04 Hey you Loveland too, sure from four see Wow, Wake up America. It's time for the Adventures. So pipe Man on W fourcy dot com, whist pom Beaches number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe Man. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio. And I'm here with Samuel Drick Nice. And you know, I walked out into this festival and I saw this line of people and then I saw this booth and I'm like, ooh, what is that and what was it? I think you saw the Thunderflix booth. Oh yeah, that was it. Yeah, Oh my god. And I was listen, we're gonna talk about But I am amazed. You know. Michelle told me about it, and I was like, really, that's right up my alley.

14 And I said that because I told her about And sometimes think I told you that. I normally watched to Be and to Be has music documentaries, but it's only a few, and then it's mixed in with everything freaking else, and I'm like, I'm such a metal head and a punk that I want some channel that has it all and all the stuff that isn't anywhere because it's way back there. Like I said, you probably have this on there, but I have a VHS tape. I won't get rid of it. I don't play it anymore, but it's of the live Slayer Exodus Venom show and I was at that show, but I have the VCR tape, and so rare stuff like that is what I notice we're gonna find on your platform.

08 So let's talk more about your platform from your perspective. Of course. Well, thank you for you know, checking us out at the This is the first time we're doing something like this. But yeah, I mean, we launched Thunderflix a few months ago with the idea of having a channel just like Netflix or HBO Plus, but just heavy metal, a place where one can go and watch all these heavy metal content on HD without advertising, without promotion of Taylor Swift or pgs or anything else. It's just because I don't want to watch it, right. We just want to be in a channel where everything is heavy metal, from thrash metal to death metal, black metal, symphonic metal, everything in between, and only for six sixty six a month, so we are. People can download the app on on their iPhones or on Apple TB on Rocker or their Samsung TVs and just watch as much as they want. And you know, we everything we have, all the content we have is provided by music labels, by film distributors, by production companies, even bands themselves that they own their content, they're giving it to us. You know, some things are on YouTube, not everything, but we provide higher resolution and we have no advertising, and we actually pay the bands a good amount of money, much more than more YouTube. That's more important to me, right then. Much much of the stuff it's not available anywhere because even the labels are saying, we can't find this video and digital,

39 so they're giving us their DVD and we are actually grabbing the video on the audio out of that DBD. We are enhancing them in four K and putting it on Tounderflix. There's nowhere else you can find that stuff as so incredible. I mean, like I would prob watched that twenty four seven forgettas Netflix step aside. I just want to watch this like one of my favorites. I would want to watch that. You showed me Murder in the front Row. Oh what a film. I live that life like that. That's like watching home movies to be right, you know, so because I was in la in the height of the metal scene, and I was at the first Slayer of Metallica shows before they went to the Bay Area. And then they left us and went to a Bay area and left us with Air Metal.

32 So me and my bro used to hop on the Greyhound up to the Bay Area to the real frash shows, which is what you see in Murder in the front row right. Yes, So to me that brings back like warm, fuzzy memories. And that's what's cool about it too, is like you have stuff on there for all of us metal heads that it brings us back to a time that is like so nostalgic. Yeah, And you know, well we watch all these documentaries and stuff. There's also all this new stuff that is keep coming out, like in the last few months. Well for all it's brand new. We just uploaded a film called Total Thrash and it's a documentary about the German thrash. So whatever was happening in San Francisco Bay area a few years later in dorth Month in Germany, you had Sodom Creator, you had Destruction, you have tank Card and you can hear from the bands what was going on in their side of the world with rash right, So there's all this stuff keep coming, and that's that's what it's amazing.

42 A lot of people are asking, do you have enough content? I'm like, every Friday we upload two to four films, and all the bands are traveling with video cameras, and all these documentaries keep popping up, all these concerts keep happening, so there's no shortage of content for us. I love it. And then you know, to watch a shitty, you know, hijacked version of it that somebody might have taped on their phone or some crap. It's the real deal, right, yes, and listen. I am so happy you said you pay the artist, because artists are getting so screwed nowadays. So it's great to hear somebody train them the way they should be because they work very hard and they deserve to get paid. You know, when I started planning on Thunderflix and I heard off Spotify, I was really pissed off because I heard how much money they were getting, and then I saw Amazon Prime and how much little they're paying. So we decided to pay the artists. We pay them in a way of perview, so the more people watch the video, the more they get paid. But also even if people don't watch their video, they get paid nice. So there's a percentage that goes towards that and a percentage that goes towards the video watched.

57 So we're paying the labels and we're paying again if the artist owns their own stuff, we're paying the artist, and then we're paying the distributor or the production company or whoever gives us the video, we pay them. You're doing the right way. That's thank you. We're trying to make this happen for everyone. So what do you see in the future for your organization? Yeah, so we just launched four months ago, so we're building. We're very happy. In four months, we already crossed the goal we set for the end of the year. So we want to get to an amount where we can start producing our own content because there's so much stories in heavy metal.

44 There's so much stuff that we want to tell that no one else is going to tell it to us, right, I mean, it was fun to see that Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson's story, but like that, there's hundreds of stories that metal heads. It's our stories we want to tell, we want to see on screen, So we are counting on being big enough to produce these stories. When we get to that, then we're going to reach the million subscriber mark. I love it. And you know, you also have like live concerts, which is great for the people that especially if you have older ones where the people aren't even old enough, they get to see some like iconic concert or something like that. I think that's pretty amazing.

26 Yep, you know it's special. There's it's very new to see like symphonic bands playing with the symphonic orchestras playing with heavy metal bands. Right, we're seeing them now. But in the eighties Scorpions do that. Yeah. I didn't even know, but we got it for Thunderflix and I was watching. I was mesmerized. I'm like, oh my god, in the eighties there's Scorpions playing this metal show with a symphony, the Berlin Orchestra, and it's an amazing show. And you can watch that now on Thunderflix. How amazing is that? It's totally amazing. You know, it's funny you should say that because what popped in my head. People think it's a new thing. Listen to sex pistols did it too? Did you know that? No?

09 Yeah, they played with an orchestra sis. Yeah believe that. I have no idea. Wow, I need to research that. Yeah, I want to watch that, right. Yeah, it's pretty wild. I think that's where it started, that a lot of these bands got the idea to do it. Wow. You know it's so powerful man. I mean Metallica has done it twice. Yeah, and Epica and Mission of Atlantist and Septic Flesh did it in Mexico City, and you know there's Loss did it and Satyricon did it so many. You know what I love about that is people don't realize but Metallica is actually a derivative of classical music. People don't realize that, so it does make sense to have a symphony or an orchestra with it, right. Yeah, well so there. It is very enjoyable for sure.

01 So what else would you want the listeners to know about your platform? And you know why they should get involved and all that good stuff. Yeah, I mean it's it's an opportunity to not only watch Netflix and HBO, but have a channel where you're clicking and you're immediately in a heavy metal world and every Friday, we're gonna get your new content and you're gonna only get to know new metal bands because sometimes, you know, we're used to the same ones. Some people say, oh, how cool is Spotify recommends, right, because you get to hear new things. But also on Wonderfullix, you're going to be able to discover new stuffy and then you'll be supporting bands and getting all this amazing content on their TV and watching documentaries and feature films and all in the world of heavy metal. There it is. And you know it's interesting too, because when you were showing it to me, the first thing I thought of is, wow, this is user friendly, because like, I'm not a big fan of Hulu because I can't really find crap on there, so I'll go on there for something. I know, I'm specifically going for Amazon Prime, same thing, you know. I mean, I go on there. I'm like, it's too much work, I went I you were showing me yours. I'm looking at him like, man, that anybody could use this and find exactly what they want to watch. Wow,

31 thank you? Yeah, I mean, and we just lounge. There's so much more to come. So yeah, we don't have for example, Corn, we don't have Slayer, but we have other stuff. So but you know, I do think that anyone can watch a lot of the stuff there if you don't like, you know, some bands you made like the others. But in due time, we're gonna have a lot of stuff. So then the bands like Slayer will fall in line. They'll be like witnessed out yest. Little by little, everyone is coming, it's joining. What else would you like them to know that we haven't covered already? Oh? Maybe that this is worldwide? You know, this is it's amazing for me when I see the subscribers coming in, people coming from Brazil and Japan, and we're everywhere in the world except Russia. Those guys, Yeah, there you go. But yeah, we don't want to give them that shot.

30 And so tell everybody how they can reach out to you connect and subsc I mean, follow us on Instagram and Facebook and download our app on your phone and on your streaming device, and yeah, check out Thunderflix. Amazing when amazing, Like I can't believe even thoughts and implement because it should have been out already and now you've done it. And I think this is gonna be bigger than Netflix. That's my opinion. Oh I hope, so so thank you for being here at Bloodstock and thanks for being on the Adventures of plate Man. Amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of plate Man. I'm W four CUI Radio.
