On this episode of the Steel City Nation podcast I’ll interview Frank Nicotero. Nicotero is a comedian and the host of the syndicated comedy game show Street Smarts. He began his career doing stand up at Pittsburgh's famed Funny Bone comedy club. Shortly afterward, he toured college circuits, appearing with other comedians including Drew Carey, Adam Sandler, and Rob Schneider—and appearing at more than 300 colleges and clubs throughout the country. He has been a regular for over 10 years at The World Famous Laugh Factory on the Sunset Strip. He has co-hosted the Sharon Osbourne show and has been a guest on other talk shows as well as hosted many other game shows. In addition to stand up and hosting, Frank has written and produced shows for MTV, Fox Family and Disney. Frank has been a lifelong- avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
We will talk with Frank about his love of Pittsburgh sports. How he feels the Pirates will fare in 2020.
Who his favorite current player is and why? What he thinks the future will look like for his beloved Pirates. We will also discuss the upcoming NFL season and just how he thinks the Steelers will do in the AFC North. For our Decade Definers Frank will share with us his all time favorite Pittsburgh sports moments.
