol, California, about an hour North of San Francisco. Her childhood was spent riding horses, climbing trees, and being barefoot. Valerie played soccer at Saint Mary’s college of California, where she studied sociology and justice, community, and leadership, earning her master’s degree in business management. While in college, she completed Marine Officer candidate school in Quantico, Virginia, graduating first over 400 others in physical fitness. During her Master’s program, Valerie traveled to Japan, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Indonesia, and Costa Rica, learning to surf in the Philippines. While in New Zealand, she played on a semi-pro soccer team, and coincidentally, discovered and fell in love with skateboarding. Valerie continues to travel the world, skateboarding, surfing, enjoying life and sharing her experiences as a world traveling adventuress.
