Candice Appleby is regarded as a pioneer of #standuppaddleboard as well as being its foremost champion, whose record of achievements begins in 2007.
In 2008, Candice became the first and only woman to beat men in a professional SUP #surfing event, where she won the women's division, as well as the Open Pro division. Candice captured six victories at "Battle of the Paddle", and three more victories after the event was renamed “Pacific Paddle Games”, considered to be the “World Championship of SUP”.
Earning the title of “Number 1 Female SUP Athlete of the Year” three years in a row, Candice also won three #wpa World Titles in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She then won the " #app World Tour Title” in 2015, and also five gold medals for the United States at the " #isa World Championships" in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2022.
Candice Appleby has been described as, fiercely competitive, tremendously well-respected and a true ambassador of the sport.
