04 Hey, you listening too? Is sus sure? I'm for see why for you wake up of America. It's time for the Adventures. So pipe Man on w for CY dot com. West pom Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the white Man before. Oh, this is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man w for c Y Radio and I'm here with Skimmed too. Nice to meet you, and I want to start off right off the bat. You look amazing. But there's a reason you're dressed in these colors. And I know the reason, but the listeners don't know the reason. So let's talk about that because it's important. So I'm going to play to Sophie Lancaster stage tonight and Sophie smother she created the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, and to support Sylvia because she died last year, we're all gonna wear pink to support the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. I love that, and I love that you're representing. It's not just playing the stage, but

34 you're playing the role. Yes. Even your hair, yes, of course, and I love it. My hair was blue a few months ago. Wow. Yeah, I've had every color that looks like I'll show you a picture after the interview. I've changed it up a lot and now it's been kind of nice to like not have to deal with it, you know when I'm talking about manage work. But I'm missing it, so I'll probably go back. So tell us a little bit about what you got going on. I know you have a new single coming out. Got a lot of things happen in a tour. Tell us all about it. So the new single, Robert Hanson already came out and we're going on tour in November to December.

16 We're going to European tour and UK again and bring in the Dark Place back nice and you're going with Ice nine Kills, right I did. I supported Eceline Kills on their European Versus Vacation tour. Was amazing and what catch made in hell? What a great bat. That's what I was going to say. What's the match made in Heaven? Like? To me? When I got the offer, I was like, that's match made in heaven like their fictional horror, but I have the true crime theme going on and it to me, it was the perfect fit. And it was also an honor to go on tour with them. Because I was a fan before and when they asked me, I was like, oh yeah, I'm gonna do that. It spenter so cool and it was and so like when I saw him perform, like I saw him perform on YouTube videos, but to see him live, like his face expression and how he sings and acts and not leaving the character is impressive to me. Nice. So I don't know if they have any UK yet. But before I came over here in the States, there's this new show on Netflix. It's How to Stop the Cult, How Start a Cult Leader? So have you seen it yet? I started.

29 I started watching it, so I'm still I love the show because there was another one before, How to Become a Murderer. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. And so I started this show now, and it's interesting because they have this sarcastic thing to it, right, I really really like what I just started the first. I like this one better. Now you singing one of your songs about Jim Jones, right, have you gotten to that part of it yet? Because he's in that. I know. That's why I'm watching it. You'll love it. It's great. So tell our listeners a little bit about your music in general. I mean we've touched on it here. But you know, for those that don't haven't heard you before, don't know your music, tell them what's all about. So I translate true crime into music. That's what I do. I investigate those cases, take it really seriously, go to the studio with father, make a song.

23 That's what I do. I write songs about true crime because to me and not to sound to protest, but I don't want to turn a blind eye on Also on the world's history. I mean, true crime is a part of it, and I feel like we should not forget. Well, how are we going to not learn if we get exactly because I feel like it happen again because history is repeating itself. If we're not learning, if we're not, you know, try to change it, nothing's gonna happen. So I felt, you know, knowing a little bit about you, I felt like there's a similarity between me and you. I'll tell you why and you'll understand. So you heard I'm pipe Man on radio. Obviously that's not my name in real life, my moniker. It is part my name, no, because my last name is Piper, so it's part of that, but it is my alter ego that nobody ever knew to the radio. Like it's the stuff that's inside your head that you don't talk to anybody about. So people may think pipe Man is like this fake, made up character, but it is really part of me, just the part that comes out on radio.

31 Maybe not. And then now it it does filter over, you know, Now it's like it has become more of me, is taken over. That's kind of similar with you, right, is that what skinned? This is kind of like another part of you. I am skinning exactly. This is me. I mean, that's all I can tell you. I mean, this is me. This is the real, authentic name. I love it. I love it. And isn't it great that you get to express that, you know on page with your music and live and speaking live. Tell us a little bit about your live show. I mean, I haven't seen you live yet, so I'm like, I think it's going to be amazing, and I want to know and the listeners want to know. What is it like to go to a skinned live show? What is it like?

16 That's a good question. You just have to experience it, because you know, I'm a storyteller. I tell the stories and I leave. I love it. So you have like a night full of true prime stories, and then please go back home and investigate those cases. That's what I want people. If they come to a show, please go back home and investigate those cases. Is there one of those cases that captures your fascination the most of all the cases I've covered so far, Yeah, they all have something to it that's so like maybe specialists the wrong word to describe it, but they're all different in all kind of way, and they're all emotional to me.

59 But I must Chris Watts killing his wife, his unborn child, and his two little girls. Still talking about this gives me goosebumps. I could cry right now because this is so brutal to think about. But also Edmund Kemper, I mean, he grew up with a mother dad wasn't good to him. That's why it's so important we need to talk about mental health. It's not just like I think what gets me with true crime is that people tend to put people into or humans into, or you're good or you're bad. But it's not that simple. It is not, and that's that is what gets me so emotional because there's so much like a backstory to it.

42 With Edmund Kemper with Robert Hans. They're not born monsters, right, And there's triggers that maybe we don't even know our triggers exactly. That's what I say, because I feel like everyone has a certain trigger. I mean, just look on like, just imagine you're in a car traffic you get aggressive. How many people like the road rage? That's the real thing. Oh, he could be the nicest guy, but when you know when he's on the road, he's like an asshole. This is how it is. Right, if you get triggered, maybe you lash out. We don't know. We don't know what lappen is funny because I related to something you said because my mother I had that. Seriously, I could easily have some trigger haven't yet. But you never know, Like stuff that goes on in your life, it's good that you know about it. You know, you're aware of it so you can work. You know, you can work against it, or you know that there's something going on you have to look after. But that's so important that you learn who you are and that you know what kind of triggers you have. Yeah. Absolutely, we have a whole network of podcasts that we produce. One of them is about the Zodiac Killer. Interesting, So what are your thoughts or do you have any Zodiac Killer I mean, we still don't know what happened. I mean those those letters. I was trying to write a song about it, but because it's so unsure who it was, to me, it's a bit like what's the point, right,

16 I'm still a mystery, So yeah, I must have been. I mean Eliza lam is still a mystery as well, but we know what happened to her, you know, but we don't know who the murderer is or whatever happened to her. But with the Zodiac we have so much things about him, but we don't know who he is. So it's really hard for me to get all the facts together and then come up with a song. I have to. I'll have to hook you up with the host that doesn't I know her real well, and she is the handwriting to her forensic handwriting analysis analyst of the Zodiac Killer. Boy believes Jack is the Zodia kill her.

01 And she has like every show where she shows all this stuff, and she like is so intensely passionate about it, and she also gets and I think you know about this, she gets a lie grief over it too, Like people give her so much crap and you know she's a target because she's doing it, but you know she's so she is so into finding the truth that she digs very deep. I'll have to hook you guys up. Maybe that'll help writing the song, you know, I'd love that. I'll definitely do that. Tell everybody how they can reach you on your socials, web anywhere, and most importantly, support you. Follow you, check out your live shows and merch and all that, so you're fun. All the informations on skinned music dot com. But you find me on Instagram, on all social sid skinned music and if you want to support me, just listen to my music. Well that is the best thing. And you do have great music. I love Web's about it as meaning to it and like you said, it's digging into stuff so that we can learn to stop maybe things from happening in the future. So thank you for that. Thank you so much, so thank you for being on the Adventures of pate Man. Thank you, thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pateman. I'm W four CUI Radio
