On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is joined by the band Futurebirds. The conversation takes a humorous turn as they discuss a recent incident with a redneck audience member who sprayed everyone. The group talks about how incidents like these are not uncommon in the music industry, and they joke about past incidents involving scat play and defecation on drum sets. As the interview progresses, the conversation shifts to the topic of boring interviews and how they can be made more interesting. The Aquadolls, members of the band, express their frustration with being asked the same generic questions about their genre repeatedly. They emphasize that the interviews should be fun and engaging, with unique and thought-provoking questions. Pipeman agrees, sharing his experience with interviews at festivals where bands are asked the same mundane questions. The group continues to joke and have fun, discussing how some band names can be difficult to pronounce, and how they enjoyed hearing the Aquadolls say their band name in a cool way. Pipeman shares his experience with Jack Black, who tested his singing abilities during an interview. If you want to find out more about the Aquadolls, and see their tour dates, merch, social media and streaming information, you can head straight to Aquadolls website over at www.theaquadolls.com

00 Hey, you love them too, that's sure. I'm for see why for you Wake up America. It's time for the adventure. So Pipeman on W four C why dot com West Palm Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the white Man. Ye mean pool please book stopping.

57 This is the pipe man here on the Adventure. Spike Man W poor C buy radio, and I'm here with the apudis. See that's why I do that. That's so much better than me saying it. So here you are at shaking knees and you're gonna be performing. Is so exciting because you guys are badass. Thank you, thank you. We are stoked to be here. Nice. And so let's tell the listeners who have never heard of you or heard you what you guys are all about. We're all about good times, rock and roll, having fun, letting loose, crean, safe spaces for anyone just have fun, be themselves and just have a good time.

41 Nice. I want to focus on that safe spaces because that is a cool comment because it is true, like I find that music festivals are the one place where everybody is included and there is no bullshit. Well there's some absolutely, but you know, that's the rare part. Like even you know, I do a lot of festivals, and you know, I do a lot of metal and punk festivals, and people are like, oh, that's so scary. I'm like, you're clueless. Go to a metal or punk festival and you'll see it's a lot less scary than country festival. You will see you'll see babies in battle vests at metal festivals with their giant headphones on.

25 That's that's the best part is like families come to festivals. They they it's it's a group environment and we're here for everyone from the womb to the tomb, and nobody's an outcast because we're all outcasts exactly. So people look out for each other too, more at likes because there's like crowd courtesy off like you crowd sir. Someone goes down, you pick them up. If someone looks like they need a little hub and give them some water. You know, you look out for each other and it's all got a sense of community and look for family. We're like family. And you know it's funny out A funny story you'll dig is that one time I had two festivals in one weekend. I had to cover. Obviously, I can't make it to both, so I had somebody work for me. I'm like, listen, I want you to cover this festival. And she was a country girl. She had never been to a medal or a punk festival or rock festival even and I said, and she was like all scared. I'm like, you don't get it. Okay. First of all, the mosh pit ain't about fighting.

27 Okay, nobody's fighting in there except assholes, and we get rid of the assholes. Get yeah, oh, I'm the type like, I'm not that big. If I see an asshole. Usually the assholes are the big dudes. I think they're all macho me. I'll squirrel through the pit and come. They won't even see what's coming. I'll take them out with elbow because they're being an asshole. I had to take a pretty large older man off of like eighteen year old out during Modest Mouse. It was pretty scary. He was he could have killed the kid. And they're about three of us. Had to rip this like sixty year old off this eighteen year old. It was absolutely ridiculous. And then his daughter yelled at me for because he thought he was my friend and I was like, I don't know him.

10 I'm just trying to save him because you're wants to kill him, just a modest mouse. And then all these moms around me were like, this is a joke, you know, because it's like, that's not why we're here. And now it's eighteen year old, and now you're just teaching him, this kid to do what you just did. And exactly that didn't do anything, It didn't solve anything. It just made everybody around you a highly uncomfortable and now we feel like we're unsafe around you. Wow. Yeah, trying to watch music exactly, have fun, beat together, get away from all the crap we gotta deal with outside these walls, exactly. You know, I don't get it. So yeah, I said there, I'm like, listen, you go to these country festivals and there's a bunch of rednecks getting drunk and getting into fights. There are no fights usually a metal or punk festival. If it is, it's because of an asshole you were just t welcome about, you know. And so I said, here's what's gonna happen. You'll go, You'll probably have a bunch of new friends, you'll have the time of your life. You might even meet a guy or whatever.

10 So she comes back after the weekend. She's like, oh my god, you were right, Like it was so cool. Everybody was so cool. And I got a bunch of these new friends, and I have a new boyfriend now and that she's married, right, And I'm like, and that that's funny because I there was a marriage at one of the metal festivals I did that. Yeah, they got they specifically got married at the festival. It was so cool, right, So yeah, and then she's like, and I have this new favorite band. They're called Bring Me the Horizon. That was one of my first mohmans when I was fourteen. Nice.

53 Nice. That's the only band, Like I've been interviewed like over two thousand bands. There's like only a couple bands, and they're one of them that I interviewed that I was fanboying while I was interview and I'm like, I can't believe I'm interviewing Bring Me to Rise. And in my head while I'm talking to them, cool shit though, Like they're cool shit. But yeah, I was like I was laughing. I'm like, yeah, I think I've heard of them, maybe heard a song or two. Yeah, no doubt. When no doubt. So you guys gotta go on tour with them, then, yeah, it could be the we will never sleep because sleep is for the week tour. I love that. That's great that it's it. So are we gonna have some cool stuff today at shaking knees from you guys? Absolutely, we are going to bring the fire pun intended because our first song is called Burn, Baby Burn, but we're hoping to just bring the energy. We're going to be a really good appetizer for Fiddler Warm, the crown up Fiddler. You know what's funny about that? They were the appetizer for you because they're an interview I did before you. That's wow.

02 You just miss them too, not pictured Jackie showing off her sick ass fiddler sticking poke on her shoulder. Nice. So maybe we'll have to do is. I'll have to send their publicists. I'll be like, listen, in the interview I did after you, guys, they had a fidd lar tattoo. So you need to take them on tour with you, please? Yeah, that's it. And if you knew me, I don't just say shit like that, I would actually do it. You should. I will do it. I am that I do that. If they were in here, I would do it like I'd pull them over. I've done that before.

45 Every everyone we see, we're making sure that they are made aware of it because we're on a mission today and it's the get Aquadoles on a show slash tour with Fiddler mission. All right, well, let's make that happen. Yes, recruiting actively, what's happening. Let's secure this, let's do it. So what are we gonna do after shaking nis a whole tour? Right now, we're on our Springfling tour. I like the way that's called thank you. It's a party for sure. We're out until June fourth, and we're gonna be in Nashville tomorrow and then going all the way out from New York back to California where homes so nice. Yeah, and our album is gonna be out on the second or third June second, So at the end of the tour we have an album coming out, So keep your eye out on your ears as well. What's the name of the new album? Charms?

39 Yes, you know what I thought of immediately when I saw that, I thought it a TV show. Yeah, like the I mean, it's like, there's the vibes. Their vibes are there, so like three badass, which is addressing, cool, sisterhood, magic, nostalgia. Love it that describes you, guys perfectly. She's speechless, She's like speechless dog. So one story, good or bad that you've experienced in this whole music experience, what would you share? She's the bad girl over there, she's our president, She's our president resident. Bad girl is Jackie. While I'm honored to thank you, we love her, we love it a bad one.

39 I'm trying to think, like I mean, we have so many to pick, so many experiences to pick out of this bottomless hat. I don't even know. I mean, I'm just thinking of the door knob falling off. Last week, That sounds interesting. We got we got a rental van for our tour, and we were doing a load out. And well, ever since the day we picked up that rental van, that sliding backdoor, we just we had some trouble with it. We kind of have to finish with it quite a bit to get it open. And one night after a load out, it's already like midnight. We're all tired, we're just trying to go home. I was feeling a lot under the weather, and I'm just like, I'm just trying to get out of here, and all I'm trying to do is open this door, and it wasn't moving, and I like kind of put my whole weight into it and I put my foot into it, and all of a sudden, I fly backwards and then the door knob like flies across the parking lot and I'm like on my butt and I'm like, ah, the dog. Oh, we have to like use the front and like kind of jimmy it opened through, get us all in the back.

50 Yeah. Every bad thing that I can think of just has to do with like the van, Like like one time we had one that like the break didn't work. We've had one where that makes it difficult to stop at your shows absolutely, yeah, yeah, or down or in the Pacific Northwest. Oh yeah, doors getting jammed till lights are being out. Yeah, no foot space. A lot of van stuff, but thankfully lots of other things are pretty positive. So maybe we'll get to the level where we can teleport places. Do you guys want to hear fiddlers? Yes, it was about they were at some festival or something and a girl was on top of an RV and just started taking a ship off the RV and everybody was looking up or a ship lying. Now, mmm, sometimes you gotta go.

52 If you gotta go, you gotta go. Well, you know, if you had to go with that bad I know, right, maybe she was just up there party, who knows. Maybe it was the festival special gust. Yeah, maybe they were like related to guar or something like that makes sense then, right, or or actually it's not an uncommon theme because I told them. Three other times I've had a story about shit, but usually it's the artists. And three times I've had the artists say that they shipped their pants on stage. I definitely have tinkled a little, a little, A little bit of comes out always Okay, So now I'm gonna have to double up something else I said before, because did you see the news?

41 I was at this festival where the chick peas and I was there. I was like as close as I am to you, and I saw it coming. I was like, I'm out of here. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. Did you see that? Did you see that redneck idiot? Though? Like he got up, he was so thrilled, he got up and shook like a dog. And then sprayed the audience because he had in his mouth and he sprayed the Yep. I was like, oh god, I think my uncle might have been the lawyer for like the person that who would she be on the dude from the audience with some redneck dude.

24 It might have been there was a different I think it was like a different incident with pleasu stoat or in the app. Yeah, there's always an incident, yeah in this industry. Yeahs incident, a pissident. I mean it all started. I think way back when in the sixties when Keith Moon, the drummer for the who used to shoot on his drum set and then and then somebody would eat it. Scott play Yep. It's nothing new up. But actually did have to do I had to do a report in that class about Keith. You had to do a report on Scott oh Man good ship. See did you expect this? Saying interview? Did you expect this?

13 In an interview like press is usually boring? Thank you for asking an interesting question, thank you. It needs to be this way. It's like interviews like they're just talking and meeting and sharing stories, and that's that's the way it should be. I always say that, because listen, I'll be at festivals and they'll be like thirty interviews a bandaldoon. It'll get the same stupid question that's already on Wikipedia. Don't ask if it's on Wikipedia, why are you asking the question? Literally what I say, I say if you can freaking google it. If you are asking us describe your genre, listen to us. Listen to I don't even like the word. I don't want to describe it. How many times do I have to say mermaid rock and then you go, what's that? Listen to it and you will find out.

56 I'm not trying to be bitchy. I'm so sorry. I'm really passionate about this subject because I'm like, yeah, there's only so many times thing. I don't think this is a bad thing because it then it makes the interview or yes, interviewer, interviewer, interviewer, you're the interviewe on the interviewer. It makes a redundant for the listener and the fans to like they're exactly makes it more fun for you too. No, no, how many times do you think Fiddler has had to say fucking dog likes to risk in an interview? Well? Now, well, now, I did. I never do band names, but I wanted them to say it because I knew they would say it cooler than me. So they did. I said, do me a favor, just say it like what the acronym is. And but the way they said it was so freaking cool that was worth it.

43 Create it for us. It was like, I can't. They did it too well. They just try, just try. You put me on the spot here. You know who else has put me on the spot? Jack? He just I could send you a video. I was interviewing him and he starts singing a Black Sabbath song and he would sing one line and he would can oh yeah, and I'm like, and I'm not a singer, so I'm like yeah. And afterwards he started laughing. He's like, man, I was trying to get your singing wins s. He's our he's our idol. Oh my god, he's the funniest motherfucker there is. And he's just like that in real life, Like he's so cool. I have a shirt that I brought on tour. It's my comfy shirt and it says, sometimes when you are a man, you have to wear stretchy pants. And it's from natural Libre, because that is the movie I grew up watching, and I thought that he was Mexican my whole life, because I was like, he's a white Mexican. I'm a white Mexican, Like we're buddy.

03 Nope, he is not, Like he's just like me. That's so funny. I love it. I love that guy in the world. He's like the funniest person ever. And it's not an act. That's who he is. That's like who he is in person. And that's why digun artists are like that. They're just like the same person in real life, you know. And it's just like you guys, You guys are magical. We're actually acting. We're all we're all Despians, actually accredited to high school or we we actually scripted this entire thing before we got here. Yes, absolutely, and I sent you to notes for it. Yes, that's true. We're in the Google drive that's private that no one else can see. Yeah, I love it. See. I love when I have also interviews at play along too, because you know, I've had some reviews that you try to be like this and they're like all serious and like, dude, you're a musician. You're not supposed to be serious. Okay, come on, chill out. This is all a joke exactly. And I my viewpoint why I interviewed the way I do is like I think of if I was on the other side, I'd be like, fuck this, like this is the worst part of the job, man like, and then you're going around to thirty different people and the same boring ship. So when did you form and how did you get your band name? Is there anything your listeners would like to know that I okay, I don't want to be rude, protuches or anything

37 like to like, but when that happened, I literally want to throw something. Okay, I have I'm gonna give you a tool for next time it happens. So, so I was interviewing a band, which band name drop? So you don't have to I will, I will, okay, And I told him before the interview, I was like, listen, don't ask stupid questions like how you get your band name blah blah blah. And they're like, well, you're lucky because you see that girl over there, the last one we just did the interview with. Let me tell you what what we did. So what we do is we make up a different story every time somebody asked us that, and we just want to see the horror on their face. So band name is August. Burns read oh yes, And so they told us and it was a friend of mine and they're like, yeah, we'll see. We were teenagers and you know, my sister, she got this dog and we named it August, and we were partying one day and we just decided it would be funny to light the dog on fire, watch it run down the street, and ergo. August Burns read oh, okay. So there, now you have tool fuck with people. That's what you need to do. We're gonna try and find as many stories that

07 you could put Aquadals into a We're gonna you know what you could do that waterboard people. I'll tell you I got a good one you could do. Okay. One of my daughters, her claim the fame with her dad is that her dad used to play lesbian barbies with her because she wanted to play lesbian barbies. Love it? Okay, So that could be your new thing, Like, how do you end up with the dad named Aquadals? Well, my dad was playing lesbian barbies with me and and it was a mermaid tail yeah, you just have to feast. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's nothing right, totally just like oh yeah. Well one day, like my dad and I were playing lesbian barbies and and one of them had this mermaid tail and it was just so prolific, this mermaid tail just like just gloss over it. It's okay, And it was just it was a really beautiful moment because I was like, oh my god, she's so good.

10 Actors, she is so good. That was so good. Oh I love it. Let's tell everybody how to connect you on socials on the web, get your music, buy merch because they can't listen to my show if they don't buy your merch. 22:45 feet of them to make them webbed so they were water people. So I mean, I guess that's an aquadal right there, You go sick. That's what you could sell, Just like, buy a bunch of dolls, chew on their feet and you could put on it chewed on by the aqua dolls. Interview. I'll just pull it on and as you're telling the story, I just like, slightly I'm snacking on the dolls, no doubt. Oh man, great stuff. Love it, Love you guys, you guys are awesome and everybody's got to buy your merchant. I can't listen to my show or they can't period it literally will. I could be from Boston if you need me to be well, I'm from New York and New Jersey, so it wouldn't be good to be from Boston. Tough guy. I'm actually from there and from LA I grew up in both places. I grew up on the Sunset Strip in the eighties. That's so tight. Obviously have stories we want to hear. Mom. How much time we have. We don't have a lot because I have other interviews, but we could do it again. But I could tell you about, like, you know, hanging out with Belinda Carlisle and her being a total hardcore punk rocker before the Go Gos contain popular, was it the Germs? No, Belinda Belinda? Yeah, they were The

17 Go Gos were hardcore punk before they got pop. Yeah, like when they first started, like they were hardcore punk. They just started music because they want to party and get laid. Quote. That's a quote. One of them played. Who who drummed in the germs for a while. It might have been Jane. She might have someone drummed in the germs for a hot second. Someone I don't know. If you like Belinda Carlisle, you should check her set out. We might have a little surprise for you. And oh yeah, that's true. A little look at that. Look at that. I snapped that in there. What's it called a bak patient a vacation?
