04 Hey, you have then too censure for se Wow crazy you why become America. It's time for the Adventures of Pipe Man on W four c Y dot com. West Pomp Beats, his number one internet radio station. Here's your host, The White Man Dreams Time, dam fallbody level. They call me tra This is pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio and I'm here with Mark. We are nice. You're an aftershock widow seven. I have a video of you from this morning sound checking. Oh really, yeah, I was walking through that through and coming to me and telling you guys are sound checking. I'm like, oh cool, I got to catch your set, but I did get to see you. I love after shot because we have a screen up there and I can actually see the sets that I'm missing. Yeah, that's awesome, because you know how it is. You're an artist. You know there's sets you want to see you can't see them. I'm back here and it's like, damn, I really

34 wanted to go to that set. Oh, you have to do the interview now, okay, go right. And I want to say something too about what we were talking about right before we got on the air, So I lost my blue it flew off and into your dreads. Yeah. Yeah, it was crazy. Like one day I woke up and like this big thing a blue shot in my room and hit my hair and then I gain superpowers. Pipe man. There it is. You got the pipe man powers right there. So if you I can't remember because they all swirl around in my head. Have you played after Shock before? Yeah? So we played one.

15 Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah. I had to feel this time. Oh it was great, Like we had a blast last time, but it was it was special for us this time, especially because people were here to see us. Wow, we did that's cool pop up meet and greet and man, I want to say over two hundred people showed up to that. That's cool. Yeah, And you know, you know what I noticed when I was out there, and as soon as they opened the gates, there were people running to be up at the rail for your show. I was like, that's badass. Yeah that it was insane, man, Like that doesn't always happen, No, So that that's really cool. That's a testament of where you're going and what you're doing. You know. I mean, anybody that hasn't checked you guys out, they need to check your guy out. Guys out, because you've got you're just great freaking musicians and put on a great show. Thank you. What's new going on these days?

07 Since last time we talked that you want to tell the listeners about Actually, uh, do you remember the last time we talked? Fuck, I don't remember yesterday. Somebody asked me, who's the interview yesterday? I'm like, I don't remember. I'll talk your memory. So we had just started the interview a welcome to Rockville. Oh that's right, that's right. Oh my god. Oh I did forget that. Oh that's so Florida. Yeah, oh my god. It seems like forever ago. It's only been a few months, I know, right, I was only in like May. Yeah, man, time does fly. I forgot about that though, right now.

50 As soon as you start saying, I'm like, oh yeah, I've been hold on to it. I can't wait till I see him because I'm going to bring up that story. Oh man. And then you know I was at this festival a few weeks ago that was even worse than that with the weather. You know which one I'm talking about, the one that will go nameless? Yeah? Yeah, the Voldemort festivals. Oh my God, so I gotta tell you a story. Then I was in the middle of an interview and they're like, there was no sign of weather and they're like, you need to evacuate, and I'm looking, I'm like why. And then we're evacuating. I'm going back to camp. And then it started like out of nowhere, way worse storm than Daytona. Yeah, and this band that I'm friends with I was walking by when it happened, Heartsick. They have a canopy over all their equipment. So I run over there and I'm helping them hold down the canopy sixty mile per hour winds. It lifted four of us off the ground good where we're like, screw it, just let go. And then we were holding down their other canopy and getting pelted by hail. It was insane. Sounds like a nightmare, right, And I felt so bad for them because I was like, the equipment being out there, you know, in that shit. But luckily it was working still because you know what they did talk about taking lemons and turning into lemonade heart Sick

21 set up a show that night, and not that night, but a couple of nights later when they actually shut down the whole festival in the campground. They had older equipment. There, three other bands. It was like an old school punk rock show. It was worth it all, like it was a once in a lifetime experience. It was so good that there was another pop up show in the campground that was acoustic with popa roach, shine down. I saw that. I saw that. I prevail. Yeah, they ended it early because this one that I was at was overpowering theirs because they had all equipment. They were just they didn't even have mikes, and so they just came over and watched the show over here. Right. See, Now that's worth all the chaos that happened right there, because how often do you get those kind of chances? Right, Yeah, you know that's that's sick man. So what's going to be going on after after shock? I keep doing that after after shock. I gotta figure a different way of say that. After the after after shock, We're we're going back to the studio where we got some songs that were recording. We got a couple of shows, like a couple of one offs, but the main thing is studio studio, studio. Nice. Yeah, back to we we got a couple of songs already in the chamber ready to release. We're about to come out with

55 a couple more. We just actually came out with a new song last last week. Was that last week? I think it was last week. I don't know. My brain's mush right now, but Wake the Dead go check it out on Spotify, Deezer Apple Music, whatever you got? What's on there? Nice? And is it kind of surrealty? And now after like you know, going through all this time and now like you're like there, you're there people running to the stage for your show and you know, people showing up Like do you like kind of wonder if it's real? Sometimes yeah, it's weird. It is weird. Like on one of the people who showed up to our show, she came from Idaho to see us. Wow.

41 Yeah. Another guy drove from Portland, another guy came from Seattle. A lot of people coming from all around the country to see us. It's insane. Do you even conceive it at when you start performing? No? Right, No, I was like, we have very bad imposter syndrome. Like we're like, oh, I think, are you guys at the right show? Like what's happening right now? Right? What would you say? Has been the craziest story in this journey so far for Widow seven. Oh, Man, I think I think the one that like blows my mind the most is the fact that DWP came into our lives after our first show.

33 Wow, we'd only been a band for six months, and then right before our year together as a band, we'd already played Notfest and then Wow, it's and now you're at like all the DWP festivals. Yeah, it's great. All I can say is I'm grateful. I'm grateful to them, I'm grateful to everybody who listens. Grateful for you for taking the time to interview me. Man, Oh anytime I like you guys are bad ass number one. Number two, You're just a nice, cool dude like there. As you know, there's some people in the industry that are just cool people, and there's others, just like in the real world that are not. You know, so I'm always happy to talk with somebody cool like you. But I also have to say that it is pretty incredible what I hear from artists all the time about DWP and Danny Wimmer and how he treats artists and and kind of almost like, you know, cultivates you because it's like one day you're playing your first show and next thing you know, you're on all these festivals. Yeah. The one thing that I've taken away from Danny Wimmer and Danny Hayes is just treating people with kindness. Wow, That's that's what I've taken away, and that's what I try to live by. The world could use a lot more of that, because there ain't many people like that anymore.

52 Oh my god, It's just it blows my mind, like, just why you have to be assholes? Just be nice? Cares Like, that's the bottom line. Even people I thought were nicer now assholes. Like it's like, it's like now cool to be an asshole. It doesn't take much to be a nice it doesn't take much to be nice, but it takes a whole lot of energy to be an asshole. I know. I think about that. It's like all these people that are being assholes and arguing with people, I'm like, man, like, I don't want to spend that kind of energy nor to How can it be fun to feel like that all the time? Man? Yeah, I was saying another interview, I have a brother who watches news all the time, and I don't you know, because I don't want to fucking hear it, Okay, exact, And all they're doing is try and divide us and piss us off anyway. Yeah, and they'll say, did you hear about this? I'm like, no, I don't really give a shit. It doesn't affect my life. All these people that like sit in front of the news like this stuff affects your life some of it. It doesn't even affect your life, or hating other people for whatever they are, like, they don't even affect your life in any way. So why are you putting so much energy? Like, let everybody.

09 My viewpoint is you do you? Yeah? Exactly, period, mind your business. Yeah. If if you're not intentionally hurting somebody, then who gives a fuck? Be your own person? Yeah, exactly again, mind your business. Right. And that's what's cool about these festivals and metal in general because there there is none of that here. This is my escape from all that shit. Yeah, because I don't see it here. Everybody loves everybody. We're one big family. There's no outsiders. There's nobody saying, oh they look like this, oh they do that, blah blah blah bah. It's just like we're just all here to freaking rock out. Yeah, everybody's here to listen to some badass music like Widow seven. There it is.

56 I love the shirt. Oh yeah, man, look at at Tim Montana. Shout out to that guy. He gave me his shirt for free. Wow, that's a badass shirt. He's a cool dude. It's a real cool dude. Well, you're a cool dude too. Tell everybody how they can connect with you guys on socials. Buy your merch get your music, all that good stuff. So if you want to connect with us on social media, we have Facebook, we have Twitter or x is what it's called now. Hey, we have Instagram, we have the TikTok. Follow us on the TikTok. We post funny shit. If you want to listen to our music, Spotify first and foremost, go on to Spotify. Listen to us, help us get those numbers up so we can be on more badass festivals like Aftershock. Nice and then don't be an asshole. That's that's that's the last night an asshole. And then keep an eye on for new music. Yes, I have one more thing, funniest TikTok. You've done the funniest TikTok. The one that's sticks out the most to me right now is uh there is. So we're in De Moin it's hailing like like golf balls, and our bass player Seth he's filming and yells it's raining, crystal Man, that would actually go over real well. And Sacramento, Oh man, good shit, glad you're hear it after shock. Can't wait to see

30 you again. And everybody needs to check you guys out if they haven't already, because they're missing some good music if they haven't. And thanks for being on the Adventures pipe Man. Of course, of course you heard it from pipe Man. Check it out. This is Mark Leon from Widow seven and you're listening to pipe Man from W four CY Radio.
