04 Hi, you have dont to censure? Wow, crazy young. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures of Pipe Man W four c Y Radio. And I'm very excited. I just got back, you know, not too long ago, from the holy ground of Vodking and this band was there and they are the local heroes for what I understand of that of Voking Open Air. So let's welcome to the show as rock band.

44 How are you? Oh, we're fine, We're fine, thank you. We're right near the holy ground still. Because we live the Nice. Yes, So tell me about your let's start there. Tell me about your whole history with vark In Open Air. Oh, we started two thy fourteen. We had just another singer, Anton, our singer today is at the band since four years, five years, you know, twenty twenty, twenty twenty. I joined the band twenty twenty and the band exists since twenty fourteen. Yes, yeah, and that's the year of the first first time for us to play there.

36 Nice And how did that come about that you play at Varking for that first time? Is it just because you are local heroes? They it's such a community there that they had to have you play. We are we are friends from from Oliga and Thomas a little bit, and our first singer works for the Ucking Olden Air in the early twenties. Yea, and our basement was a photograph at the Rocking Olden Man in the ninety ninety eight, I think.

22 And so. We came to the Rocking Olden. Are Yeah, So it sounds like you have multiple connections to that festival. Yes, of course. And that is one thing I love about the festival itself is even though it's so big as it is now, it still has this sense of community, the sense of the local area, the village people, you know. Everything is all very close knit, hometown oriented still to this day. Yes, is it now? So tell us what you know a little bit about your band and for those who have never heard your music, how you would kind of as the artist, describe how it sounds.

17 Well, we are we are a cover band. We're playing songs from from other bands. Which we like, a little bit of slash, a little bit of a c DC, some own songs, but mostly we we cover. Since we play and backing, our set list is. Rather yeah, it's make for so we we play hard rock. We say, yeah, and and we've found together because we want to play cover songs. Each of us the most most of us play in other bands and informations and and different styles. But we've found together because we want to play cover songs at the buck and open air.

15 Because it's more fun, right, Like, it's more like a fun project for you. Yeah, and you can pretty much do whatever you want. So who's your favorite band to do cover songs of? Well, that's different. I think the answers would differ from buddy to buddy. For me, it's probably d A d mm hmm. For you, it might be Judas Priest, Judas Priest. Yeah, nice, so so did you You know? What I noticed is that back in when Jeuwis Priest played, they played two songs that I haven't heard them play live in years. So that was kind of cool because they're two of my favorite songs and I've seen them a lot of times at festivals. And then I heard these songs.

10 I was like, oh, they haven't played this one and like one of them was the Ripper and the other was Victim of Changes, which to me is one of their best live songs ever. Yeah, yeah, they are, but we don't have them. And I said, yeah, what, what's your favorite preest songs to perform. We just play medley from the album British Steel that's cool, yes, but we just play covers from bands the Daisies two, so we're we're not a priest cover band also lost.

01 Right exactly? So who would you say? And do you say that? You know, it's kind of a well rounded set list that covers all different types of rock hard rock metal bands. Correct, Yeah, that's right. So what is it that caused you guys to get together to do this? Was it because it was just some fun thing to do? So you decide, yeah, this would be great because we just have a good time. Well, we got asked to play at the festival in twenty fourteen, and so we decided to write a set list and yeah, to play some songs nice, just catching the chance.

56 Right, And then you talk about other bands that you're in. Okay, so tell us a little bit about those bands as well. Uh, the other bands were playing in Yes, Yes, our Druma plays the band called. They play South Carolina rock. Southern rock, country, a bit harder top Molly Hatchet, mostly Moly Hatchet songs. That's pretty cool because I'm actually doing a festival in a couple of weeks where Mount Molly Hatchett is playing.

42 Is a great band, Yes they are, Yes they are. We will tell Marcus there you go. And one other band, Yeah, there are other bands. Well, I'm a drama in a in a pop rock band as well. And our baseman played in a in a hard rock formation before. I'm still playing playing own songs in in a dialect. We talk, we speak here and plumage.

23 Nice And what was it for both of you that got you so into music when you're like at your youngest level in this music journey. Oh for me it is my brother who's six years older than me, heard the purple eurrit hip in the early seventies when I was twelve forteen years and so I came to the hard rock music from the purple you write hip and what you hadet Lenard Skinner. So I'm a rocko musician since nineteen seventy four.

06 That's amazing. Y. Yeah, music is passion. We can live without it. It's passion for you and it's passion for us the listeners, and it's the best therapy there is as well. Yes, well, I'm glad that you were at Vodkin Open Air and I hope to see you next time in person at Vodking and I want to thank you for giving us such great entertainment and thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. Thank you, we thank you for talking with us. And maybe you see us next to Yep, yeah, absolutely together with five Punch.

53 Yes, there you go. I think. Yes, I'm looking more forward to Halloween than five things because they're amazing. Yes, of course. Greetings to all your listeners to the United States and everybody on this channel from the surrounding of the Holy Ground. Thank you for being here. Thank you so much. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipelind. I'm w for CUI Radio.
