04 Hey, you listening too, cents? Sure, I'm come from four see wow you way up up America. It's time for the Adventures of pipe Man on w forcy dot com. West pom Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the Pipeman, catch yall to see. Well, I did it treat you know? Watch God? What God is? She Hess pipe Man here on the Adventure's pipe Man w for c Y Radio and I'm here with What's up? Does that cruise with Budda mush? We saw your good emotion pedro vocals, hectorically bass player nice and you guys just kicked some ass here at rock Olahoma. Man, I was there for your set, man, and you killed it. So how does it feel to be here at Rocklahoma? This is like one of the coolest festivals in the US.
22 Well, it's cool because I was actually born in Oklahoma, really and uh, I hadn't been home to even see my family in twelve years and the last show I played here was nineteen eighty nine. Wow, homecoming, you know, nicey Nice? I love it. This is my third time back and it's awesome. Every time. It's awesome. It is cool, right, Like I go on tour. I do all these different festivals. I was just telling somebody because I just got back from Bloodstock in the UK and download. I'm like, yeah, Europeans have better festivals except this one, because especially the camping, Like there's nothing like the campaign at Rock Clahamma.
04 Even I camp at Rockklahoma because it's so fucking cool. I had to turn down. My neighbors have this school bus out there and they were passing around Moonshine, and they passed to me. I'm like, I gotta go do an interview Voodoo Mooshine. It might have been that's all I'm saying. You know, right, well I have to get You'll have to do like a promo, go over to the bus and do a promo with their moonshine. Yeah, definitely show me that place that sure does. Right right, I'm ready for some moonshine. So tell our listeners that I've never heard you guys before, how you would describe Voodoo Moonshine. I would say, we're just we're a hard rock band. We'd like to kick ass. Yeah, that's a bluesy rock, yes, a rock band, blues groove, swamp boogie kind of swampy. That was cool. That's that that. I'm from Florida, so swamp boogie like that bit fit's in. That's where I live.
07 I left at three thirty am this morning to get here. I left, I left tuesday to get here. There you go. You drove though, right, yeah, Florida. Yeah, we're off from Florida. You're from Georgia, right in Orlando, Georgia. And I left Monday night actually in drove to Atlanta and got in the bus and headed this way. Nice. So you missed the hurricane. What's that? You missed the hurricane? Then hurricane chased me out, chasing me out as I left. It was right on my ass right, it rained all the way up. Get away from it. You watch the trip to me. I was setting up my pent earlier. I told my neighbors, I'm like, I live in Florida.
49 It's fucking hot out here, like, and I don't say that anywhere. You know, there's not as much humidity here though, right, that's for sure. I saw though. I think Sunday it's supposed to be like a one hundred and ten, feel like one hundred and thirty. Thank god, you're not playing on that day, right, yeah, right, I'll be back in Florida. So are you guys gonna see some sets here at Rock Olahoma while you're here? Do you do you have some bands you want to see? Well, they're they're flying Hector and Pedro flying back out tomorrow. We got I think four or five six interviews, so I don't think they're gonna catch anyone other than tonight. I wanted to see Blackstone and maybe Daughtry, but we're heading out too, so I'm probably mess everybody. Yeah, you know, I think people don't realize that they look at musicians and like, oh what a life, you know, and they get to hang out and party and watch all the bands. Head's like what, No, I'm like, I don't know, I don't know. Wake me up when I get there, I know, right, most bands don't even know which place they're at. Half the time. It was funny at blood st it wasn't so fight for Bloodstock. Two bands called it the wrong festival, and big bands they're like, hello Alcatraz, Nope, it's download spinal tap right, somebody else, You're not Cleveland dude, right, And that's exactly what
20 the first one. He was like, hello, Download and like Download and Bloodstock are rivals. You know. It's like yeah and that day like two times, but then said good night Bloodstock. So we're not really sure if he was doing off purpose or not. But hey, listen, when you go around and do what you guys do, like it all just swirls around in your head anyway. You don't even like it's like you can't even remember which places which after time because you're going one to the other. Am I right? Yeah? Like you said sometimes right, were really stands out as when we have a good audience, you know, and usually festivals they are you know, it is a good turnout. Yeah, but we play some festivals. There was this court fields and there's nobody there, right, and that was cool about your set man, first show it to day people are like people at this festival, some of them don't even come in here because they're too busy, parky partying in the campgrounds. But that place was packed for you guys. I walked down. I was like, that's pretty good.
27 I was. I wasn't expected that, you know, being the first band. Yeah, and Thursday night, you know, like some people aren't even here yet. But even compared to last year, out in the campground. There's like ten times more people out there on the Thursday than it was last year. It's like amazing, Yeah you did. Oh yeah. I was walking around watching everybody because I like to see how they're reacting. They were like so into it, which is cool. I love it. So it's better than them throwing shit at us. That's great, I know, right, we don't like that scares us. Oh yeah, So what you guys got going on? After this? We're off? We got two shows at October Fest in Florida. We're headlining. I can't remember the days.
21 And then we got so we're off until October, which is gonna be cool. Nice. I love it. So one story that's like the craziest story that you guys have had in your musical journey. What would it be? I'm not saying that I'm married now, you know. That reminded me of when I interviewed Leonard Skinner and Gary Rossington said when we fucked the Spice Girls backstage. He goes, wait, edit that up. You can't ask a shit like that. We're all married, right, that's right. It all happened before we were married. The crazy shit there you go, So name one story that your wives know about. See we came and go there, Canley, I can. I can tell you a story that happened to me.
24 This is earlier in my career. It was in another original band back in Florida, back end the day, and the place is full. Was this the station? As we're promoting the show for months and uh so it's packed, you know, and we were headlining it. So I go out there, you know, being all cockey. Oh and our crowd's going crazy. The first song that I wrote, I completely blanked out and they play the entire song without me singing one line. Wow because that I just stood there just looking at the crowd, like, what do I do? Seeing now, you gotta do what David Lee Roth did. So I was at the US Festival in nineteen eighty three Van Helen's headline and they're playing they Can't Talk about Love and David's not singing, like, hey, he's looking over him, what's up? And David just said three hundred thousand fucking people, He goes, I fucking forgot the words and they all cheered like it was the best shit ever. It happens right right, Yeah, just do that.
28 And then one person hackled him and you know what he did, right, He goes, I'm gonna fuck your girlfriend, don't heckle David Lee Roth. Right, So give everybody your guys socials web how they can buy your merchant. You got so much cool fucking merchant, your merch boot. I never saw so much merch. It's cool as hell. So sis, boy, she's got it down. She's a beast because I mean, like it was a great and there were a lot of people over there during your set going. You know, usually they'll wait till afterwards. They were over there, like it was pretty busy. But that's the only way you guys survive is merch. Nowadays, you don't get paid ship for anything else. Good smart. We we do our own merch, you know. We it's so much staff shirts paid, you know, someone else to do it. So I bought the heat presses so my wife will be up three in the morning heat press and silk screen and shit, you know stickers. So yeah, our profit margin goes up. It's great, nice because that's the only way we keep you around. And I tell listeners they can't listen to my show, and let's say buy band merch periods, right, Yeah, you need to go to Vooda Moonshan rocks dot com. All the links are on there to our social media, to buy our stuff, to watch our videos.
48 Everything's on there dot com. Any final words you guys want to give our listeners, Yes, our shit by direct by direct, by directly, that's rights having. Well, thanks for being here at Rock Oklahoma and thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. Thank you so much. I just want to say, I just want to say, the crowd here was fucking awesome. I had a great love it. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipe Man. I'm w for CUI Radio.
