04 Hey, you love them too, that's sure. I'm coming from four See why you wake up America. It's time for the Adventures. So pipe Man on W for cy dot com west pom Beats his number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe Man. Oh god, it's the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W for c Y Radio, and I'm here with enripa h. I love it. That's I'm excited for. I'm excited and I'm excited the way you do that, That's why I always have the band say it, because they always say it a lot cooler than I do. And then I don't fuck up the name. Have you done?

15 Gone? You can do it? Gone? Do it? Bery bah bah, let's hear her do it? See why is it? The females always have the more badass growl than the guys. So tell us how you got here. The Bloodstock we did the Metal to the Masses competition. We won the Bristol Heat, first time trying it, first time winning it one. Did that blow your mind or what? Oh? It was an absolute experience.

56 All the other bands of such fierce competition, we love them to bit, but we're so glad we were giving the opportunity over them, can't lie. I love it, and so I want to talk about your shirt for a second, because people have a misconception about metalheads are like, oh, they're scary. He's he's wearing a death metal shirt that is pink with an animal with rainbow tail and hair, which is really cool and I'm sure it's decad to Sophie too. Right, Absolutely, you've got a got to wear pink to Sylvie Lancaster, that's right. But I will be changing into black for the show. Keep the pink. You're rocking it, thank you so much. But I like my definite long sleeves when I play. That can't change. There you go. So tell us a little bit about your music, you know, not genre specific because that's bullshit that just locks artists in.

54 How do you guys describe your music for people that haven't heard you before. Again in the listen to it's just it's just fucking riffs, man, It's just riffs. It's slowing down, it's banging your head, it's knocking into someone. It's one of spin kicks on because it's so heavy, it's gurning your face off because it's just riffs, riffs, riffs. I love it. See, I'd rather be out there than here. After you just describe can always party in here. We'll do a second one in here. We'll just happen little space. Yeah, we could do a circle pit table. How funny would that be? Right? And so tell us you know kind of how this all started for me, I'm the only original member.

45 What brock? Well, at least you're not like a forty year old band with the only original man. No. Yeah, it started in twenty eighteen. I was at UNI, had a uniband because I study music, and then one by one of these people started dropping in, these people here retrobats. Yeah, before you know it, five years later we've got a solid lineup and yeah, we've just been kind of making our way through COVID, which is a tough one, and then out the other side of that it's just been go, go go. So yeah, yeah, that's tough to start in two downs and eighteen, you know, like my heart's out the bands at start around that time. Yeah, it was really rough, to be honest, because we're just starting to get somewhere, hads. You know, a couple of gigs lined up and then bam, everything's closed and back to square one. Then thank god we're now here at blood stuck and not there anymore. Right, Yeah, absolutely, absolutely tell me about your tech because I cut the attention. The one on my arm. It's a it's a Taoism symbol, but it's represented by an acoustic and electric guitar. So but I dug about it. I think I got it because I love o paths so much, and you know I'm a sucker for an acoustic too.

49 Yeah, and an Italian dude tattooed on me with a bunch of missing strings. I had to get it. Let's get it fixed. He towed four strings on the electric and five on the acoustic and they didn't even go over the fretboards properly. So yeah, that's pretty funny. So that's why it's got an extra bit around it as well. That's so funny. And let's describe other tattoos here. What's your favorite tattoo? My stomach piece. To be fair, it was the longest that I've had, so it's about nineteen hours in total. The tattoo artists is the living embodiment of an angel. She was so nice and it made it a lot easier to sit through a long session, Yeah, and was it painful for nineteen hours. The line work was the most painful bit, but the other two sessions were mainly shading, which was a lot easier to bath through. But I designed the piece in bloodstock last year and then passed that design onto her and she kind of made it into what it is today. It is a very cool like sometimes I look at the stomach tattoos, some of them like did you just like PLoP something there? But that looks like art so much badass I already appreciate, how about you. I'm probably gonna go for my little island tattoo the back of my legs representing my roots, just because it was done on my honeymoon. It's done where my family is from, and that's what it's gonna be about for me. Tattoos are just gonna be something that's important to you, exactly like when people say shit like it's not your business, it's about

20 me, it's not about you. That and my screw loose as well, and that's also that's also quite good having your screw this. It just lets people let's people know, you know what I mean? Safe explaining again and again, I have a couple of ex wives that should get that tattoo. I'll just show off my psychedelic Viking skull from when I lived in Norway. Nice, nice and simple. How about you? Do you have any I have none either, or so you're not alone. I thought you were looking too, so none. There's always time. I actually, you know, it's funny think about what you would get as a teenage er, and I think back there there was a tatto's gonna get as teenager. I decide not to. I'm like, thank god. And it wasn't anything major. It was just like I was going to get a New York hardcore and La hardcore because I was from both places and I was part of both scenes. And then I think about it today, like that was a bit stupid tattoo.

18 The amount of tattoos that I've had my partner tell me not to get and if I hadn't, i'd have, which we just were awful ideas rightly is a gods I was going to get like like wings on my heels for like like the Greek Roman gods. And I'm just saying, like, yeah, exactly, I can see you all cringing about it. Number of times. I part was just gone. If you get that, I'm literally leaving you the minute you walk back in the door. And you know what I went thought if I saw that, I thought we thought you were like a Flash fan. Yeah, here's the flash Ostead. So what's cool happening after blood Stuck? How are you going to top this? I think it's a new music time for us after blood Stock it's going to be. We've got loads of loads of songs working. We're working really hard on some new songs we want to get in the studio and we will get it out to people on both sides of the Atlantic and all over the world so we can really share our love from what we do and get people moving. Nice. I was gonna say, up to this point, we've just had music out with only me and agents for me and the basis out on the EP. So we've got three members. You haven't got anything of what we've released, not on any of the stuff that we released. So it's about time we all pitch him for something together and actually get our recent. Yeah you want to get paid, Yeah, good luck too, It's good luck. So that means the new music is going to be your guys best music. Oh hell yeah, man, it's always the better. It's always the better music, and then we write new stuff in the future that'll be better still. You know, it's funny about that. Like I'm an old school thrash metal head,

52 and when I hear James or Kirk talk about their favorite albums, I'm like, kill him all man, and like Kirky thing, which is obvious he thinks kill them all it's the worst mentalic album because that's not his music anyway, so obviously even think that. But and then James recently was like, I don't get why they play Seek and Destroy at the San Jose Sharks of my old version because I didn't know how to fucking sing, you know. But me, I'm like, that's a badass song and your voice was badass. But that that's an artist is. You gotta grow and evolve and get better. And so of course as an artist, you're not gonna think your first shit's the best. Some of your original fans would, but you know, you wouldn't have like masses of people at place like blood stuck if you're just stuck in the beginning. It's a tough one because if you buy something different, people ain't gonna like it. Buts if you stay the same, people ain't gonna like it exactly. It's a tricky one, isn't it.

54 You gotta do it for yourself. Yeah, at the end of the day, that's all matters, because you're not gonna please everybody. If you please yourself, it's going to portray in the music and people will love it for sure. That's what we're trying. That's what we're trying to do. You are going to say something too, right. Well, asides from the music, we've also got a lot of gigs coming up, yeah, any other edition. We've got a Deprivation first in Swindon coming up on the first. We're going to be playing a really cool show with Burner and Grief Ritual in on the twenty eighth of August. A couple of weeks, Yeah, a couple of weeks, but we're hoping to book up as many as we can throughout the year. Nice love it. How do people connect you on socials, on the web, and most importantly, buy your merch because bands don't survive today without merch and they can't listen to my show unless they buy band merch. So we mainly use Instagram and Facebook, so Moonery b Uk on our Instagram and our Facebook. There will be a link tree to all of our match stores online. Nice Any final words, am view, why give that we haven't covered our ray that they need to know about you? Make sure you listen to the pipe Man clearly, I love that. I say it saying look at that, and we'll see you again soon. See we will see you again soon. And man, thanks for being here at Bloodstock and thanks for being on the Adventures of pint Man. See you right up.

18 Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipe Man. I'm W four CUI Radio.
