55-year-old, Henderson County #rescue Squad Captain, and National Cave Rescue Commission Deputy Sub Regional Coordinator for the Eastern Region, Kimberly Lughart, is also an Instructor for Wilderness #ems & EMT skills, at Blue Ridge Community College. A 15-year veteran, expert #caveexplorer , Kimberly is also quite active within her community, teaching #cave #rescue Awareness for the Rescue Squad, and leading large-scale, caving field trips for youth groups, and students.
Kimberly holds technical certifications in Mountain #searchandrescue , Rescue Confined Space, Swiftwater/Surface Water, Trench, #ice Rescue, Tower Rescue, and #hazmat . Currently, she’s involved in a mapping and survey project of an undisclosed #cave in Newport, Tennessee.
