04 Hey, you have then too censure. See Wow, crazy Young. Why Become of America. It's time for the Adventures of White Man on W four C why dot Com. West pomp Beach is number one Internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe Man, like. The usual Toom and Cool.

57 The Two's white Man here on the Adventures Right Man W four CY Radio and I'm here with. Lee Chinnings from the funeral portrait. Nice here at louder oh, louder than life. Hey, don't forget the rain. Ugh it's rainier than life, rainier than life, windier than life. Yeah, well, thank god the wind is not here today, yes, and it's just sprinkling, So we'll be just fine. I know, like at least if they're gonna pick one day for it to have a hurricane, it's not the day that your set is. Yes, completely. We bared the storm yesterday to drive up here from Atlanta, and it was a little crazy.

38 We just recently bought an RV as well. We're making the steps and as I'm driving this thing, I'm like, oh, guys, god, because it was just I mean, that wind was a little crazy. But I gotta say that's as frickin' rock and roll. As you get driving through a hurricane to get to a festival. That's you know, nothing stopping this train. Oh, I love it. Was it your first time? Whoever was driving, was it their first time drive in the RV? Thankfully? No, But it was my first time driving an RV through a hurricane? Yeah, there you go, and where they're like times like it felt like you were surfing on the way here. Oh oh definitely when and a little white knuckle action. You know, you're just holding on for dear life, you know, and you know, but hey, we got here.

21 Oh and you're gonna you're here at Louder than Life, And I know, what does it feel like now that you. Got through that shit? It's you know, it's it's kind of wild to even think of being here. You know, we've we've dreamed of playing these festivals and doing all this and the idea. I think it kind of helps the lore a little bit more that you know that we are. We had to go through this crazy storm to get here. You know, it just helps it helps the process. Yeah, and then you just kill it. And that's so. Tell me about the new album, cuz man, you have like so many guests on there, and I'm like, holy shit, that person too, Holy shit that person too. Like yeah, it's like everybody's like, can I be on your album?

06 I know. Well, it's kind of crazy because we originally were gonna have a few more too, and we were like, let's just let's hold him off. Let's hold him off, you. Know, and we maybe have a deluxe edition that will have even more, you know, but you know, for us, we just wanted people that were fun entertaining different voices too. I didn't want the same singer every time. So you know, we we have Spencer from My Sign Kills, you know, and he's on toff Case City, you know, the title track. And then we have Burt from The Used, which that was when I got that phone call. I mean I bawled my eyes out. You know, because I grew up listening to The Used, you know, and that's that's one of my biggest inspirations, and the idea of hearing, oh my god, you know, Bert's gonna sing on your song with you. I it was crazy. That was a crazy moment.

46 And then we have Danny from Ask Alexandria, and then we have Eve under Fire as well, and that was really cool because we really I really wanted a female voice on our song Shoes one I was when I reached out to her and she instantly responded to said yes. I was like, yes, yes, let's go because I love her voice so much. Oh she's badass. I just saw her at Rockklahoma. She's a badass, so good. So when I saw those names, I'm like, and they are, like you're saying, they're like different types of singers, yes, you know, and Spencer's totally cool. He's one type of thing. And then I think Eva's on another end, oh. Completely completely well, And that's that's the thing is they're all kind of modern. You know, Bert you know, has been doing it forever, but they stay so relevant so modern.

31 That was something I really wanted. Is I wanted it to be like the stuff that we listen to growing up or or you know, all these all these different things moving around, you know. And I was very I feel very honored, to say the least, that we got all of them to be a part of our world and our and our record. I would have been like, holy shit, Like am I even alive right now? Is this a dream? I know? I know, it's it's wild. But especially the Used. Okay, yeah, like there's still I've seen them a couple of times in the past couple of years and they're still fucking badass. Oh I know. Well, and they the thing is, they release records like nobody's business too, because they just keep releasing songs and records and songs. And to be honest, some of my favorite stuff from the Used is some of the newer stuff.

15 And it's just they stay relevant, they stay. Real, you know. And talking with Bert, you know, I got to I got to talk with him a little bit before he did the song, you know, and it was it was such a cool moment to to just have a one on one with quote an idol. Right and then okay, so my photographer she's out there somewhere. She's gonna be bummed that she wasn't here because she is a Bucky's fanatic. Oh okay, and the hoodie you're wearing. Not just the hoodie. Just wait, just wait, you're ready one second? All right, let's see. It's oh my god, it's me as Bucky. So guess what.

57 We sell those shirts and you can get them here at the festival, yes, yes. And if people are listening after the festival. Can they still buy it on your merch store? Not yet. We it's a it's a tour exclusive, you know. We we like to keep a little bit of the funnier. You know, you don't want to get in trouble, get sued, and then you know, I don't want to keep that online, so you know, we we we keep the the parody shirts to the shows. So have you seen some of the Slayer parody shirts? Oh? My god, yes, insane stuff. Do you know what I saw from Slayer? This just reminded me. We were at a we were in Austin, Texas, and there's like a big rock memorabilia store and there's a Slayer like carved in like latex like so so for like horror makeup, so you could like like stick it on your arm or your head or something. I thought it was one of the funniest I was the merch I've ever seen.

50 I would have done that just to be funny. Yeah, I mean, but I was at riot Fest last weekend and there was an empan on a food truck and they had I have a picture of it. They don't get or they didn't have my side. They had a shirt that was their you know, food truck name in the layer. I love that. I love that. I love that so much. And then my photographer, she loves no effects, so she got no effects made. I saw that because no effects had like their own world of merch. Yeah, like they had like no effects had their own section of like the venue or whatever it is the festival. I thought that was such a cool idea, such a cool way because I so I grew up loving no effects, right. I love the more punk side of the rock music. Right, I'm a big fan of pop punk punk. So for me growing up, you know, in two thousand and four, when you know, going through the Bush administration and you know, or earlier on in that, you know, and and all that kind of stuff, you know, and their stance you know, they're not my president shirt yea and all that because I love band merch that Ali Yes, so dude, every honestly every president ever.

58 So I mean think about too. Okay. So I was from the eighties, yes, and we had songs about Reagan. If you in twenty twenty four put somebody else's hump's name in there, yeah, it'd be the same song. You don't need a new song, no, It just blows my mind. All these years later, we're still have to talk about this show always. But I don't think, but I think that's that is almost like an American way of passage almost now, especially with music, you know. I think I think complaining about the government, no matter which side it is, is kind of part of part of this. I think.

38 I just think it's part of it, you know. And I you know, we're we're very like non political band, you know, but we are a quote I like to be. I love my friends, I love my family. I love the people that we stand for. And the way that we do that is through charity. We do a lot of charity events. We do a lot of charity merch and songs. We even did a cover of Creep by Radiohead and we gave all this about it and we gave all the proceeds to the Hot Topic Foundation, and that was like, and that helps with keeping music in school, you know. Uh, it helps with like the. Trevor Project and a bunch of things that I grew up just really feeling like I needed and now that I can kind of give back, it's it's. Just really cool to see that is way cool. I love it. Thank you and you're gonna be an after shock too. Yes we are.

19 Oh have you been after shock? We have not, We've This is our first Spanish Danny Whimmer. Yeah, it's our first one. Okay, So I'm gonna ask you because through all the years I've done these shows, I've asked pretty much every artist what they think of how they're treated at Danny Wimmer Festival. You know, we just got here like an hour ago, and I can tell you it's way better than any other festival we've ever just an hour, oh a, just an hour and and just how friendly and nice and caring. And you know that's what's really cool about this is people love their jobs here and you can tell. You can tell that they like rock music. They like being here, they like the team that they work with, and you know that's that's important. You know, that's that's half the best, right Yeah?

00 And for us, Yeah, it's raining, and yeah the fans are you know, gonna be upset that it's raining or whatever, but they they're doing everything they can. I see them out here doing every single thing they can to help, right. And I you know, like I love it here and again because it's like it doesn't matter what artists you are at the festival, they treat you like you're the headliner. Yep, completely, It's unbelievable. Well I can't wait to see it Aftershock two. Yes, hear it, Louder in life, you know it. And thanks for being on the Adventures day right mass so much for having me my pleasure. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of fight Man on w for CUI Radio.
