04 Hi, you're listening to Adventure on W4CY Radio. This is the Pipe Man here on the Adventure's Pipe Man W4CY Radio, and I'm here with.. The Paradox. Nice. I'm Eric, I play guitar. I'm Donald, I play bass. Big PC-3 here. Brown chummy Leonardo DiCaprio, baby. Nice. Here at Warp fucking Tour Montreal, man. Insane. I got to sit here and watch your set from here, too, earlier. Oh, I love that.

45 I hope you enjoyed it. Like, I always miss sets because I'm in here. Yeah. But that was pretty badass. Thank you, man. Well, that means the world is a lot of fun. That's what I want to find out. How much fun was it playing here at Warp Tour? It is a blast. Every time we play on any stage, from small to big, wow, pause. But it's just we love playing live music just in general. 10 out of 10. 10 out of 10. See, I love hearing that shit because if you're not having fun playing on stage, this is the wrong business to be in. Exactly. You know? Nah. Right? I don't get it. I see some bands, they look like they're miserable up there. I'm like, that's the best part of the job.

28 Yeah, dude. I'm like, exactly. That's the roller coaster. Exactly. Exactly. So how did you guys get together and what was the journey to Warped Tour? Ooh, well, yeah, it was about, like, two years ago, I, like, had the idea for this band, and I called out Donald, who was living in Florida at the time, where I was. Where in Florida are you guys? We're from a small town called Palm Coast. I know it very well. Really? Yeah, because I live in South Florida, and Palm Coast is where I stay when I do Welcome to Rockville in Daytona. That's insane. Wow. Okay. Well, that was, that's beautiful. Cause nobody, nobody here would know.

10 Nobody anywhere knows about Palm Coast. Well, that's where we grew up, man. Yeah. Nice. My whole childhood there. And we, um, so I ended up moving out to Atlanta, um, had him come out with me and I had like got heavy into like this music through like a Rick B. Otto video. And I was just like, yo, we need to start a punk band, bro. Like it's just suburban music and we're suburban guys. So, You know, and then I met Zeeland on Facebook and I was like, yeah, it does. But I was just like, yeah, I put an ad out on there and he answered it like nine months later. And he was like, yeah, dude, we should start a band. And then he brought Percy in like right after that. And we just started posting on Instagram and TikTok and it just took, you know.

51 I love it. And the way you connected, that's so old school because like that's how Metallica started. Really? Yeah. Lars put an ad out. For somebody... Because he was supposed to get on Metal Blade's Metal Massacre, the first one. He didn't even have a band yet. But Brian Slagle said, if you have a band, I'll put you on. And he goes, I will have a band. There you go. And he did like you did. Like, just put an ad. Yeah. And there you go. It's awesome. I mean, that is what punk rock's all about, though, anyway, right? Yeah. You know, it's like, just get together... And play music, have fun, and have a brotherhood and sisterhood within our community. There's no outsiders. We're all the outsiders on the inside.

39 Exactly, yeah. So, did you ever think that a couple years later you'd be playing Warped Tour? No. Like, I didn't even know Warped Tour was going to come back. Yeah, we had no idea. I could not have predicted this. Not at all. Right? And now you guys got to start a MySpace page, too, because that's coming. Back, too. MySpace is coming back? MySpace. Can you believe this? That's crazy. MySpace is coming back. Warped Tour is back. OzFest is coming back. It's like... I think they all realize that those were the better times. Dude, like, 2026 is like the new 2006. Right? Exactly. It is wild, man. And, like, this place is cool. This venue, too, is so cool. Like, I walked in here. I'm like, man, where's my skateboard? This is like a full-on skateboard park, the whole place. I love it. You know, and so how did you get this gig? Tell us how you got this gig. Because you're here with a bunch of icons that have done Warped Tour forever. So, like, what an honor.

47 I think, honestly, a lot of luck. Because we did our first Warped Tour last year in Long Beach. And I just remember, like, just begging our agents. Like, as soon as we found out that it was happening, we were like, please get us on here. And we got really lucky there. But Kevin Lyman's been, like, a really, like, good friend and, like, so nice. Such a good mentor to us and, like, He's definitely gone to bat for us to get us on these stages and stuff, which has been amazing. See, I love hearing that. He's awesome. Because that's why he's one of the best. And he got us on the CD. He fought for us to get on the CD. Wow. Shout out to Kevin, man. See, that's what I like to hear. When you have people like Kevin that are taking bands. And putting them out there and showing the world because there's so many great musicians out there that nobody ever gets to see.

37 That's fair. You know, so here you are. Great musicians at one of the greatest festivals there is. Thank you, man. That means the world. So now how do you top this? Uh, man, I'm not sure. You know, we're going on tour, uh, coming up this October, which really excited for our first headline tour. Just sold it out. Nice. Really excited about that. And, uh, we got big things coming. I don't know if we can even talk about it, but big things coming after that. It's going to be. Well, since you can't talk about it. Oh, well, there you go. They announced us? Yeah. Oh, okay. Well, yeah, we're going on tour with the Jonas Brothers. All right? Nice. We're going on tour, which is going to be awesome.

18 All right? That's wild. Yeah, no, huge for us. I mean, childhood heroes, man. Right? You know, so. Crazy. It's so insane. Yeah. It's like one day you're thinking about doing this shit, and then all this stuff happens. It's crazy. Sometimes you're probably thinking, is this real? Yeah. Is this real life? It feels like a dream. One day you're watching the people on the TV and the next day you're next. To the people on the TV. I know, right? I remember when I first became a Jonas Brothers fan. My dad's friend's daughter used to babysit us way back in the day. And I remember being on her floor. Watching TV, Disney Channel, right? She would always have Disney Channel on all the time. Never changed the channel. And I remember... through the commercials, and they'll play, like, music videos.

03 Year 3000 came on. I was hooked from that very moment in 2005. I was like, yo, these guys are fucking dope. They were literally the gateway. And next thing you know, later on, Phantom Blink-182, man, the rest was history. Wow. See, I love those stories, man, because it just shows that you can do anything you want to do, no matter where you're from, what you do. It's all in here. Exactly. All up here in the head for sure. I firmly believe that. So, I want to know where the Florida dates are going to be on that tour. Ooh, I'm not even entirely sure. Yeah, we're doing it in Jacksonville. Okay. I'm not sure exactly when. Do you know the date?

44 It should be the 17th of November or the 16th. Okay. We'll do it before Atlanta, right? I would think so. Yeah. We'll do it at Warped Tour Orlando, and then we'll do it in Jacksonville. Nice. So, yeah. You're going to be at Warped Tour Orlando? I was going to be, but my son's getting married, so.. Wow, congratulations. You know, got to be there. So I had to come all the way to Montreal instead. Instead of the two-hour drive to Orlando. We got to see you on the Wimmer Festivals, too, like Welcome to Rockville and shit like that. So I'm just putting it out there because I do all the Wimmer Festivals in the U.S., the Danny Wimmer Festival. Yeah. So we need to get you on there, too.

27 That'll be fun. We did Rockville this past year. You did do it this year. Yeah. So I didn't talk to you there. I was there. Yeah, I was insane. Huh? That's a pretty badass, like, on the Daytona Speedway, man. Yeah, that was wild. Like... Well, you guys know, it's Florida. Steam. Humid. And we got, what, evacuated three out of four days. Dang. The rain. The lightning, you know. Three to five o'clock, set your watch by it. We're going to have that thunderstorm. Damn. I had like 12 air views cut due to weather. The best, well, the coolest thing, though, was there were two cool things about getting evacuated. One was... that I was doing an interview with Psycho Stick, and we got the code red, and they just, they're so funny, they just started freaking out. I'm not fucking leaving. And they're doing all this stuff. And we did finish the interview.

28 But then also, there was another time that there was an evacuation. And Waka Faka Flame was playing. And he said, fuck it. And he got in the crowd and started a mosh pit. My daughter, there's a video of my daughter right next to him in the mosh pit while we're supposed to be being evacuated. Was there music playing or what? He was just doing... He refused to stop playing, man. He just did it. You know? By the way, speaking of festival... in Japan summer Sonic just came back Yes, remember when blink played summer song Sonic in 2003.

09 No, like no, no, not on the beach. Dude. It's insane, dude Like they literally brought it back just in time. So dude, that would be amazing if we got on summer Sonic. And Let's put that out there in the universe. I'm putting it in the universe. So guys, tell everybody how they can reach out to you on socials. Buy your merch. They can't listen to my show unless they buy your merch. Okay? And anything else you want them to know to follow you and look out for. Follow us at The Paradox Band on Instagram. Oh, the EP. Yeah. Proceed with caution. Coming out October 2nd. It's going to be fire. Make sure to get it. Make sure to get it. And the tour. Fuck, I'm really bad at this. This is why I'm not a spokesperson. But yeah, it starts in October, ends in November. We love to see you guys there. Sing your hearts out. And we love you guys so much.

01 And if you don't catch us there, catch us on a Joe Bros tour in December, end of November. Yeah, what they said. Well, you guys fucking rock. And I'm glad you're here at Warped Tour. I can't wait to see a lot more of you. Thank you. We had a blast hanging out with you, man. Well, I had a blast, too. Thanks for being on The Adventures of Pipe Man. Thank you for having me. Thank you for listening to The Adventures of Pipe Man on W4CY Radio.
