New York Fashion Week brought us several trends that we're excited to tackle for this upcoming season, but there are three that Ann Marshik and Anne Mezzenga found that you can start wearing today, whether you're in the Fashion District or Fargo, ND.
-Barn Jackets - with dresses, skirts, and matching sets. This is your go-to jacket for fall
-Neutrals - brown, grey, navy, and oxblood are all over the runways and boutiques. But that doesn't mean you can't pop some color. Invest in the neutral pieces, and look to retailers like Walmart, H&M, and GU for more trendy and colorful pieces to spruce up your neutral look.
-Prep - This trend is holding on for one more day, or season in this case. Prep was everywhere, from sporty prep (think track pants and button-downs) to full-on loafers, pleated skirts, blazers, ties, etc.
Stick to these and you'll be set for fall. Our guess is you probably already have many of these items in your closet.
