04 Hey you listening to such Sure, I'm come for see why you wake up America. It's time for the Adventures. So pipe Man on w f CY dot com. West pom Beats is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man Scots Show. Oh oh white oh Jack. This is is the pipe Man here on the Adventures. Pipe Man w for c Y Radio and I'm here with hur. I'm a nice love it and I love you making sure that the mic went up there? Oh yeah, I'm very professional me love it paying attention. So fucking bloodstock. Yeah, how'd that happened? Honestly, it's been crazy. We applied from Metal to the Masses in Kent right by the bottom there France, and we managed to get our way into the final Metal to the Masses and then after that we kept contact with Simon from Metal to the Masses and then this year he contacts us

38 and he was like, the Aga stage, how do you feel about that? And we were like, yeah, it's a course stage two, isn't it. It's wicked. It's so cool. I think that's the best stage here personally. It's so intimate and like yeah, crazy, Yeah, it's right next to the main stage as well. So the beauty of it is that everyone just trails from the main stage across and it's just as you say, it's intimate. Yeah, so it's you know, you get right up close to the audience. It's fantastic. It was such a good gig fans as well, straight through there obviously the tents straight next door. So they after they've finished, we come on and literally because it was like that's probably about fifty people in there to start with, because we had to go on early because someone was late or whatever and we had to go on early.

24 But honestly, by the time that they've finished the whole it was rammed in about a few minutes, a few minutes, and the place was packed. Yeah, it was crazy. I mean I said to the boys, like I stood up on the drum riser at one point and I was like, holy right see, And you know, I'm glad you're seeing that, because a lot of people would say, well, oh, I can't believe I'm cleaning that stage. Nobody's getting come. No, it's the exact opposite. No, definitely not. I mean, we don't get wrong, we're so stoked to be here anyway, just for the opportunity, and I think that's what we love about Bloodstock is it does look after young, small bands after everybody. That's what I love about blood Stock. Yeah, totally. But to play on the yoga was a massive step for us today. I think.

10 So I think you're al much better off on that stage because because it is so intimate, and yeah, i's how you get those super fans like some of the bands I'm like major fans of It's because I saw him in some little hole in the wall club and that's what did it for exactly. I mean, and I mean some people that we know from where we're from actually came to blood Stock to see us nice and we were like, that's crazy, man Like people actually that dedicated to the band, you know, and we're people singing our lyrics back to us. It was just it was one of their moments who were like, Yeah, that's cool. That's what's cool about the UK though, Because I gotta tell you, like, I live in Florida and I have radio stations, so I do ticket giveaways.

53 Yeah, so I'll like contact my friends. I'm like, hey, I got some tickets to this show. And it's a band I know they want to see and it's like ten minutes away, and I'm like, you want tickets, nah, but I'll meet you at the bar afterwards. UK is way better when it comes to music in my opinion, Even when I was younger, it was like a dream of mine to go to London for the punk scene there. Oh it's amazing, right yeah Camden, Yeah, totally totally so looking at your shirt where you think about Randy Shavin's head. Honestly, when I first saw that picture, because they uploaded it and because I was gutted, I wanted to come here last year because Lamb of God's like one of my favorite bands. I see it, I was like, also like oh Loo, but I was like, he's gone back to the old Randy, like a you know, like he's gone back to like Sacrament Randy.

47 Right, he looks so cool. It looks so cool. Even Dreads now, Dreads is just cool as Anyway, there you go, and I think it was here in the UK. It happened, but I can't don't remember. Did you know he actually got jumped in the UK, like because he's a photographer too, and somebody jumped him for his photography. Yeah, that that was fucked up. Of you. Why didn't do that? Oh? Man? It was funny because right like the day after he did it, I was interviewing non point and so I said to a live so I'm like, so, are you gonna do what Randy did? He's like, I don't think so. But my dreads do need a little taken off because they're too long now. But yeah, no, I'm not shaving. I love dreadlocks, right, that's so cool. I used to have him Oh really, yeah? How long they've down to my Yeah? See, I'm always in amazement. Like I saw some dude here yesterday his dreads were down to here, and I used to have hair down to here. I'm like, how the fuck did they get dreads that long? It's honestly, it's actual dedication, right, it really dares. It took me a lot of decaging just get my hair there, and I think dreads are harder to grow like that. Totally. That actually takes up a lot more lenked as well, doesn't it? Yeah? Totally? So what made you not do the dreads? Amore just got bored because I'm really long blonde dreads and I hated

20 being blonde. So I was like, I have to get these out, I can't do it anymore, and then yeah, I'll just darb my hair black. And that was when I was about ten. And then look back there it is, so your hair has been black since ten. Well it's been different colors since then, to be honest, me too. Al Yeah, my hair a couple of months ago was blue. I love that, but then I was going surface. I'm like, I gotta quit the blue for a little bit. So it's sad weather. Yeah, the mate, you jump in the water, You're done. It just blondes again. It's bad enough when it's like raining outside festival and I'm bleeding blue and I don't know it. You know, it's like people are looking at me. I'm looking at me. I think, just start your hair reds and then it's just like blood. I did that too. I had red one blue was a crappy blue, and then two days it faded the lavender, which would be cool for you. It wasn't a good look on me. I'm sure he still rocks it though. Yeah, there you go. You have to so tell our listeners a little bit about your music, not from a genre standpoint, because that's bullshit and label. I want to hear what the artist thinks of their music or what they're looking to express. In terms of our music, we don't actually know how to describe it, to be honest, I like that. Actually it's it's just an amalgamation of everything that we like.

46 So for me, it's a bit of machine Head, it's a bit of you know, the classics. For it's from Iron Maiden, it's from a little bit of Lamb of God, maybe a little bit of Corn, probably some Black Sabbath to implos in there. Yeah, there's definitely some Sabbath. The best way I've heard it described was actually because Bloodstock actually gave us a little bit of a feature and I said that we're elements of classic heavy metal, but with groove elements as well. And I think, yes, that's that's pretty that's pretty decent. That's pretty cool. Yeah, you know, and what I love, and I've been saying this a lot with bands like you that blend all their influences, is I prefer that because it makes you unique. One of the things I hate nowadays is there's so many bands, especially in metal, that's almost like pop. They're playing in this formula to make a song. Metal is never about that. It's just like you even take like the Big four thrash, none of them sound the same.

46 They don't sound like they're the same genre, you know, And so that's what makes you stand out. It's interesting that you say that, because it's you've got You've got bands like Megadeth, you're obviously headlighting today, they're obviously fresh, throw and through. Then you got a band like Anthrax and you listen to him and it's like they were almost punk elements. Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of punk elements in Anthrax totally. And that's the influences of the band. Like Slayer. Also Slayer, Dave and Jeff were punks, and Kerry and Tom were metal heads. Yeah. Actually, believe it or not, I think Tom never even listened to metal before Slayer. So imagine that you have one of the most iconic metal voices ever and you weren't even a metal head. First Belladonna was not a metal head at all, you know, and then Scotti and he is a little bit bunk, a little bit of metal, you know. You got that. That's where the different members put their piece into the formula, and that's what you guys do, same thing. Yeah, it's all with us especially, it's all a part of especially a puzzle. Yeah, we used to make up different puzzle pieces. And the way that we right is pretty much the same thing.

01 We don't necessarily go in with right, this is what it's gonna be, this's what going to sound like. We just go in, we jam an idea and then we just think of the section's basically on the spot. Yeah, that's the way it should be. Like, music is a creation. It's experimenting. Like I remember when I was a kid, I was playing guitar and my dad and I was like experimenting with all these sounds and he's like, you better stop doing that, you suck, and like he didn't get it though he didn't get what I was doing. I was like trying to make all these different sounds and I'm like that sounds cool, you know, or oh that's stupid. Well that's a similar that's a similar principle to Morello from Yeahs The Machine was like, isn't it Yeah, just did a lot of experiment and it worked out for him. It's part of being an artist, isn't it. You know? I would hate to be a music artist and told by some record label, hey, this is the formula you have to follow and don't deviate no screw though that's not music exactly. You have to experiment. And you know, mentioned Megadeth perfect example. Dave has a lot of jazz influence in his guitar playing yeah, and you can hear that in the riffs as well, ye, which is what separates him.

15 Otherwise maybe Megadeth and Metalicum would sound the same. But because of that is what makes the difference, you know. And it's funny, you know, it's it makes me laugh. I mean, people don't realize Mechanics and the Four Horsemen or the same song, but Mechanics is the original they think the ones that do. They think Mechanics was because Dave started Megadeth and wanted to do the song, but can do the Four Horsemen. No Mechanics was his song yet, And I heard recently that the Four Horsemen was because nobody could keep up with him on Mechanics, so they had to slow it down.

56 Right. So now we're gonna do how you gonna stop the top blood Stock? Well for a while. I don't think it's going to be topped. I mean, this is a massive step for us. I'm not gonna lie. We're working towards actually getting on a bigger stage as well. So hopefully we've made a good enough oppression to be able to get on maybe New Bloods or Sophie. That would be incredible for us. So, I mean, we're working hard day and night. We're recording as off tomorrow morning. Nice. So it's gonna say, for the record, I think we all want Sophie stage. I was gonna say, like, I'm glad you'd said.

37 I'm like, if it were up to me, I'd picked a selfie stage just because we're it represents that's that's as a goal. That's it now, Nice, that's the next goal. Well, let let's put it out there, you know, and and the bookers an't listening to this eer review and know to put you there. You're listening Sophie. We want Sophie. Watch Sophie stage. Let's make it happen there it is, So, how's everybody reach out to you? Connect on Salt Shaws, where buy your merge, all that great stuff. So we actually we're primar band UK on all the social media's. You can find us on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, all that stuff. And if you're at Bloodstock, we dished out a few beer coasters with the link tree on the back. But yeah, it's prim Primar Band UK. Anyway, you need to find us check it out as well because we've got a new single released on the fifteenth month, so go on Spotify and YouTube and you'll see us. And what was that used for?

41 Gab So yeah, that's a good show. Actually, I have to be reminded of stuff, right, So our new single that's coming out in the fifteenth was actually used for the Bloodstock advert. Wow. Yeah, it's incredible because it had like quite big names over the video, so there was Ginger in there. It was the Lamb of God. My David drummers from Bleed From with him. Ali's like definitely a new band I've gotten into, but he was kind of there was a clip of him drumming over me drumming. I was like, I was like, oh, it's just like the little things. I was like, there's the coolest thing ever that's almost core and I'm playing that blood Starck I know. We was like, I mean, we didn't know because our manager was just like, oh, by the way, check this out and we watched it and we were like what fuck right?

31 And it was just like all these really big influences of ours and then our music on the advert and we were like, how has that happened? So yeah, it's a that's a massive thing for us. So hopefully, you know, that's gonna push us a little bit further as well. But Andy Pilkinson forgetting us that, Yeah, yeah, very met lot. Andy Pilkinson. He does all of our like EP cover, like our music videos. But yeah, he's the one that got us on that, so massive shout out to him. And he watched our set yesterday. So yeah, poster for Bloodstock and he obviously he had done the poster and he's done all the trailers and the Bloodstock TV because we're on the opening credits for Bloodstock TV as wow. Yeah, so yeah, he's sort of sort of right out for that one. See they just might skip Selfhie and bring you right to the main stage. I mean he's like, no, I want Selphie no matter what I mean. It don't get me wrong, the Sophie stage.

28 I'm what an incredible cause that's for you know. So it's sad that we even still deal with that in twenty twenty three as we do. It's terrible it's yeah, unfortunately, as long as we look after each other, do you know what I mean? But it is it's it is terrible that it still happens. That's what's called about our community because we are a family and there are no outcast here and we have a safe zone at Bloodstock, and this is what we said for from you know, from Maxim Tom. This is the first festival for metal. Wow. Yeah, first metal festival, and they've already said, like, you just feel at home. Everyone is just together and there's no outcasts. Everyone accepts you. I can go around looking weirder than I usually do, and it's just perfect. That's why I love about it. Yeah, I told this story yesterday. But I had one time I had to cover two festivals in one weekend, which obviously I can't do. So I sent somebody in my organization like, you gotta cover this festival. But she was a country girl, okay, so I'm like, and she'd never been on a rock show ever, so she was like hasndant because of that typical non metal I'm scared of those people, you know.

44 And I'm like, listen, you're gonna go there. It's one big family. You're gonna make new friends, You're gonna probably find a boyfriend, You're gonna you're gonna get married, blah blah blah. She comes back after a weekend, Oh my god. Oh, And I did say, besides, you go to these country shows and it's just a bunch of rednecks kicking the shit out of each other. What you want to do that for? And I said, And she comes back from the weekend, and I said, so how they go? Oh my god, greatest experience ever. You were so right, I keey bag some guys. Now my boyfriend, I got all these new friends, and I have this new band that I really love now, one of my favorite bands called Bring Me the Horizon. Like, yeah, I kind of heard of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love that. So she was converted. Anybody that comes is not an asshole and comes to a metal show will be converted easily. Easily.

45 Yeah, there's no doubt about it. And I think that's the beauty of it. I really do think it is the beauty. I mean, even for us, we have people come to our shows and they're like completely you know, same as that lady. They've never been to metal for concert, nothing, and they're like, it's really not my cup of tea. And then they afterwards to go what an atmosphere, Yeah, you know, and it's just like everyone's just so accepting and it's just like a big family. And I think that's what is so beautiful about it, no doubt about it. And you guys are badass, so well, thank you, and I think everybody should experience your show and because that will be the best experience we ever had. That'd be amazing. Honestly, we want to play to everyone so love it. We're gonna get on that Sofi stage. There is going out there. It's happening next year. That's it. Come on, blood Stock. I can't wait to see you on the Sofa stage next year.

41 We'll see you then. And thanks for being on the Adventure as a plage. Thank you so much having us. Thank you very much, guys, thank you, thank you for listening to the Adventures of Fate Limb. I'm w for a CUI Radio
