04 Hey, you have done to censure. I'm for see wow for you young whyke. Up America, It's time for the Adventures of Pipeman on W four C why dot Com with Pompeas is number one Internet radio station. Here's your host, the Pipe Man. I can audi. Anything that you want me to. Your dream Jacks are doing by Yes the Red one Sadder.
45 Now I'm alone and. I'm alone again. Come in the end. This is the Pipe Man here on the Adventures Pipe Man W four CY Radio. And I'm here with. My name is Jackson Rumors from Straight Chack and thank you for having us. I'm Fabian Angel, I'm Nate Mangled Nice here at after Shock. We are at after Shock. How you like after Shock? I am having a really good time at after Shock. It's pretty cool, right, And. The technical difficulties that we had during our set.
26 That's never fun. But sometimes it can't be helped, right. You know, controllables but no really though, Like we have some family out here, we have some friends, we have some girlfriends, like, so it's a blast to have everyone together getting to watch us play. And you know, even though you had tech difficulties, did it kind of shock you at first? Aida festival early, so many people were out there to see you. Yeah. Actually, I wasn't sure what to expect. It is really early, and I'm one that loves to sleep in, you know, I want to love to love napping and whatnot. And so right we were done with sound check, I saw a couple hundred people in the crowd.
07 I was like, Oh, this is amazing. This is exactly what we need in. And the best part about it is that they were all into it, you know, like I saw these people cheering us on, like pushing each other like it was a great time. For sure. That's very cool. And that's one thing I find about to Danny Wimmer festivals is like the people that come and they're at your set. They might not even know you, but they're into it. Posted like other festivals where it's like if I don't know them or I don't like them, forget it. But people are really here to support all the bands. Yeah. No, that that's a beautiful thing, you. Know, And it's the way it should be, right because that's the way I find my most favorite bands is not the headliners, but the people playing at the festivals, Like slip Knot's Gonna be playing tomorrow night. I saw them third stage Odds Fest first time, like gesz.
57 So so nice. That's how I just discovered I loved them. We had plans to see them in Rockville when we played Rockville, but then we started talking to even from the chats and like he held us at backstage at some forty one for like an hour and we miss slipnot that he owes us a slipknock concert. That's funny. That's the life though, right, like in this place where we have here, where we're at now, it's the Artists Media Lounge and it's pretty cool. Yeah, as you can see, and it gets better as the night goes on. There's probably a lot of people that will be back here and missing Slayer. I won't be one of them, yeah, but there will be, you. Know, feel that I'll probably swing by for a shot and then go run over to Slayer.
40 There you go. So are you all gonna go see Slayer? I am yeah? Oh is it? Are you gonna go see Slayer? Oh? Yeah? Absolutely? It was that or Pantera, But I know a lot more Slayer tracks than Pantera. What's your favorite Slayer track? I love Season in the Abyss nice sounds so sick, that part where he picks up like. Doo doo doo doo do do do do like it's oh, and then like that cool solo. I don't know how they record the guitar, but it sounds like it's double but moved back a tiny bass, so it has this weird delayed leeven like. Do do Do Do Do? Like? I can't wait to watch. I hope they play that live tonight, but if not, it's still gonna be an amazing. Show, you know. And they didn't play Lowry in life consider Hurricane. They did play riot Fest.
21 I was there. Yeah, I'm not gonna tell you. All right, you gotta just wait, Come one man, you gotta all right, I'll wait and see. It will definitely be worth it, for sure. I'm hyped. You know what else I'm hyped about. You guys have a song I believe on one of my favorite games ever. Like, there's two games I play all the time, and one of them is NHL. Yeah, NHL twenty four. Yeah, So how did that happen? So fortunately for us, we had this really cool connection who plugged us with. I believe he in charge of like the music for EA. It was Steve Schner, a really cool guy. We met him in Nashville and they met him or they showed him our songs. We met him, and it was such such a cool vibe, you know.
10 And not only that, he actually wanted to add another song. I'm not sure if it was that game or for a different game. Wow, But he's such a great guy. You know. Talking to him was really fun. And yeah, and they even sent us a copy of it. And that was the first time we played NHL, I though, I'm pretty sure that was our first time really, And then I started learning about all these things like icing and you're in the box and I'm like, Yo, where's my other guy? Why is he in this box? Get him out of there? That's like I think he also just thought we were sick and stuff. There's like an element of connections and stuff too. But you also have to be a dope band to get on a dope soundtrack. I'm not going to put that past us. You know, you. Shouldn't, because I think client a band that's made it, if they're on a video game, I just think that's the way it is.
52 You've made it. Actually probably agree with that, right. It's hard because I feel like a lot of times we're just still like trying to push through and see what we can do more and more in excel that sometimes it's hard to just stand still and smell the roses for what they are, you know what I mean? That is really cool? So now what are you gonna do to top that? What's what else is coming after after Shock that the listeners need to know about. Well, our album's coming out tonight at nine pm. Oh yeah yeah, and we're going on the rest of our tour. We're supporting ten Years, so we're looking forward to that. We finally get to support a big band and get to see you people at each show, So that'd be exciting to do.
33 That's cool. That's very cool. I got a big big dreams though, Like, so this is like our first album, So like everything that comes after this is because of the first album, So there's nothing before this, you know, It's like this is where it starts. That's so true. I'm glad you brought that up because it is like, look at any band, you know, they put out their first album and that's really where it starts for sure. So what are some of your guys dreams beyond this? I know recently we were talking about outside Lands. Playing there someday would be amazing. I've been there a couple of times and it's. Short tours twoenty twenty five.
13 We can get in like a movie soundtrack that would be pretty cool. What kind of movie? Oh, Shrek five five? Really Shrek five there's no plans for that at all, but we're just hoping for it. Yeah, just play it out there in the universe. We had this one song we were recorded in la that I think it's perfect for it, you know, but what else I mean? I'd love to also travel to London, you know, play shows there summer in England. International Japan. I remember when we dropped that he was bad Star. For some reason, our song was always doing so good in Osaka, Japan or Osaka. Yeah, yeah, Japan they love music, dude. I see a lot of great bass players coming out of Japan. Like they're over here slapping it like it's nobody's business.
55 Wow. So I'm sure like the scene over there must be amazing. It is, And then like you guys should play like download festival in the Utah. Oh, it would be cool. Yeah, I Bourbon and beyond it would be Sick Lollapalooza obviously outside Lands Coachella though, would also be dope. But honestly, we're just taking every little victory as it comes, because Aftershock is no small deal either. It's a big deal to be here, and we're so pumped that we got to do it. And now Danny has to put you on Bourbon and Beyond. Burbon and Beyond is next. I hope you know there it is. We're putting it out there. So if Danny listens to this, he knows you want to be on Bourbon and Beyond. Yeah, and how did Danny or his crew discover you guys to bring you on after Shock and Rockville or anything else.
44 So we played a show in Los Angeles at the Viper. Room, the infamous Viper Room. Danny Wimmer was there with Tony Guantsey, who is the owner of our label, and they're like friends. So like Danny Wimmer came to like check it out and stuff, and then suddenly we're on two of the biggest rock festivals in the world, So real dream comes true. I think a lot of it comes down to their relationship, but I also like to believe that we are just really sick as hell, and so they just want. Us to play. Well there it is. That is what I have to believe that you have to be sick as hell because Danny ain't gonna just put you on the festival.
26 Sick as hell? Why are you here? You know? That's right, that's right. So tell everybody how they can reach out to you guys on socials, on the web, by your merch, look up all your stuff that's going on. So our social media is going to be straight Jacket CAA. It's st r at jacket CAA. And we have our website to straight jacket band dot com. You can find almost everything on there, and yeah it's for now. If you want to merch, swing by to a show and we'll give you a great show and cool merchant. We'll also be selling seven inch vinyls Nice that's containing two of our singles, So get ready for that and tap in. So the new album, what's each one of your favorite songs on that album? If you were to pick one, which is hard because it's like picking your favorite child, I like.
11 Be my drug a lot. I feel like that one. We all kind of just excel a lot. I'm not saying that the other ones we don't, but there's like, at least for me on the bass, like I know that there's moments where I'm like kind of noodling around and just having fun. It's I really like be my drug. And I know this is another one, but end of time, that one's really cool. It's a chant one that if the crowd is, you know, really feeling it, that's a really cool one to perform. Probably mine is a song called watch to You Go that's not out yet, it's coming out to tonight Tonight to Night. It's more of like sort of an old school vibe. It sounds just like a timeless song, honestly, like a beatlesy to me, so and it's just really catchy and I just like playing that song so much.
52 It's so fun. I like cut the chord a lot because it was one of the first songs where we all collaborated to create it together. That would probably be never one, But if I had to choose another one, I'd probably be Torch because it's such a different type of song on the record, other different than any other song on it. So I'm proud that we can stretch our wings that far. So those would be mine. See. I love that you guys are all picking like pretty much every song on the album, and because what I like about it is you're all bringing your own creativity to the songs, is what it says to me, instead of like following this formula that a lot of bands do you know your you know, because the ones that deforming the bands, they would probably pick this is the song and we all like that the best. But because you're bringing something different to the table, I think that's why you have different songs that you think are the best.
45 It's my opinion, thank you. Yeah. So that's one thing I always pick out too, is like how different our answers are. Yeah, yeah, that's pretty cool. And then so you said nine o'clock, is that the coincide with midnight. In New York time? Because twelve, Yeah, that's. What I'm saying, because that's when my birthday is. When your album is dropping New York time, that's my birthday. Nice, it's always on aftershock weekend. This is like my birthday party every weekend every year. And tonight we got Slayer, so you know, you. Go, best birthday president. So you got Slayer, straight jacket. I don't need anything else.
26 I love that man. Thank you well, we love having you here it after shock. I hope we see you at Bourbon Beyond. And thanks for being on the Adventures of pape Man. Thank you. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipe Man on w for CUI Radio
