Former NFL network and MASN broadcasting journalist: The Multi-Talented Amber Theoharis

After graduating from the University of Maryland, Theoharis began working in the Maryland, Washington DC area having stops at WBOC in the newsroom then on to sports talk radio as a host at WJZ-FM and finally a sports reporter for WRC-TV. In 2007 she got hired by Mid-Atlantic Sports Network to cover the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles. In 2012 Theoharis left MASN and moved on to the next chapter of her career working for the NFL Network on NFL Total Access. The Emmy Award winning journalist has since left the NFL network and is currently working as Vice President of development of original programming for WinQUick mobile technology gaming platform where she will host a variety of shows beginning this fall. 

Additionally, she co-created and co-executive produced a film for HBO called “The Weight of Gold” which was released in late July.

We will discuss with Amber what motivated her to embrace a career in sports reporting. How her early career choices shaped her for her future. Will have her share with us some of the highlights of working for the NFL Network and then moving onto her current positions in the gaming industry and creating her own projects for HBO. For our decade definers we will ask Amber about her three most memorable moments she has had thus far in the world of sports.
