04 Hey you love then two that's sure, I'm coming from you for see why for you Wake up America. It's time for the adventure. So pipe Man on W four CWY dot com west pom Beats his number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Band W four c Y Radio. And I'm here with score off. Yeah, scorer from Cheltenham, Harry and Tom. We got the guitar and vocalist Harry guitar, it's on vocalist. Oh, so you're the one I was talking to Why I said, don't treat the mic like you're singing. You guys always do. Like I have their reviews that people are doing this. There's something about them. I don't know. They just don't know how to act probably, I know, right, Hey, they don't help with the gear, they know how break that? What are you even good for? Now? Joking? It's the ego, mate, I'll tell you that. Yeah, he admits it. He does bring a crowd though, and to be fair, he's kind of years kind of look at him, he's very pretty boy. I'll see there. That's all that counts,
38 right, So you're hair at Bloodstock and you open the new Blood stage. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, we were opening this morning half ten, so waking everyone up. What was it like? I always like to hear how it is for the first We were a bit shocked, to be honest, because it was so early. But the tent was full, it was brilliant, There were nice there was a natural crowd for us, and it was Yeah, it's great. Obviously everybody's a bit hung over from night before, but flew out from jobwebs. You're probably expected like two people and they were your grandparents. Yeah, no, exactly, Like, don't get me wrong, We brought our own crowd. But the main thing that scorer as a band, dude, Honestly, when we're just known for causing commotion, we're known, we're known for bringing like people out and to be fair me personally, you know, New Blood's got their whole competition for the guitar.
23 Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess you want to really this yeah this cheeky yeah, this cheeky chappe. Honestly it literally yeah oh yeah no, I've officially told everyone I know now, but honestly, we we just we came to we came to bring presents we we hopes come back. We absolutely love it. Honestly, everything about this has been an amazing experience against talks people like yourself getting to you know, like you feel like you feel like a not a pub band anymore, just playing in your local local venues. Oh sorry mate, not just playing in your your local venues mate. Yeah, mate, yes, and so tell us about the road you took to get to that stage. So we did the Metal to the Masses competition and I think it's the second one they've done in Cheltenham. Cheltenham sort of in Gloucestershire area. I guess our nearest Metals to the Masses was Bristol originally, and so we were kind of see again, I'm using the microphone like a second. Yeah, our local competition is, yeah, what's Bristol?
23 But they started doing it in Cheltenham and May. Yeah, and we got through, you know, the first round, lots of the finals and yeah, we got through. We want it and now we're here and has to say, every every band that we were going up against, they're all really good and stuff, but like, I don't know, there's something about this band. Honestly, everyone can appreciate it. I'm guessing you've been in bands. We've all been in back, but like this, there's there's something special with this band, Like honestly check us out do with all that stuff, like well, we're on Spotify, we've got Instagram and like genuinely it's it's just a good time. Well, since you brown up, let's tell them how to connecting on sol shawls and check out and all your music merch everything. Absolutely well, absolutely we got some music out and we as well, like we trying to make sure before blood Stock to put some put some decent tunes out, get them on Spotify and everything. So yeah, it's been a it's all about that sort of rat race, I guess, isn't it, And for specifically for the festival, because we wanted to seem a little bit more professional because again we're underdogs at the minute. Don't get me wrong, we're nothing big, but I reckon this potential there. We've got chee shirts, we've got patches, got a few demos out and stuff like that.
29 It's just just like honestly, hard hitting hardcore. We've got a little bit of progue influence and to be fair, as Tom would probably agree, if you want to get a vibe of us. Now, don't listen to the older stuff. It's it. Don't get me wrong. It's still good material. But like you know, we're not We're not We're not Metallica anymore. You're evolved exactly. Listen, I went to first Mattao because showever, they're not Mattaway anymore. You went to the first one. Yes, I'm beyond jealous slayers first, are you kidding me? Not? I have I have it. Guy's lived and check this shit out. Okay, Ray, what band related to Metallica is here at Bloodstock? You know what? What?
13 What are they called? Thank you? No? Now you lost? I was so impressed with you and that you didn't fucking know it was Megadeth. I thought you met in terms of style because as who is that band that we saw, who's that band that shake with? Right, I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna tell a command, throw and through. I'm Megadeth that they're good, don't get me wrong. But so here's a story though. So that first gig, there were like twenty five of us, and after the gig, this dude gets off the stage, comes up to me and starts talking to me. I'm fifteen years old, he's probably seventeen.
55 He's probably seventeen, and he's like, he hands me his business hard. Yeah, it said Metallica power metal because there was no word thrash yet they were power metal for a minute. You still got that, Dave mustange, you must you must have kept. Yeah, it's fifteen years nothing bad. I like as we have been worth to me. It's walking the meal Dave and saying, hey, do you remember giving this to me? Yeah? Have you have you seen him? Since I have? I've seen him, but I haven't talked to him. When you saw that. We need to saw that. I know, right obviously, because I want to. I'm one of the bigger boutans here. Obviously, I know I need the interview.
35 I've done over two thousand interviews. I have an aterview Dave yet, and I would like to interview him to talk about that story. He's a very interesting guy, I'll give him that, honestly. Very genius. He's a genius and very interesting guy. Yeah, when we first started out, it was really fresh inspired, and I think that definitely is come from like we were all massive into Megadeth and like Metallica and things like that. It's just it's it's quite incredible to be here and like see well the one one of my personal favorite things is seeing our name on the Bloodstop poster and seeing Meganeth at the top on my it's just wicked, feels good, good, nice. Yeah, and next year you'll be on the main stage and Meganeth will be nonetheless one day hopefully. It's all. It's all an amount of time and like to be fair, like I said, please check us out where where I'd say we're good. We're good group of lads. You know, we're based locally, well relatively locally. We're from my Challenge Stroud area.
42 Everything's local in the UK like the US to say you have to try like four hours to work to be fair most of the time, right, true, honestly up and coming great, Like we might not be everyone's cup of tea, but we're hard hitting, we're tight. We got some sick March. You should definitely check out. We've literally released a couple of singles and like Spotify scorer, so that's s k O r A so cheekier at rhymes. I love it, love it and so we're gonna do after this. Hey your top this so we're gonna do all our interviews. I have a few beers, then go watch some sugar yea. And in terms of like festivals and all we've all we've got to do. All we've got to do is I don't know. I reckon, I reckon, I reckon we could come back. I reckon, we could come back. I reckon, we'll get invited back. I think you're coming back because you guys rock and if not that I will cry myself to sleep. But hey, that's future means problem. I'm glad I'm not that guy. There, you go anything else? You why to tell the listeners we haven't covered yet that they need to know about you? Guys. We are in a very fortunate situation to be dealing with a very nice interviewer. And I'll give you the money I are for a year later. And yeah, just thank you to the fans, thank you to the people, and honestly, like Tom, anything from you, Yeah, cheers for agreeing to have an interview with us. Mate, it'll be yes first one of the day as well. So it's that No, it's not he's lying, and this is all this is honestly, we can we can't keep them away but yeah, thank you people. Nice.
13 And one last question, are you going to be in the pet for knock Loose? Of course, of course, I'm always in the pit. There you go. I was just in the pit with this band that was playing on the Sophie stage, Tortured. Yeah. Yeah, they go hard though. I walked over there because somebody said to me, hey, you gotta check this band out there, like old school Exodus. I'm like, and they're like one of my favorite bands. I'm like, okay, had ten minutes left her set. I walked over, I walked in, I saw the pet. I'm like, fucking I'm going in the pit. I usually wait till after the interview, so in case I fucking fucked myself up, I can still do my interviews. Yeah. This is the situation though, like for the entire festival, dude, And honestly, not even to drag it out. I have absolutely been masking. You can see I've got rips and mans scrapes like your neck, dude. It's it's it's all about It's all about the vibe though, And to be fair, I'm going to take it nice and easy today. I have a few interviews. I'll say that I've like four beers and I'll be back in it. There it is, there, it is. Hey, if you hear about a little midget boy that's died, it's me. It's mean. Well, let's not go that for We want you alive for next year. Of course, love it.
26 Thanks for being here at Bloodstock, and thanks for being on the adventure to play bad, take it easy. Thank you for listening to the adventures of brake Man. I'm w for CUI Radio.
