04 This is the Pipe Man here on the Adventures of Pipe Man W4CY. Radio, and I'm here with.. The Antiqueens. Yes, nice. And she's munching on some of these cheese. This is for my label manager, Mike McGee. He specifically said no gum, but he did not say no cheese curds. He never not once said no cheese curds. You have to be specific, for sure.

45 You're so petty, we will find loopholes. And I just want to tell you, too, I was listening a little bit to one of your other interviews, and we won't be talking about going to the bathroom on this interview, but maybe. Maybe. I mean, we're open to it. We are open books. Ask us anything. I thought you said open butts for a second. That too. So you know what's funny about that is I'm going to Rock, Lahoma next. And that is like the most insane camping in the United States for festivals. And there is a school bus there that they built a deck on. And it's called Buses, Boobs, and Buttholes. And so if you come up to the bus and you show your boobs or your buttholes, you get Mardi Gras beads. And that happens all over the camping. Cool. Yeah, right? They have a strip campsite, a strip club campsite. So after the main band, everybody goes out to that campsite for a strip club show. And then there's stuff all over the campground just like all of that.

47 That does not sound like something I'd be interested in, but I am happy that people enjoy that. I know, right? It's weird, right? Live your best life always. It is a trip. The experience there is kind of like, okay, yeah, we are in Oklahoma. That doesn't seem like on track for Oklahoma, though. Oklahoma, I think like Bible Belt, I think like modesty. That's why when they go there, they need to let it all out. You know what I mean? Literally, yeah. So Warped Tour Montreal. How badass is that to be here? Oh my God. Check off the old bucket list. For me, because Valerie's played Warped Tour, but I haven't. I have played twice before.

27 Have you played Montreal? I played Quebec City once in 2005. That's close. It's pretty close. But this venue's pretty cool, man. I haven't been to this venue before. I walked in, I'm like, Oh man, I wish I brought my skateboard. It's like one big skateboard park. Oh, awesome. We actually haven't been in yet. We got here, we missed the band check-in, we waited in a parking lot for half an hour, and then we came right here. Well, I feel good about that, that you're here. But you're not the only band that has had that issue today. Oh, okay. So don't feel bad. Like almost every interview I've had today, it's been late because they had a problem getting in.

08 Oh, okay, good. So now you can feel good about yourself. It's a norm for us, but it's good to know that people are following suit. It means we were on time today. See? I like that. There you go. Craziest story, good or bad, in your whole musical career, what would it be? And you two probably have different stories, but maybe not. I got mine. Go for it. I think, honestly, one of the craziest stories for me personally is a full circle moment where we're touring Europe and then we're playing a bunch of festivals. This was last summer. We were on tour in Europe for five weeks. It was very hot. A heat wave followed us for three and a half of those weeks, all the way up into the UK too.

50 Like it was hot. Anyways, we finished our tour off at punk rock holiday in Slovenia and we played the beach stage. It was amazing. It was so hot. We did not go in the river. It was so cold and I didn't have my swimsuit. And it was too cold. But we finished. The night off. We got to jump on stage on the main stage with Gob and sing one of my favorite songs, I. Hear You Calling. That was such an incredible moment for me because I was such a fan. I mean, still am. And then suddenly I'm in Europe with them and I'm like, I used to listen to these guys in high school and like, I want to jump in. I don't know. That is one of those weird moments when you're in this industry, when that happens, right? It's like the fact that we're making friends with people that have inspired us to bring ourselves here. You know, that's, probably the craziest thing for me.

38 It's the coolest thing. And I'll tell you what, speaking about what you were saying about going, I just got here from Europe and UK and it was brutally hot. I did Vakan. It was really bad this year. Oh my God. It was so bad. And, uh, So I was doing Bloodstock, but then my friends were doing Rebellion because it was the same weekend. These are all festivals we hope to one day play. Oh, fucking Rebellion. You guys definitely should be at Rebellion. Is that the one we've been invited to before? But it was early on in Antique Queens and we couldn't afford it. Oh, yeah. It is definitely a bucket list you need to put on your list. Yeah, and Bakken too. I'd love to go play that. That'd be amazing. Just to say that we did. Let me tell you something.

20 I do Hellfest every year. This was the first year I did Vakken. I'm like, how much bigger than Hellfest can it be? And I was like, holy shit. That festival's enormous. I didn't even see the whole festival. I had a band, and they're like, can you come to our stage to do the interview? And I'm looking, and it's like an hour walk to their stage. An hour walk to one stage. That sounds like a lot of work. Oh, pfft. I don't know. Do we still want to play it? You still want to play it? There's golf carts, yes. As long as there's carts. What was really cool about it, too, is like in the beginning of it, it was like very old school.

01 They had these gates like you're at the racetrack, the horse racetrack. And security's there. And they play Ace of Spades. And they open the gates. And a stampede comes out to go head and toward the stage. And they had smoke everywhere. It was like that was the biggest party event was the opening of it. Crazy. It is crazy. We saw a. Ton of vans on the highway, on the Autobahn last summer, with Wacken signs on their vehicles. We were like, oh, they're going to Wacken. Oh, they're going to Wacken. That was what was great, too. Driving every day to the festival, I had like a half an hour drive, and I was on the Autobahn, so I'm like, oh, it only took me 10 minutes. It's the best.

44 That was actually very much like Warped Tour back in the day. In Ontario, we'd go up to Barrie in Molson Park, and we'd take the one highway, the 400, and you could always see who else was going to Warped Tour because you'd see a mohawk in one van, or you'd see stickers on the van, or you'd just see a foot hanging. Out of the passenger window over here. It was amazing. I love that sense of camaraderie and community. Oh, totally. And I freaked out one day, too, because I was doing Punk Rock Bowling, And I thought maybe I caught the wrong weekend. I got off the plane. And, like, downtown Vegas for punk rock bowling is, like, all punks. And there were all these deadheads. And I'm like, did I come the wrong weekend? Like, why are they? And it was dead and company playing at the Sphere. So there were, Las Vegas was all deadheads and punk rockers.

36 The whole town. What's a deadhead? Grateful Dead. Oh, I don't know. Oh, okay. That's what they're called. Yeah. I didn't know that. And they're the hippies. So now your story. My story. We gave you enough time. Oh, you did. And I totally blanked out on my story. That was a great story that you had. Full circle moment. Was that the question? No, basically the craziest good or bad in your whole musical journey. Rock and roll. It's me joining the band, right? It was the day I met Valerie. There it is. She's lying. Come on, you've got something. Okay, well, we were talking about how you volunteered at Rockfest, and there's some cool people you've met.

20 Actually, I have another one for me, for after. I think right now it's just, like, I've gotten to meet and be friends with so many artists that I grew up, like, obsessing over. And now I, like, have them in my phone and they're my friends. And it's, like, that never, like, that will never get old to me. It's very strange to, like, hang out with someone that you listen to as, like, a child, you know? No doubt. No doubt. It's funny to, like, scroll through my phone, like... Oh, this is funny. I'm totally going to send this to Jarrett from Bowling Horse Zoo. I'll send him a happy birthday or a funny thing. Or a gob. I love harassing Theo. You know, on that same note, what blows my mind all the time, too, is there's times I'll be out in the crowd after I'm done with interviews, and there could be like 50, 100,000 people, and some band member who I'm friendly with comes and he's like, hey, what's up, Pipe Man? And I'm looking, I'm like, who the fuck was that?

18 Happens to me all the time. Right? It's like you're in a different environment. You know who they are, but you can't place it. Well, when you're interviewing a ton of different artists all day and then you're also seeing, watching a ton of different bands and then you know a ton of different people in the crowd too, I imagine that gets overwhelming or daunting perhaps. It's just weird. It's like... You just sit there and go, I know who that is. Oh, fuck. That's who it was. You're talking like full brain fart. Oh, yeah. Totally. All the time. It's rock and roll. Who gives a shit? All the time. Or it's like, I'll sit out with our set, like wear makeup on stage and I'll sit with them and stand with them in GA to watch a set. And I laugh because nobody knows. it's them. You know? It's like, everybody's like, nobody has a clue. Or like, times like, I've hung out with GWAR without their costumes, and I'm just laughing that they'll pull shit that people should know it's GWAR, you know? And they don't know. Like, it's happened during interviews where they're like, hey, hey, Give me to some other media. Give me your Gubby Bears. They sound just like Blothar and Gwar and like nobody knows. I love that part.

28 That's awesome. What's your favorite part about Warped Tour? I like the community. I like that we're all here for punk rock and I mean ska a little bit too, I guess. But that's punk too. Absolutely. I'm just making jokes. I know. Because we all love to rag on ska music, right? Exactly. It's like, if you honk at me, we're starting a ska band and you're in it now. I saw that meme the other day. It was hilarious. I just love the sense of community, though, because it's not very often that, I mean, for us, I guess it is. But when we're going to a concert, you go to like a big, giant punk rock festival where it's all the same kind of, what's the. Word I'm looking for? The scope i don't know um like we play other festivals and there's a whole bunch of different types of bands and they're all amazing but yeah it's fun to play a solely like punk rock uh festival like this it's you know i was thinking about this the other night too though it's it's the warp tour it's not the warped tour festival i was thinking about that what's but anyways um i don't know why i didn't talk about brain farts it's.

28 So iconic it's like the most iconic punk rock, rock and roll festival. I can think of. It's a dream come true to be able to play the only Canadian date that they have. I know, that's pretty cool. That is badass. Okay, so now they're bringing back MySpace too. Fun fact, actually in 2006 I played at the Vans Warped Tour in Barrie, Ontario in the MySpace tent. Nice. You jealous? And is Tom still your friend? What's that? Is Tom still your friend? He would still be in my top eight if my MySpace page wasn't, like, a disaster right now. It's still there. It's just, like, it doesn't load. And I thought that website was dead. But I'm kind of pumped it's coming back.

13 I'm so excited for the high angles again, you know? Like, I'm ready for that. I'm ready to have Tom in my top eight. I'm ready to get rid of Jeffree Star for my top eight. Let me learn some HTML. Yeah. Right? I had my cursor was black with blue electric lightning going around it. I put that HTML in the page. I love it. That's so cool. I feel like the top eight, too, is going to cause a lot of drama in relationships. Oh, my God. I can't wait. I'm sorry. I can't wait. I'm so excited for that. I can't wait to designer ban top eight and kick people off when they piss us off. Oh, my God. Cut from top eight. Nice. Great. That's better than blocking somebody. Yeah. Because when they're removed from the top eight, they know. Absolutely. Absolutely.

54 That band was on Andy Queen's Top 8 last week. Now they're gone. What happened? What's the tea there? We're just like nonchalantly talking shit through our MySpace Top 8. It's great. Oh my God. It is great to be in 2026 talking about MySpace and Warped Tour. You know what? Didn't see that coming. Right? Not on my bingo card. Exactly. But here you are. It's like 2006 again. 20 years later. I know, right? Except I can drink now. True. And we have, like, shade, so we won't get dehydrated and sunstroke. And weed is legal. Yeah. And weed is legal. That's nice. We like that. See? Like, we did have some good things happen in the past 20 years.

36 Yeah, true. And one of those good things is you guys here at Warped Tour. That's so badass. And tell everybody how they can buy your merch and check out all your stuff, because they can't listen to my show unless they buy your merch. Um.. For our merch, cutloose.com. We are part of the Cutloose family. And you can buy our Andy Queen's merch there. And then I believe there's the band camp. You can buy music, I think. I think you can buy hard copy music. Yeah. And then you can order online, too. We're everywhere. Like, for our physical copies of music, you can get through our label, our band camp. You can go to Sunrise.

18 Rough Trade in Europe. We got distribution there. So, yeah. Love it. Send us a message if you have any trouble. On MySpace. On MySpace, on our non-existent MySpace page. I can't wait to set that up. That's going to be so fun. I know, right? I'm just hoping like I turn it on and it's like back the way I had it. And I'll just keep it that way. I hope mine loads to where I left it. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Because it's like the high angle. Photo, I've got black hair in it. And it's, like, in my bathroom. It's so shitty. It's, like, such a terrible quality photo. And, like, I've got that cursor. My username, I hope, is still there. It's a misspelled version of ostrich eggs. I can't wait.

59 Oh, man. It's going to be cool. And you guys are going to rock Warped Tour here. Oh, fuck yeah, bud. You're the best band playing here today. Wow. That is quite the accolade. Thank you. We know. Oh, I like your answer better. I like her answer for sure. You know, I'm kind of jealous that she did that. You know what? We know. Thank you. See, there you go. I would agree. She confirms it. It must be true. Thanks a lot for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. Thanks. Thanks so much for having us. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipe Man on W4CY Radio.

42 Thank you.
