04 Hey, you live on too. Thats sure, I'm from four see wow here you wake up America. It's time for the adventure. So pipe Man on W four CWY dot com whistpong beats his number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man. This is is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio and I'm here with sleep theory. Nice. How's he going? Man up? How can it be bad? We're louder than life, right? How bad ass is that?
00 It's pretty cool? It's been a blessing man. Yeah, go ahead. It's surreal. It's surreal. It's very cool. Nice. So tell us a little bit about you guys for listeners that don't know, Like, how would you describe your guys? What makes you unique in this world of music where there are a lot of people that are unique and there's a lot that sound the same. I think one thing that sets us apart is, uh, just kind of like we blend R and B and rock together. So that's kind of like something unique that we do. Yeah, we take going off of what he said, like, we take what people love in the nostalgic of like the rock, but we mix it with like all these like pop sounds, R and B sounds and really make it its own thing, but still that same nostalgic sound from before. So I like that because that is a lot different, because there's some people like lending punk with metal, blending rock with pop, but I like the R and B. Like even there's hip hop that blends with NTO, but R and B with rock.
14 I think that's a whole nother level because I think they're connected anyway. Oh yeah, me and Paolo. Actually I'm not sure as far as Daniel and Ben, but you know, me and Paulo will actually go over to his house and his dad plays piano. We'll play all the old nineties R and b's, his dad will sing, Paulo will sing, I'll sing. We have a little karaoke night, you know, on the piano with his dad playing. So it's pretty fun. Give us a lot of inspiration, especially not just popping R and B. But we put a little bit of heavy stuff with our tracks, and I think that's kind of like the unique part of our you know, off sleep theory absolutely. And you know the thing is is like even here last night, there was an after party in this area and it always amazes me. Every metal festival that I do that has an after party, the after party is usually like hip hop, R and B and techno and dance music and not really metal. Uh, yeah, it was. It was actually really cool to see everybody back here having a great time. Everybody was talking. There's just so many different people that we know we watched as we were as we were coming up in the scene, that we're able to talk to, and it was really cool. It was really great experience. Well, and as you said, it's like everybody was just having a good time because music is a great unifier. I mean, I don't think there are boundaries. That's why I ask artists, you know, how they describe their music, because the whole genre think I think it should be over get rid of those labels that box you in as an arst,
45 as an artist, you should just be doing what comes from your heart and that's it. Yeah, for sure, that's straight facts right there. I think that's what we're doing too right now. And I think that's like how or why so many people relate to us in that way, like through our music. I think you can hear it. Ah, that was great. I love that. Not what he said people. But you know, we have a face for radio here and there's some good inside stuff that you're not privy to listening right now. So how are you gonna top louder? How are you gonna top louder? What comes after this? Oh? Man, we got some really cool stuff that really can't say as of now.
29 But January is gonna be a pretty big It's gonna be a pretty cool kickoff. And truthfully, like the first day of what's gonna be starting of next year is the same day that we released our first single of this year. So January twelve, it's gonna be our it's gonna be our anniversary of whenever we like everything went crazy, everything went viral and TikTok. And then next year is gonna be like the anniversary of Like, hey, same date is this happening? So it's pretty cool. Nice let's talk about TikTok for a second. Yeah, what's your craziest TikTok? And is it the one that went viral or is it one that didn't go viral? Oh, there's one of me in a in a wig singing escape to Fate and Ronnie actually saw it. Yeah, it's it's pretty great. But yeah, has nothing to do with like our music or anything, which is the funniest part. Yeah, it was usually the case, right, it was just being a wig singing escape to Fate and yeah, one point three million. It just curs.
39 Man, Just do whatever, because listen, my daughter's boyfriend, he like does TikTok's I'm talking He's not kid, he's twenty seven years old, Okay, but I mean not TikTok Rubik's cube, Like does TikTok's of Rubik's cubes, just solving Rubik's cubes and in like a month, one hundred and sixty thousand followers. And he doesn't even know how to do social media. Yeah, and I'm like, man, I gotta get on there and do something stupid, right, because the stuff that's not stupid I'm doing antworking. Yeah, yeah, that's what works. Stupid works. Hey, you know why we all need a diversion of entertainment instead of all the serious bullshit that's on all the socials. So it's like, if I could just watch some stupid video that I don't have to think about I have to have an opinion on, and I don't have to get pissed off about. Let me watch that. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Is either that or being extremely genuine just like you know, a lot of people just try to I don't know, it's almost forced, you know, just get on there and just be just be you. I think that's what it should be with everything in life nowadays, I feel everybody's forcing, like they're all have these labels of who they are and they have to fit in that box and just be you.
59 And like even with the stuff that's going on in the world with hate, like who gives a fuck with somebody else? Does? Let them just be them? You bet you. It doesn't affect your life, yours, doesn't affect theirs. Just love each other, that's it. Yep. No, I agree with that. And I think one of the big reasons we wanted to do this was to be a light and you know, be different and have that positive outlook, you know, And I love that because music is all about that. In my opinion, people look at it sometimes it's a negative because you're expressing yourself and things that have happened, or people relate in a certain way, But it's cathartic and therapeutic. It's not it's not meant to be hateful. It's meant to be so we can all heal and all love each other and all be together. Right Yeah, for sure, for sure. And that's what these music festivals are about. Right, you know, you go here, there's no outsiders. It's like everybody can just be whoever they are and we just all accept. Everybody in the world could learn a lot from bands like you, guys, and from festivals like this.
05 Thank you, thank you. That's awesome, my pleasure. What's the craziest story in your guy's musical journey? He doesn't even want to say. Most craziest one is probably just just living into RV. Yeah. We've had our butts grabbed. That was new. Wow, it's not my fault. It is a submission. This man said, Yeah, just do it. Yeah, yeah, I mean whatever it dude, whatever, just go for it. I guess you know why not. Hey, listen, you haven't made it until you've been asked to grab your butt. Come on, that's a that's a sign that you're there. Daniel said it was his favorite part of the tour. I'd say the craziest moment for me is we played in Canada with Shine Down and after the show, like just walking through people, you know, because we're still kind of new to it and just like walking through the crowd and like getting to meet people. I don't know something about that. Yeah yeah people. Yeah, people were like my baby and we're like throwing babies at me and Paula We're like what do we what do we do? Yeah? Like I was holding a plushy with ice cream and like right when we were walking through the front, people were coming out and so like they were like and they're like throwing babies at us, like these like they're like three years old, four years old. Like it was great.
33 But at the same time, like security started getting mad, like you guys are in the way. Like I was like, dude, I'm trying to get out of the way. Yeah, oh my god. That's it was. It was great. It was great. You get you guys should running for president. No, you've already kissed babies. Yeah right, thank you. I think you'll do a lot more good with your music for sure. Thank you. You know that is the message everybody wants to hear. What's good about this band is uh man, we always look out for each other. Yeah, and we really treat each other as like family. That's the way it should be, especially if you're in an RV or else you could kill each other for sure, sir. Yeah, which brings me to another question that could be really funny. What is the thing that pissed somebody off most in the RV that everybody else laughed about. There was a towel that was in the RV that was it smelled so bad. I've never seen this guy, and I just wanted to know whose towel it was, and to this day is a touchy subject because no one has admitted to it. I think it was Cullen's town. No, it was not. Let's not do that. It was not my towel. Twenty nine years I've been on this earth. He's gaslight, all right, So okay, I see what you're doing. I see what you're doing, and I'm not here for it.
56 No, I'm not here for it. It's either Heaven, our photographer or Bins, and neither one of them want to admit to it. And I've been so upset about it because we literally had to throw it out. We had to throw it out of the drug. Yeah, I'm still mad because see, if I were in the bed, I would probably now do it every time just because they know whose it is. That person who's tale it is to this day knows who it is. They just want to admit to it. It was three months ago, they still won't admit. Well, that's kind of how it goes. Like so funny story. My son, my best friend of life, is like a brother since thirteen. He passed away recently, and my son when he was little stole not little, but when he was like a teenager, stole his cigarettes. He blamed it on the dog. And my bro who's like, he don't buy it to a bull, She's like, uh, dude, it wasn't the fucking dog.
00 Just admit it. You took my fucking cigarettes, your little punk. To this day, even after him passing, I'm like heading to the funeral and my son calls and he starts talking about, yeah, I was reading this thing on Google about pugs and they and this other story of this pug ain't somebody's cigarettes, and because he blamed it on the pug, and it's like, see there's proof. I'm like, that's not fucking proof. Our dog did it, right. You know, you're thirty eight years old, admitted already it was your cigarettes. You're not getting grounded, right, So that's what's gonna happen here, nobody. It's gonna be to deny till you die thing. Yeah, but that's fun. It's fine until it happens again.
52 Oh man, I think it should happen. Good. I'm just gonna poke that you weren't on that right, No? Oh man? And does everybody connect with you guys on socials on the web by your merch all that great stuff. I have people by connect you on socials on the web by your How do they do that? Yeah? Yeah, okay, So you go to our Instagram, our TikTok or any of our socials, there is a link tree. They'll take you to our Facebook. Well yeah, if you're already on the Facebook, let's take you to all our socials. They'll take you to our Apple Music, Spotify, all that stuff. There's a there's pre saves, there's the merch link on. There is everything if you need to find us is on there. And I think I have a new idea for your TikTok Okay, I think the towel should be part of tiktoks.
45 No, there should be like a series of TikTok's with the towel no, you lost me there No no Instagram it's a oh it's Sleep Theory uh dot band. Isn't it up Sleep Theory dot Man at Uh yeah at Sleep Theory dot Man on Instagram? Yep? Nice? Ye? Is there anything you guys want to let the listeners know that we haven't touched on yet. Washer towels. There's the advice, right, oh yeah the EP? Yeah? Oh yeah, the EP comes out towel September between night this coming Friday. Yeah, paper hearts, ye, paper hearts. We have we have two headline shows coming up to Vegas and Nevada, Reno. They're both in Reno.
33 Yeah, they're they're both in this. It is both in Nevada. Right, Yeah, here's the thing for your EP. You should do some new merch towels. Okay, this guy, this guy is jokes. I didn't know that we're on a comedy show. I didn't know that all all right, Uh, it's the shitty towel. You gotta you buy this. You get a shitty towel and that guys can Yeah yeah, man, I love it.
