04 Hey, you have unto y censure double see wow crazy you Wake up America. It's time for the Adventures of Pipe Man. I'll you four c why dot Com West Pompeas is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe Man. Get in. Give it a white trash girl chiking her walking down the street. She got nowhere out the base, set it out a car, trying to make this me making out money, get about food, a little walking ye needs take my lad mostly nuts down on her.
54 This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures Pipe Man. Don't four c y radio. And I'm gonna say that our next guest because I saw them like years ago here in South Florida and they were badass. And as soon as I saw the the new release, I'm like, we need to talk. So let's welcome to the show. Frankie from The Mary Tyler Horrors. How are you? How do you do my man? I'm doing great. The one thing, Hey, I love how her mohawk fits right on my plan. No, you got a nice hair? Do you going? I know right? So yeah, I mean I saw you guys years ago.
36 It was badass, and I think I went to the show because of the name of your band, I'll do it. You know. That's the old school way, right. It was like either you saw a picture or a name and you're like, oh, they look cool. You never had a chance to know yet, you just went to the shire. It was probably really fucked the flyer that lured you in. Yeah, no doubt, one hundred percent and then tripped me out. I see your new video and I see Aaron in it. I'm like, well that's pretty cool. So well, yeah, I mean that video is badass. So let let's start right there and talk about the video for White Trash Girl. We shot that before we got signed people. We put our heads together and just did it guerrilla style. We just went into LA and just kind of a little plan of what we're gonna do, and then editing took a lot of it. We have a friend who edits. But we called Aaron and I didn't think she would be able to do it, you know. We just called her behind my manager caller and you see you she'll do it. And she heard the band and said yeah, I'll definitely be in it. We're like, wow, man, that's that was fucking cool, you know, And she's a stand up person. You know, she's down to earth. She loved the band. She punk rock, came right in, filmed the whole day, didn't complain, hung out with all of us retarded fucking idiots in the band all day, and we shot it. Came out amazing, you know, best video we ever shot, you know, we said talented, Yeah, and editing it so it was badass and she did a great job in it.
09 And uh yeah, like the choice, Yeah, say that again is a great she was. She's an actress too, she's done acting before, and it's a couple of movies, pretty big movies, like side stuff, you know, so it was a natural for her. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And you didn't even have to put like, you know, take some actress that you had to make look like a punk rocker. She already was one. That was a big thing too. For sure. People don't know that she's she's punk man. She gets in there and interviews, brings punk bands that haven't been heard to the mainstream and brings them back. All about what she does. She's a very cool girl, absolutely one hundred and I love what the message she puts out there too, as somebody that's a punk rocker. Since the eighties, you know, like we need more people like her in punk rock instead of the people that are shouldn't be so I speak, screw all the A list crap. They already get all their publicity.
10 You know, if guys out there seventy years old playing punk rock and still doing it and has a following, I want them to be hurt. I'm all about that. Yeah, no doubt. So tell us the story about this single, because it's it's like a it's almost a true to life story. Yeah, you know, of course I'm going to get all the haters and all the crap that were chauvinistic and this and that. We never say anything bad about women or you know, we're the Mary tal of Horse. We are the wores. We don't say. We don't call any girls whores. I mean two of the guys in the band that have daughters, you know, but there's always someone who's going to say something, you know what I mean. But and the white trash girl thing, that was a real girl. That was her nickname in the hood we used to live in in Florida and back in the crack epidemic, and she was running around the hood rampant and I would talk to her. You know, I want to know a story. I knew all the characters in that neighborhood, and that was her name, White trash Girl. And then I just thought about her years later and wrote a song about her, and I ran into her again.
08 She cleaned up her life, so good good on her. You know. It wasn't like I'm calling anybody a white trash girl. People were badgering me for it right off the start, like, look at this condition, this guy in this ugly fucking punk rock tattooed guys making fun of girls. And it wasn't nothing about that. But everyone seems to think, you know, they want to put words in your mouth. That's part of the game. Though. You're not going to have success without the haters though, you know. But but yeah, it was a true life story. Yeah, and that's cool to hear that, you know, she cleaned up her life, because that doesn't always happen, you know. And back in the day in the eighties, I lived in la and I was I have slept on the floor of Motel Hell, which is the iconic homeless punk place, you know, and you know, like I think people that are not in the punk scene don't really understand the scene and the music and the lyrics most importantly.
09 So they'll give you hate because they see some you know s it's white trash girl, but they don't bother to look into it and find out what songs really about it. The punk rockers make fun of all everything, bad situations. That's what we do. You know. It's kind of like comedy, right exactly. Haven't heard anybody or put anyone down. It's just the way it is. It's the reality. Yeah, yeah, and you know what it's you know, it's a shame that even in today's society that you have to be careful of what you say in a song because people put the wrong meaning to it. Totally yep, and I gotta be careful with that too. But you know the name of the bands of the mary Tala Horse, you know what you're getting right off the bat. You know, we were really to be failures from the beginning. We never thought we'd go this far. We're getting a record deal and you know, we've gotten a lot better, our musicianship, the band members, everything, you know, So we put in our work definitely. So yeah, and so how does it feel to be with Golden Robot Records, because that's that's pretty badass. Yeah, I'm so thankful brother. You know, before we were signed to them, I knew about them. I research everything and I said, man, that's what I love to be in that label either. So they're about the artists. They don't screw you. Everything was you know, done correctly, and and sure enough, man, my manager shopped it and a week later we got like we got actually four offers after that video, and I said, I want to go Golden Rope, but I didn't want to look at the I didn't even care and I just felt it, you know, And
41 yeah, they signed us. It was quick, and that's doing a great job. That's the way it should be too. That's the way it should be. Just get feeling that it's the right connection. That's how I am with everything in life. Man. I just got to have a gut feeling and I just roll with it, you know. So yeah, they are the fact that they in fact that they take care of you, the artists, as far as listening to you and letting you have your creativity. See. To me, that's what Pump's all about too, you know, the whole idea. Mark Alexander had the balls to sign a band called the Marytyl of Whores in this day and age is right, it's pretty ballsy. So I like your off. You know, it's funny because uh so, I go on the road and I do coverage at different metal and punk festivals all over the world. And I was just at grasp Pop and I was laughing because mister Bungle was playing. And over here in America they play, you know, speak English or Die, but they don't say speak English. They say speak Spanish or Die, because God forbid you should say speak English or die in twenty twenty four, you know, so over at grasp Pop and in the part of Belgium it is they have a language called Flemish. Yeah, and so yep, and so they did the song speak Flemish or Die.
07 I believe they were around. Yeah. So it wasn't s O D because obviously Billy is not around anymore. But it's mister Bungle and they do the s O D cover. But now they change it, not say speak English. So wherever they are they say that language more PC. Right, yeah, exactly, can you believe? So tell us what else is going to be going on? Now? You got say that again? Billy's a maniac. I don't think you'd make it in today's age. No day one.
52 There's so many you know, there's so many I think of that would be canceled today, that were iconic, that brought us to where we are today. And I think punk rock should be about saying what you feel, saying what what's on your mind, saying what's going on in the world, and speaking up for it, not sitting there and keeping your mouth shut. Punk was never about that, absolutely never about that. I agree. You guys are the horrors, not the audience. That's why it's your name right right. I'm not calling anyone a horror. We are the Horse. Yeah, that's get that straight right off the bat when we signed all the press.
33 Yeah, so let us tell everybody how they can connect to you on social media's on the web, how they can get the new album that's coming out As Filthy as We Want to Be, and how they can check out White Trash Girl and everything else. Well, it's the Marytalahorores dot Com is a website and like Instagram, the Mary Tala Horores YouTube is the Mary Tala Horse and the album is as Filthy as We Want to Be. Is going to be out around October, like Halloween, so we're probably gonna pump out like three more singles maybe before then, and then the full album is gonna drop and there's some sick stuff on there. We got Angela more from Fishmowing on it. A lot of cool stuff, so a lot of heavy stuff, yeah, so a lot heavier than White Trash Girl. So there's a good mix of stuff on it. I love it. Yeah, I love it. And is there anything else you want to listeners to know about what's going on with you guys that they need to check out, you know, just the album's coming out, and uh, we're hoping for a tour right after that. You know, that's when you really get to see the whores and live is our thing. So yeah, I can't wait for that to come out and really connect with the crowd and people. And but you know, we got to put out those singles first to really so people get to know us more. That's about it. Well, Well, I'm definitely all about spraying the word because you guys were badass when I saw years ago, and you're even more badass now. This new music is incredible and everybody's got
05 to check you guys out and support you because I think you're one of the true punk rock bands in twenty twenty four compare to the og punk bands. Yeah, absolutely, man, I appreciate that. That's what we want right there. Yeah, I appreciate it. Yep, I appreciate it. And you guys are you guys are definitely it. I'll always support you, and I think my listeners should too. Thanks a lot for giving us great new music and giving me a great new mohawk. Here. I changed from blue because I got blues. I changed from blue to pink. I got the and I have my Mary Tyler Hoores mohawk. That's what I'm gonna call it.
56 Mohawk horse style. There it is. Thanks a lot, and thanks for being on the Adventures of pipe Man. Thank you brother. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipemin on w for c u I Radio.
