04 Y you unto. That's true for sew crazy you. This is pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio, and I'm here. With James Dustin versus me nice. Sometimes I do that on purpose so I don't fuck up the pronunciation of the name. I don't know if I could fuck yours up, but it is possible. You never be able to mess up the spelling. But if people are spelling it right all the time, how exciting is that? Right? And maybe you'll get some better search engine optimization.
48 That's like true, people start finding you from the wrong spelling, or. We make for some silly marquees when they spell it wrong. So we've seen that a couple of times. It's okay, it is what it is. That's happened to like a lot of badma. Isn't that funny? Like you put up a marquee, you would think you would do your research on how to spell. The band name that that's playing. I think they did to the Beatles, even like back in the day where they like spelled. It b e oh yeah yeah shows yeah. So there you go. You're in their company. You're like, who's meat? Tellica? Why are they right here? That would be a good one or Slayer. Oh man, So how is it here.
32 At Louder than Life? This day has been so cool. It's been a lot. We've been on the go since the like early on, but I tell you what, it's been a blast. And seeing a lot of friends that you've played with or we've toured with. It's like a cool, big group gathering of all of your favorite friends from around the industry. And then to top it off, you get to play a super six show where you know everybody's here going crazy. So yeah, it's been a really good time. The crowds are insane even during the day. It's like they should have been out partying all night and sleeping right now. Oh you can tell that they're itching. They're just ready to go, even though it's like noon one o'clock.
12 Oh no, people don't care. They're ready to go. I love that about this. Yeah. People started running right to the rail as soon as the gates opened today, so they were absolutely ready for it. Oh yeah, yeah, the minute it opened up, people took off running like you couldn't get me to run until like afternoon. So you know, people sprinting at ten am. You know that they're ready. They're ready to go, and there isn't even a set till like how long? What's the first set is like eleven something? Yes? Yes, so every yeah yeah. So that's how you can tell everyone's ready to go. It's cool. What were you going to say? I was just gonna say, they're trying to get that rail spot. I love, And I gotta tell you, I don't really get that, like getting the rail for the whole day, Like I wouldn't want to stand in one place for the whole day and with miss the whole festival, I don't give a shit.
58 I was at hell Fest one. Talica was headlining, but Carcass was playing first, so I stood at Carcass, I stood outside watching from Atallica start, and then I made my way up to the front to the rail. You mean to tell me you're not a fan of getting kicked in the back of the head from a crowd surfer for twelve hours of the day, right, you see that happen everyone's on the rail. Yeah, yeah, that's not the place to be. It's safer in the pit than it is up at the rail. That's that is that's a hot take, right. I think about the rest of the day, everybody's pushing, pushing, pushing. By that time, your chest is in the rail and you're like, fuck, I wish I was.
40 Or like if you're in the front of the crowd and this crowd's massive and you're like, I got a pee, you wait till the wall of death opens up and you sprint on the middle so that way you can get through the crowd a little quicker. How fun is that there to run through a wall of death that hasn't started yet, That's what I'm saying. It's like as through six flags, so the bathrooms in it's closing in as through like doors closing behind. You, riding through it like a spartan right right? Oh man? So how for ay of the listeners that have never listened to you? Guys, how would you describe your music? And I don't mean genre, I mean you as the artist. How do you feel your music vibe is?
22 I think a big thing is we do it because we love to do it, and I think it shows in our music. And yeah, it's just we just like to write high energy music that in something and then the rest is just up for other people to interpret. I think the key is the love of the music, because you can tell. I could be out there and I can tell if they're going through the motions or if they're really freaking happy to be here. And why not have fun in this industry because you're in the wrong industry if the music itself is not fun. Absolutely I would agree with that. Right. It's grueling to do it, so you have to be in it because of the love of it. It's definitely tough industry, but it is rewarding, so that's why we're all out here.
09 What do you find the most rewarding thing about being in Arnest? I love seeing like all ages at the shows. A lot of parents come out and they'll say, this is my kid's first concert. They're your favorite group, and you. See him singing along and molding along and you got makes you sit and think you're like, man, those lyrics that we wrote, that melody that we sat and wrote in our room or in our studio, and we hope it's cool and we put it out there and whatever. Once it goes out into the world, it's out of your hands. And to see people picking it up and like resonating with it, I think that's definitely the most rewarding part. It's a trip when you see him singing the lyrics. Well, yeah, when when they're when you're you're halfway across the country or like on the other side of the world or something. And in some cases you'll see people that don't even speak the same language as you and they're right singing the You know what I mean, It's cool.
00 It's a cool thing to see you absolutely. What would your answer to that question be, Like, what is it that is your favorite thing about it? Just writing and releasing music. I probably get the most joy from actually putting stuff out into the world. So the whole creation process, like it's a cool thing, right. Yeah, And I do a lot of the visual stuff too, so I get to kind of like marry the two together. Yeah, that's way cool. So what got what you got going on after later in life or things you need to talk about that people need to look out for. So we are just wrapping up with a two month tour, so Louder than Life being the final stop of this tour, and then once we get home, we've got our newest single, Echoes, coming out on the twenty sixth of September.
49 Night, So we're very excited for that. Once we get back, we're shooting a music video for it and basically just planning out the rest of the year with more music releases. So very cool. And how do people reach out to you on socials on the web? Get your music, get your merch. They can't listen to my show and listenay by your merch. By the way, oh excellent, the only way you're gonna get the gig nowadays. Right, you can catch us everywhere, you know, music sounds anywhere you listen to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, et cetera. But yeah, we're everywhere and we're really accessible. All of us run our socials ourselves, so anytime people message us, we are the ones that respond back. And it's a daunting tasks sometimes, but we do love doing it.
33 And yeah, you get us when you do that. I love it. I love it. So one question I always ask at these festivals is how does Danny Wimmer treat you as an artist? Has Danny Wimmer like take care of you as an artist? It seems pretty great. Yeah, everything has been super accommodating. I open a fridge and there's Coca cola in there is a good day. I don't know, there you go. It's really cool. Like you, we've seen all levels of like preparedness, professionalism and these festivals. This is our first one, but the level of prep work that they do and they make sure that the artist is ready to go the day of, They're super accommodating, all the helping hands, all the emails, the direct everything is like top notch, and it's really easy to just kind of load in and do your thing and not have to worry about any logistics. It's all taken care of and that is a definite, nice, positive thing for a man dream.
31 Right, that's what normally happens, especially at festivals. It's I mean, I can only imagine the logistics that go into making something like that happen, but I can say from our point of view, it's been incredible. It's been incredible. I love it because in sixteen years doing their festivals, I've never heard of artists say anything bad ever. That says something that that means, something that's you know, I'm sure if they didn't have a good experience, somebody would slip up somewhere. But that just goes to show that all of us artists, we love doing these these festivals. If they're incredible. There you go. Is there any final words you want to leave our listeners with that we haven't. Covered already Echos September twenty sixth, we did cover that, but I'm just covered reiterating that new music and we are very excited to release the next thing in the Versus Me universe.
17 And I think we do need to echo that over and over again because I like that. I like that, right right, They have to go check out Echoes, Echoes. Echoes, Echoes, Echoes. Love it, love it. Thank you you, guys, rock thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. Appreciate you, Thank you. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipemin on w for CUI Radio.
