On January 9th, Netto and Trigo opened a new frictionless store in Regensburg, Germany, and Omni Talk was there to bring you a live exclusive look inside the store to show you how it works.
This one-of-a-kind event is not to be missed!
A full-size 800 square meter retrofitted supermarket, the Regensburg store is both Europe’s largest frictionless store, and the largest retrofitted frictionless checkout store in the world. Most importantly, it is the first computer vision-powered frictionless checkout store to feature real-time receipt capability.
It features the latest extension of Trigo’s existing EasyOut® system which allows shoppers to select their desired items and walk out, bypassing the checkout. Shoppers can review their receipts, approve them, and pay all before leaving the store!
Trigo VP Dominic Brynolf gives a live guided tour of the new full-scale grocery experience to showcase how real-time receipts works and what it actually looks like in practice.
