Hey, what is up, Patriots? And happy early Thanksgiving. I really do hope you get to spend some quality time with your friends and family. Sorry for the delay on this episode. I recorded this all and then found out the entire episode was corrupted. I believe something's going on with my microphone's USB, but I do already have another microphone coming in early December, so hopefully I will only have to deal with this for a few more days. And if my voice sounds slightly different in a couple days from now, now you know why.
00:39
new microphone. So let's take two on this episode. This is O'Connor's Quick Strike and I'm John O'Connor. Three stories the mainstream media won't cover or will completely twist beyond recognition, delivered in roughly 15 minutes or so. No fluff, no BS, no filler. Just the unvarnished truth that peppered with my own take on what's really going on. And we do this every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And as always, if you haven't already, go ahead and just tap that like, subscribe and or follow button.
01:08
Every single one of your taps helps get our message out there to more folks who need to hear it. As a heads up, this will be my only episode of O'Connor's Quick Strike this week due to Thanksgiving. But if you are missing me that much and you are jonesing for more O'Connor, don't forget about O'Connor's rights stand, which will be coming out with another episode tomorrow. Today is Monday, November 24th, and I've got three stories that are going to make your week. We are starting with the first ever, first ever.
01:37
terrorism convictions of Antifa members in American history. Five thugs just admitted in federal court that Antifa is a terrorist organization. Then we are exposing a Florida Democrat congresswoman who just got indicted for stealing five million dollars in FEMA disaster relief funds and then funneling it into her campaign. And we are closing with a Tennessee Democrat running for Congress.
02:05
who got caught on tape saying she hates Nashville, the city she's trying to represent, but says she's cried in the Country Music Hall of Fame 10 times, so yeah, em I guess it's all good, whatever. Let's get into it. Patriots, this is a story I've been waiting a long time to cover. Last Tuesday, November 19th, five members of a North Texas Antifa cell walked into a federal courtroom in Fort Worth.
02:34
and pleaded guilty to terrorism charges. This is the first time in American history that Antifa members have been convicted as terrorists in federal court. For years, the left told us Antifa was just an idea. Joe Biden said it from the debate stage. The media repeated it over and over. Jerry Nadler called it a myth. And now, five Antifa terrorists
03:00
have admitted under oath that they provided material support to terrorists and they face up to 15 years in federal prison. Here's what happened. On July 4th of this year, these five, Nathan Balman, Seth Sykes, Joy Gibson, John Thomas, and Lynette Sharp participated in a coordinated ambush on the Ice Prairie Land Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas. This wasn't a protest. This was a planned
03:29
military-style assault on a federal facility. The attackers showed up dressed in black military gear, wearing body armor, carrying AR-style rifles, and equipped with two-way radios. They shot fireworks at the facility. When a police officer responded to the 911 call, one terrorist, positioned in nearby woods, shot that officer in the neck. Another opened fire on unarmed correctional officers firing about 20 to 30 rounds.
03:58
When law enforcement searched the scene, they found AR-style rifles and 12 sets of body armor from the vehicles, the terrorists themselves, and the area around the detention center. Now, here's where it gets important. As part of their guilty pleas, these terrorists had to agree to stipulated facts, they formally acknowledge as true. And what did they admit? They admitted they planned with others to provide resources and personnel
04:27
knowing and intending that they would be used to carry out acts of terrorism. But here's the bombshell. One stipulated fact reads, Antifa is a militant enterprise that advocates insurrection and violence to affect the policy and conduct of the US government by intimidation and coercion. These defendants agreed to that statement.
04:50
The FBI and federal prosecutors now have legal precedent that Antifa is an organized domestic terrorist network. During the plea hearing, US magistrate Judge Jeffrey Curtin asked if they had ailments preventing them from understanding the proceedings. Two claimed depression, one claimed bipolar disorder, two claimed ADHD. The judge found them competent and accepted their guilty pleas. These five will be sentenced on March 12th.
05:19
Each faces up to 15 years in federal prison. But it doesn't end there. Just days before these five pleaded guilty, a federal grand jury indicted nine additional North Texas Antifa cell operatives. Seven more were charged for related offenses, including attempted murder of federal officers. Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E. Larson said, this is the first indictment in the country against a group of violent Antifa cell members.
05:48
The charges address the vicious attack perpetrated by an anti-ICE, anti-law enforcement, anti-government anarchist group. I applaud the tenacious work of the FBI, ICE, and our partners. We are firm in our resolve to protect our law enforcement officers and federal facilities against organized domestic terrorist cells. For years, Antifa rioted, burned cities, and attacked law enforcement with almost no consequences. The media covered for them.
06:18
Democrat politicians bailed them out. Not anymore. President Trump designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization back in September, and now we are starting to see the results. The left can't gaslight us anymore. Antifa is real. Antifa is organized. And Antifa is a terrorist threat. Now, let's talk about good old fashioned Democrat corruption. Last Tuesday,
06:45
The Justice Department announced federal charges against Florida Congresswoman Sheila Serfus McCormick. She's accused of stealing $5 million in FEMA disaster relief funds and then funneling that money into her congressional campaign. She faces up to 53 years in federal prison. Here's the scheme, according to prosecutors. In 2021, Sheila and her brother Edwin worked on a staffing contract funded by FEMA for COVID-19 vaccinations.
07:15
The contract had ties to her family company, Trinity Healthcare Services. This is FEMA money, federal disaster relief funds meant to help Americans during a pandemic. But prosecutors say a substantial portion of those funds were distributed to her friends and relatives, who then donated to her 2022 congressional campaign. Let me break this down. She took FEMA money, your tax dollars meant for pandemic relief.
07:46
She gave it to friends and family. They then donated it to her campaign. That's money laundering. Sheila won a special election back in 2022 to a vacant Democratic seat with 72.3 % of the vote. In 2024, she ran uncontested. She's been serving in Congress for three years while federal prosecutors quietly built this case. The charges include wire fraud,
08:15
conspiracy and campaign finance violations. If convicted on all counts, again, she's looking at more than 50 years in prison. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries announced she had resigned from her leadership position on a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee while the matter is ongoing. But he's not calling for her to resign from Congress. He's just hoping nobody pays attention. According to Democrat Caucus rules,
08:42
Any indicted lawmaker must step down from leadership positions. So Jeffries didn't have a choice. This is a pattern with Democrats. How many times have we seen them use disaster relief as a personal piggy bank? How many times have we seen them funnel taxpayer money to their cronies and campaigns? Remember, this is the same party that spent years accusing Trump of corruption while literally stealing FEMA money meant for pandemic relief. And here's the kicker.
09:12
Sheila is up for reelection next year. She was planning to run again. Now she's facing 53 years in federal prison. The fact that federal prosecutors felt confident enough to indict a sitting member of Congress tells you they've got solid evidence. You don't bring these charges unless you can prove them. This is the swamp. This is exactly what Trump ran against. Politicians using their positions to enrich themselves.
09:40
stealing from disaster relief funds, and using taxpayer money to finance their campaigns. And the mainstream media? For the most part, crickets. They are barely covering this story. They don't want to talk about Democrat corruption. But we're gonna keep shining a light on it, because the American people deserve to know when their elected officials are stealing FEMA money. One. Finally, let's talk about a story that perfectly captures the absolute disconnect between progressive Democrats
10:09
and the communities they claim to represent. Four hours west of me, Tennessee's 7th Congressional District is holding a special election on December 2nd. That's next Monday, just over a week away, to fill the seat left vacant when Republican Congressman Mark Green resigned back in July. The race is between Matt Van Epps, a Trump endorsed Republican, West Point graduate and combat helicopter pilot, and Afton Ben, a progressive Democrat
10:39
state representative who apparently hates everything about the place she wants to represent. Last week, a 2020 podcast clip resurfaced where Bain, who was one of the hosts, went on an absolute tirade about Nashville. And I mean she left it all out there. Here's what she said, and I quote, I have been heavily involved with the Nashville mayoral race because I hate the city. I hate the Bachelorettes. I hate the pedal taverns.
11:09
I hate country music. I hate all of the things that make Nashville, apparently, and its city to the rest of the country. But I hate it. Let me say that again. I hate the city. Those were her exact words. She's running to represent Nashville in Congress, and she openly admits she hates the city. But it gets better. She went on to mock the tourists who pump millions of dollars into the Nashville economy.
11:36
She said she's the girl at the airport rolling her eyes at the Bachelorettes in their matching pink shirts who are excited about visiting Nashville. She literally mocked people for being happy to visit the city she wants to represent. So let me get this straight. You hate the city. You hate the music industry that made Nashville famous. You hate the tourism that employs thousands of people. You hate the Bachelorettes who spend money at local businesses.
12:03
But you want Nashville voters to send you to Washington to represent them? Make it make sense to me, please. Now, this clip went viral last Wednesday and Thursday. Conservative media jumped all over it. The RNC posted it. Fox News covered it. And suddenly, Afton Ben had a problem on her hands with early voting already underway. So, what did she do? She made a response video on Thursday, November 21st, and folks...
12:31
This might be the worst political backpedaling I've ever seen. She starts the video by complaining about bags under her eyes because the Republican eye of Sauron has finally shifted towards me. Real professional. Then she claims, and I'm not making this up, she claims she had never said she hates Nashville, even though we have her on tape saying, I hate the city multiple times. Her defense, she says,
12:58
you are talking to someone who has cried no less than 10 times in the Country Music Hall of Fame. 10 times? She cried in the Country Music Hall of Fame 10 times? That's our proof she loves Nashville? I don't know a single person who's cried in the Country Music Hall of Fame even once, let alone 10 times. But sure, Afton, that totally erases you saying, hate the city on a podcast.
13:25
Oh, and she also claimed the Bachelorette comments were about the ABC reality show, The Bachelorette. Not actual Bachelorette parties. Which is hilarious because in the original clip she's clearly talking about tourists in matching shirts at the airport. Not a TV show. The woman is lying. She got caught saying what she really thinks and now she's scrambling. But here's the thing. This isn't the first time Ben has trashed Tennessee and its people.
13:55
Back in 2019, she wrote an op-ed for the Tennessean newspaper with the headline, Tennessee is a racist state and so is its legislator. In the piece she wrote, let me be clear, I'm quoting this, let me be clear, Tennessee is a racist state, racism is in the air we breathe, permeating the state capital, end quote. She also said in another interview that Southern sororities are a staple of white supremacy. So.
14:25
She thinks Tennessee is racist. She thinks Nashville is terrible. She hates country music. She hates the tourists. She hates the culture. But she wants you to vote for her to represent you in Congress. Yeah. Okay, this is progressive elitism at its finest. These people move into red states. They hate everything about the culture and the people. And then they run for office to fix us.
14:55
They look down on working class Americans. They mock our traditions and they lecture us about how backwards we are. And then they expect us to vote for them. Well, guess what? The voters in Tennessee's seventh district aren't buying it. Matt Van Epps, her Republican opponent has been endorsed by president Trump, Tennessee governor, Bill Lee, former Congressman Mark Green and Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan. He's a lieutenant colonel in the Tennessee army national guard.
15:25
He flew combat helicopter missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. He's a West Point graduate and he's not trying to fundamentally change Tennessee. He's trying to represent it. The 7th congressional district went for Trump by 22 points last year. Mark Green won it by 21 points. This is deep red territory. But Democrats are pouring money into the race because it's a special election and they think low turnout gives them a chance.
15:53
Kamala Harris campaigned for Bain. DNC chairman Ken Martin campaigned for her. Hakeem Jeffries Super PAC is spending a million dollars to support her. The media has dubbed her the AOC of Tennessee. And she hates Nashville. Early voting is already underway. Election day is December 2nd. If you're in the Tennessee's 7th district, get out and vote. Don't let someone who openly despises your city and your culture represent you in Congress.
16:22
after men told you exactly who she is. Just believe her. So there you have it, patriots. Three stories that show the left for exactly who they are. Story one, Antifa terrorists admitted in federal court that Antifa is a militant enterprise using violence for political goals. First ever terrorism convictions, they are going to prison. Story two, a Florida Democrat congresswoman who was indicted for stealing
16:50
$5 million in FEMA disaster relief funds to finance her campaign. 53 years in prison if convicted. Fingers crossed. And story three. A Tennessee Democrat running for Congress got caught on tape saying she hates Nashville, hates country music, hates the tourists, hates everything about the city, but expects voters to send her to Washington. The election is December 2nd, and Tennesseans have a chance to reject her elitist garbage.
17:20
This is what we're up against, Terrorists who riot and burn cities, politicians who steal disaster relief money, and candidates who openly despise the people they want to represent. But we are fighting back and we are winning. So if you haven't already, follow me on X at O'Connor Podcasts. Check out my other podcast, O'Connor's Right Stand, for deep dives on the issues that matter. We drop episodes usually every Tuesday and Thursday. we need to. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm John O'Connor. Stay informed, stay skeptical, and keep fighting for what's right. I will see you on Monday, Patriots.
