04 Hey, you have done to hear true for see wow, for. You young. Since the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four C Y Radio and I'm here with you, are. Here with Overpower. I'm Lewis, I'm Josh. We're in the band Overpower. Are you going to overpower me? That's a little bit sexual. Well listen, we charge extra for that, Dean. I mean, if that's the way you want to look at what I said, Okay, it's up to you. This is already off to a fantastic start. I know right, I'm already happy.

48 Thank you. No, I think we're quite back. Wow, you're quick man like it. It's true what women say about the two second thing is. All I want to do is impress people. He's not He's not lying. He's very desperate. I could see he was so excited he almost fell on his ass to do the interview. To be fair, you have sat me in a chair that is quite literally trying to kill me every time I sit back. So I why not why his armor is trying to shoot me? Man? Like I thought, I left the gun stuff in the States. For those that can't say this, it's it's a Rick Grimes from the old Walking Dead comics. Yep, yep, and. He's pointed a gun, right a Dean.

29 One hundred percent the whole time, I thought he meant that you were just really muscling and you appointing guns at him. Oh, I assume that's what you meant. Actually it is, Yeah, that that's your sexual desire. Yeah, I'm talking about the actual gun. See the pants off of Lewis. This is a horny ass interview. How we doing? Hello? Right, it's love he seating Dean. Hey, listen, Mike Day started off parking and the parking attendant like, hello, gorgeous. Yeah, apparently he did with that, And now I don't feel so fucking special. They mean for you, Well, that's true. It might because I'm American. Wait, no, that's not the reason.

09 That's not true. Very popular at the moment. Listen, at least I don't have orange skin. Just saying, what do you think if. You're a supreme leader at the moment anyway, Well, supreme leader is a very good way to call it. Like I like him as much as the Supreme Leader ayatola. Yeah, okay, okay. He's basically like fifteen minutes from my studio in the state. So yeah, that's why I'm over here. I try to get out of there as quick as much as possible. Sometimes even I have problems getting back in. Wow, Like I guys sit there and go through this whole interrogation like why are you here? I live here, I'm a citizen.

54 Yeah yeah, you know, and well what purpose do you have here? I'm going just existing, just right, just going about my day. But listen, yeah, like the only thing you could love about him is that he's not over here. Yeah, oh yeah, and I can assure you we love that when he does come over, it's always funny. Yeah. Yeah, the sky is really really really how do you find the UK at the moment? Interviewing you now? So you find the weather right now? This is fun Well yeah, it's just like Florida. So I feel like you're making it like I'm at home now because usually listen, I love the UK, I love the people here. I would move here. I've had people ask me a movie here, including publicists that want me to cover all the festivals. I can't fucking deal with the bipolar weather man. Oh my god. Like I have to pack like three suitcases to come and do a four day festival.

56 Yeah, yeah, yeah, luckily with this one. It's just been really the entire. Time, well not really because that night are you coming, No, but I had to walk to my car, like that first night was fucking freezing. I was fucking cold. But I saw you walk in with your shorts and no shirt on. It's like forty holiday yeah right, well vacation, sorry, vacation. Yeah, it's like you're in the Canary Islands right now with the weather right now here. Maga loof, maga loof. Yeah. So, and more to your interview question. I fucking love Bloodstock because it's just one big family here. Everybody's cool.

43 I have yet to find an asshole. When I go back home to Florida, everywhere I look as assholes. Yeah so, like I think you guys kicked out all the assholes at Bloodstock and sent them to my house. Thanks a fucking line. Now, he's honestly, this actually, I think is our first time Bloodstock ever. Like, have you never been to this? Fust done? I've done download a bunch, done a lot of kind of other festivals in the UK. For whatever reason, this is my first time of Bloodstock. Always wanted to come along and the vibe here is amazing, right, this is like, this is why people love the metal community. Do you know what I mean? If you're ever gonna if you're ever gonna take someone that's.

24 Like, oh, those those metal heads are a bit scary, bring them here exactly. Well, I'll tell you a story I've a do with that and having to do with horniness. Okay, I'll cover the whole thing. In one shot. Hit me up. So one weekend I had to cover two festivals. Obviously I can't do that. So I had this girl at worked for me. I'm like, you're gonna cover this festival. Now. She wasn't a rocker. She was a country girl, never been in a rock show in her life, much less metal, okay, and she was really scared. And I'm like, listen, it's not like your country shows where a bunch of rednecks are drinking, jacked in and fucking and getting into fights with each other. Okay, I'm like, Demashpa, it ain't like that.

05 We pick each other up, we help each other out. We're not trying to beat each other up, even though you think we are. You're gonna go there, You're gonna make all these new friends you'll probably get a new boyfriend and you'll have the time of your life. So punchline. She comes back after the weekend. Oh my god, you were so right. I made a bunch of new friends. I t bag some guy and he's now my boyfriend. Uhh uhh uh oh. I have PTSD when you do ship like that, because the last the last two festivals in the state, that's usually when you're getting evacuated. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

47 Like where's sorry? He's always sorry? Thing? Right? Okay, yeah, exactly right. You gotta be careful with US Americans. I can't. Dean did flinch quite hard. Right like I did. Welcome to Rockville. And due to weather like they have it in Florida during hurricane season, we got evacuated three out of four days. God because Downbeat did did a load of stuff like that. Oh crazy, okay, literally on not the first day I was shut down because of the weather. In the storm came in, just smiled. I had forty two interview scheduled, twelve got cut due to weather. Really, do you know the band's Psycho stick Yeah.

27 Oh they're funny as fucking shit. So two times we got evacuated one time. It was funny. The guy comes over says red to me, which means code red. But I had interviewed the band read earlier in the day interview. I'm like, I interviewed them already, that's literally what I said, and. Get the fuck out. There's a tornado coming. So now they made up a sign that said code red. And this next day I'm interviewing Psycho Stick and the signs code red. Oh my god, they were so fucking funny. They just started freaking out, like like in the worst play. Oh my god, Oh my god, we gotta get out of here, the places go, I'm gonna die. And we did finish the interview like that.

16 Yeah, did you ever have code orange on? There is code orangeer's code yellow, code orange, code red? Yeah, okay, this went right from yellow to red. There was no fucking orange. Did code orange play though? Oh that's where you were going. See, I'm a fucking American, I'm an idiot. Not it really much, to be fair, he did say it so like, and they're not playing here, so not even in that mood. No, that's my fault. But yeah, you want to you wouldn't want to code orange during that set, would you but people walk around holding up signs for that band. Well, wait a minute, orange signs.

56 I didn't get the fuck. Out right exactly. Here's another story that happened. Okay, so walk a Flock of Flame was playing at Rockville too, and they did a Code red. He you know, it's a hip hop dude, he ain't gonna listen in the fucking rules Code red. He jumps off the stage and starts a mosh pit instead of evacuating. Behavior. That's so much cooler. I know, right, yeah, Code red. Oh that must be mosh pit, you know, and like just the irony of a hip hop dude starting a camash pit during a Code red.

40 We got body count later on. Oh yeah, well that oh my mind, Oh my god. They are so good and they're so badass. At one show, Vincent Price jumped off the stage that mind you, the stage was about like almost as high as. This, which is one fifteen foot. Yeah, he broke his leg and kept playing like he literally broke his leg and kept playing. Somebody came over picked him up in my chair, and then the end of the set, then they brought him and found out he broke his leg. Oh, my god, wild that wild fucking metal.

20 Oh yeah, that's hardcore. That's that's the real stuff. Come on, now you do it me. I'm just fucking Masha with dinosaurs, that bloodstock. That was the most fun I ever had in this circle pit with dinosaurs, this shit heavy source. Yeah, there we go. Yeah, yeah I did that explains the dinosaurs. Yeah. And then after that was Evil Scarecrow and they had spiders in the pit from they had fucking the crabs in the pit, and then they had the whole place doing like crab claws. I'm like, yeah, you. Know, you kind of have the bananas as well. Yeah, part kind of had likes bananas. There was a banana thing going on here. Yeah, you know, and I love all that ship because I don't know if you heard about that hardcore band that fucking and it.

07 Yeah yeah, this was the Banata Yeah, bana. Gategate, Banana gate, yep, fucking And I'm saying right now, fuck them, like, let people have fucking fun. Do whatever you want. I don't care if you're a fucking avocado. Yeah you want people that he shows, right. And also if you come into my show and you want to dress up as a fucking banana do. It and everybody knows this banana dude. Yeah, like he's a he's at all the festivals. Shut the fuck up your gate keeping piece of. Ship, right and that. I think that's one of the amazing things about Bloodstock as well. It's just anything goes. Everyone is so so on the same page here.

49 Here, isn't it Every freak in the world that is an outsider in the world is now an inter Every year I buy from the Sophie Lancaster merch weird Musher Greek merchau. Fuck you people with your fucking bullshit. I want to be a weird marshal freak. That's it we will do. That's why we're here exactly again. You bring it ut here. They have the best time. You've got the loveliest people around you. Like I said, until now, I've never met any assholes that pluck. We were saying the same thing. You see, I had to pay you back for that code or ship.

32 I like it. It's like tennis now, this is this is very Wimbledon. Right there you go. In fact, I think that's there's so much cool ship here, Like we have the pillow fighting, the metal. Yoga that's Sam from Raised by the Pillow. And what what what's it called? The the the Joustein. They have a certain kind of joudstein here. Well, no, but you sit and like a I forget the name of it, but you sit in something and somebody pushes you into another. No, no, just like a. Like a box.

12 Okay, that is we need to go and find out for this. That sounds amazing, sounds like my cup of tea. Like there's there's something for everyone. Yeah, I don't think this. I don't think there's a thing. I think this is something that Deans set up in the car park out back and he's running some weird, some underground jousting ring. I think someone's told Dean about this and he's believed it. I was told, but it is true. I did see the pillow play from with my own eyes. Boxousting. I think that's probably that's what it is. It's like a it's like a box jouseer or something type something like that. What am I doing after this? Do you want to come and find it? With that? I know right well?

53 I was thinking I have an idea. It's like maybe you could do this in your your next set, is you could play tennis on stage with the guitar picks and the drumsticks. Do you know what? I have absolutely no athletic ability whatsoever. I cannot throw and I cannot catch. But you can. But you can hit a guitar pick with drumstick. Right. I can't do either of those things. He was visualized. Now I can't do that. Now can I do that? I felt a fuse go in my brain. Yeah, you're not very sporty.

36 Are you? But since you're not as like, that just makes it more fun. So when he was building his d D character in the womb, he he min maxx everything into writing riffs basically, and then just everything else is just like by the bye. Yeah, my dad was hoping I'd play football and he's very disappointed. Yeah, but you can write a rift though, right loves the riffs. Yeah, and you can go on the marsh bit. Yeah. He had weirdly enough talking about like jousting and everything. There was someone that brought like crates of inflatable swords for our set. Really, when when the pit erupted, it was just dustick dust and swords. So I was festival a few months back Milwaukee Metal Fast.

20 Oh yeah, great and they want us next Shire, please please ask us to come out. What a great festival. Because Green Jello is playing now, they're called green Jelly because Jello thinks it's okay for a pedophile to promote them, but not a punk band. Okay, so just know the law behind that. Bill Jello is a trademark. Yeah, and Bill. Cosby was there was a Bill Cosby thing. Okay, yeah, yeah, but and they said you can't, you can't call you those green Jello. Yeah, so they had to change her fucking name Joy, so. Weird over here, they've always been green Jelly. And the only reason I know that is because if you get the Dumb and Dumber official soundtrack, they.

06 Have the bear one over the Mountain by Green Jelly on that and he's green Jelly. Well, because they had to change in the very beginning. So during the set, first of all, they had the whole crowd chanting several times green Jello sucks, Green Gello sucks. Green Gelo sucks. But they handled out water noodles to everybody. It was the most by the pit was all noodles, like. It was so much fun, man, Like, I can't tell you how many marsh pits that I'll send to my daughter videos of and she'll be like, what the heck saw the dinosaurs? What the heck is that? You know?

53 And then there was one okay, this was the best violence was playing in the little part of the festival and it was like old school Bay Area. That I was going to say, like Phil Demol's old. Yeah that I've been to those shows in the Bay Area, okay, And so basically I sent her video because there were like stage divers, and I send her the video and she goes, oh, is that how you knocked out your teeth? And I'm like, yeah, but I climbed up on Marshall stacked and swan dive and the crowd moved and my teeth hit the floor. And that is a real true story. Yeah, that's a true story. That's why my teeth looks so good because they're both.

43 Paid for. They're not real, I mean, and they look very good for it. See like they're definitely. I was wearing braces at the time too. I was supposed to get them off like a month later, the braces were still there. The orthodized did a really good job because those braces did not break. Only my teeth. Staying the steel. I'm Steel. So you're Florida, right. I live in Florida. Will never claim being from there. Swamp Fest. I don't know that one, except for you know, when I go out and like I'm wrestling wrestling as.

25 It's like an extreme sports and music festival. It's crazy called swamp Fest, and it checked that out like insane. I want to play it so badly, like people setting themselves on fire and going off like motocross and BMX jumps on fire. That sounds like a Florida thing. It's actually called you know. Then I interviewed last night they get kicked out of clubs all over the UK because they light each other on fire for real. No, No, they're from here. Where is it, Corby. Koby. That's a wild place to be from in this country.

06 Yeah, that's where they're from. Did I say it right? Did I say that? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, we live here and he's never heard of that place. That's how That's why I got That's why I was wondering. He had a perplexed look, and I'm like, maybe I said it wrong. No, you got it wrong, You got it right. I just didn't understand I'm just stupid. Well, I'll make one last laugh for you, okay, yeah right. I only tell this story in the UK because you guys get it. So when women from the UK come over to America, they put on this act like they're the royals, you know, and they're all hoity toity and look down on us lowly, low class Americans and they're you're better and they're better than us. And that was my second ex wife. Okay. She was like that miss prim and for English girl, spoke to Queen's proper English and then she was fun party girl, but she would drink like fifteen margaritas a night and turn into batshit crazy.

12 Yeah now, I it might have been every check before his transition. Love me legs. But I never knew where she was from in England because she never shared that with me. And I thought, you one thousand pounds right now, we can guess. I'm gonna have you guess. I have you guess because I found out where it was afterwards, So now you can guess. You get fast, Let's go to be Newcastle. Well, and they are the winners. That's a grinding, fucking a man.

57 I mean to meet all you people before I met her man we know, Oh my god, and now that people tell me about now it all makes sense, like it's like an aha moment, like it just the floodgates open, all. Like Newcastle all along. But it was Newcastle, genuinely Newcastle. She means Newcastle. Then no, it's awesome. I'm afraid to go there. Maybe I'll bump into her phone. It's great. It's a beautiful place. It's really beautiful place. Great shows there as well, who. Are genuinely super friendly. It's just a bit of a bit of a small someome shows, some awesome shows. Well, people said, do you mean you didn't recognize the Jordi accent? Like no, she spoke the Queen's proper English.

39 She was practicing. I think Brian Johnson ad. There you go, there we go. Okay, and here's the funny part. Have you heard? Yeah, I just did it. That's what. Wait, we've been rumbled. I only do it here in the UK because I get the same reaction every time. I let I let them guess, and they guessed, like first shot or they know lucastle little bit. Uh So she play the grove and bikers.

25 She always needs to say to you married the wrong sister, because apparently her sister is a singer of a hardcore punk band and she hate my ex. She hated this ship. She wouldn't come to this in a million years, and like, I never met her sister, but I am absolutely tempted to try to find her sister and say bye away at one point in time. You don't know this, but I was your brother in law. I would love if I could interview her. It just happened by accident, and I tell that story, like, could you imagine I don't even know who it is. I'm interviewleader and I tell that sorry, and she's like, oh, that's my sister. I'd be like, oh fuck, I told that story one too many times. I think there's that much further we could go from there.

18 Okay, you've completely satisfied me, tean, right, See, this has been brilliant. This has been very fun. That's that's better than what the women say. I just like having a chat again. Saucy again, saucy again. Okay, so now let's for the finale. Tell them how they can reach out to you buy your merch, because if they don't buy your merch, I'm gonna make them marry my ex wife. Yeah, it's a specific threat. Okay, so you can find us everywhere. We are at overpower thrash or one word that is overpower thrash, like thrash metal on Instagram, everyone else which is overpower.

59 It's like thrash metal. Oh yeah, it's not just like thrash metal. How are you just finding this out? Now? I'm just fucking with you. All right, let me show you something. I'm gonna show you something. We've were just finishing up, I know, and now you've fucking opened it back up. So while corners up tilm the rest of your room for the phone's out. So we've we've just put out. So you've just put out a new track on Church Road Records and it's called Terminus. You can stream it absolutely everywhere at the moment, and it fucking rips and if you don't like it, you rock off.

42 Yeah, really really read. Music videos are coming back, I'm telling you, like people are starting to make music videos together, which I'm super happy about. So we we had our friend Ben come in and film a video for us, and they have absolutely smashed the living hells out of it. It looks incredible and the music video has had more views than it has had streams of Spotify. So you gotta you gotta sort that out. They made us look like a real band. Oh you're a real band looks only on YouTube. Yeah, we're a real band on YouTube over fresh. So I'm an old school thresh mellowed. I was at the Metallica's first show ever, Slayers first show ever, and then when they fucking ditched me in La me and my bro with hitchhike up to the Bay Area and then we really found out what thrash was. There's my eighties battle vest. There was no Slayer patch yet, so I just put the let their vet velvet iron on letter.

43 It was cool as how and. I drew everything on there. You could see that's the original Exodus and. We get to keep this and we get to keep that fuck off. That's why I left it at the hotel. I actually normally bring it in. It's at the hotel. I normally brave. Yeah, I'll let you know where it is. And then that's the back and like there's so many bands on there, that's GBH. The exploited's on there, and it's over time, I add, because there wasn't Megadeth when I started it. Anthrax is on there, Exodus possessed Dark Angel. Look, that's the old school first Exodus logo right there. There's a proper Dark Angel logo. Battalion of Saints on there, fucking exciter.

39 And then here's the front. Hold on, we'll get you a better pick at the front. And you can tell I've been through some wars. Oh hell yeah. The blood from when I knocked out my teeth is on there. You've still got this? I still have. Yeah, there's I mean, if you if you like proper old school eighties thrash, there is so much of that worship. And I'm using suicidals on here. Suicide all jokes, asiey, this has been such a fun interview, but all joke said, I genuinely think that you'd absolutely fuck without the power. So check its out. Yeah, totally like Thrash. I like all metal, but Thrash is number one.

23 I think you really enjoy it. I'll tell you funny one last funny story that fun funny funny, like before, but that at first show, Dave mustay and gets off the stage. He's talking to me. I'm thirteen years old. He hands me his business card. It says Metallica Power Metal Dave mustay in because not exist yet even though they were flash No fucking was thirteen. I'm like, what the fuck do I need this? He walked away? I thought it in the garbage? Oh no, yeah, what's the thirteen year old need with a business cards? Right? Like? What the fuck you mustay? Like? Who is this guy for? Why web is still not worth anything? That's cool as how?

07 Okay, So I have to answer you one last question then, since your thresh mail people, which version of Ride the Lightning to you? Prefer the one on Ride the Lightning or the one on the final megadepth album. You've got the chance to say the funniest thing ever hear. No, I'm not saying it's the original. Obviously the original. It's obviously the original. I want to hear the funny ship. I'm not going to say. I'm not going to do that. Now you're gonna hold back. Now you're gonna. I'd also really like to talk with one day. I don't anything that could now, it's the Og. It's the Og.

50 My name is kind of bicking it up, being like, you know, it's a lot faster. He says a lot more solos. Yeah, I never listened to write the Lightning thought I wish this had more solos. You know what, it's pretty I give I give Megadeth mechanics. I like both mechanics. Means four Horsemen. Well, because it's the original version, right, okay, yeah, okay, it's not the Leonard Skinner version. You know about that, right, you don't know about that. It came up to an interview fucking when they were when when they were first doing the Four Horsemen, that riff in there is from Leonard Skinnard and Mustayne said something like, that's fucking Leonard Skinner. No, And he says in interviews he's like he couldn't get He says, Okay, I'm not I love Metallica, so I'm not saying anything negative Metallica or Lars or James because I love them all. But he's like, yeah, but you know Misstad and his ego, and I love him too, But he's like, yeah, they couldn't play mechanics fast enough.

You've got a hell of a discography, right anyone the rights hangar eighteen. Yeah, it just doesn't have to play out to do do like the guys that make it death do? They say him, not good, like Dave, we just want you to be happy about what you're doing now. But it's really good. Well, just enjoy it. And he's like I can't. Well, Dave, if you're listening Overpower in the UK, love you, Yeah, yeah.
