04 Hey, you have done to censure? Why crazy you? Whycoume of America. It's time for the Adventures of White Man on w four c Y dot com wispoon beat, his number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the white Man Man. What this is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man w por C Y Radio. And I'm here with fam on Fire.

00 And I gotta tell you, I had no interviews, so I was able to go up and watch on the screen like for like ten minutes your set. Fuck. I felt bad for you. Yeah, Oh my god, was it hot? Yeah? We're some Florida boys, and today was the hottest show we've ever played. You know what it's like to be a Florida person and come somewhere else and think it's too hot. It's weird, right, Yeah, I live in Florida. I'm here. I'm like, fuck this. I want to go back to Florida and cool off. Yeah that was ridiculous, right, it was. Yeah. I always I've been asking a lot artists, and you know, I always wonder how the fuck do you do it? Like, how do you get up there and do a show in this heat? Like you probably wait till afterwards to die.

44 We didn't even think about it, to be completely honest, there are some songs where I'm like, looking at ourselves, I'm like, fuck, we don't stop. We have thirty minutes to like make an impression, right, so we just song at their song, at their song, at the song, and so we don't stop. And I'm like, looking at the Sound'm like, when can I breathe? Right? Yeah, And like we're sitting there like sweat stripping everywhere in your eyes and shit, And I'm like, I'll sit up there saying or no. I'm like, don't pass out, don't pass out? Right, you're probably thinking the same thing. Literally, I thought I was gonna puke three songs in h I could see that too. And the eyes thing I've experienced that you know in prestents, it gets really hot. I was talking with John Skillett yesterday. We had an interview at Hellfest. It was one hundred and four degrees outside the press dent was black, and literally the whole interview, both of us are dripping down, but my eyes were burning. I couldn't even see him anymore. Like, and I'm thinking, you up on stage, you guys up on stage, and like is in that condition called hellest. It is Hellfest and it is hell yeah. It sounds like fucking hell yeah. That's uh. It's in France. It was last year, three hundred and sixty bands. Can you imagine seven days? That's so. I feel so bad for the people that a play like in one hundred and forty degree weather. I don't even know how you would do that, Like, I mean, so I'm thinking about that, like if you're if your eyes are burning like behind we're how the hell are you performing up there? Because that's not going away. I'm doing

15 a ten to fifteen min interview. Yeah, well, you know, we show up to impress people. We want to we want to press that crowd, so we're gonna do whatever we can. Really, well, you've obviously done that because you guys have grown pretty quick, and that you've been taken under the wing to do these DWP festivals. That says a lot. Yeah, Danny like cultivates bands and he's not putting you on festivals unless you're fucking good. Yeah, and we really appreciate him. Honestly, I've never met him before, but I would love to everything all the arts have told me, like just the way he treats artists well. Also, I'm not knocking anybody at all, but these are the best, most artist friendly festivals, right, exactly exactly, And I do all the festivals, and I agree with that. Even as press, you know treated better. You know, you got your own tent, I know, right. Yeah, I've had times where I had to sit down on the grass and interview bands, you know, like I just did in Orlando punkin Drublic. It's basically you can't do a backstage interviews there is no press tent. Figure it out. Yeah that's rough, right, Yeah, So tell our listeners who haven't heard you guys yet, what you're all about. How you describe your music, not from like oh let's put this band in this genre and lock them there.

38 More what the artist things, you know what. I'm gonna give this one a blake, all right, Yeah, I mean, great question. So we were about the same age, roughly on average, thirty years old, right, So we grew up with that nineties rock when you know, metal and rock was really big, moving into when pop became like the number one I'm talking about, so like the early two thousand, So we grew up kind of always all of us listening to heavy music, and then also pop music and rap. So I think it's a little bit ingrained in us. And then we did start out as a cover band, right. We took songs that were top forty hits, anything from at Cheerin to a Deell to litl Uzi, you know, rap stuff, and we made it our own. I think through doing so, we literally took famous songs and set them on fire. And so at our core we are a mix of you know, heavy music, something that taps into the emotions of aggression to let it out, and then also with the catchy melodies and something that gets stuck in your head. So that's exactly what famal Fire is. I love it, you know, I love it because now in twenty twenty three, it's cool to have all those different blends. Like I come from a time where it's like, oh, got be the gatekeeper, it must be pure, you know, it's bullshit, like we all have more influences, you know, Well, how are you ever going to push the needle if everyone's always like what we have right now is the best? You know. So I think there's a lot of great stuff happening in our scene, our genre over the last couple of years, and it's exciting to see where it's going, and we're grateful that we're a part of it. Yeah, I'm grateful you're a

11 part of it too, because I've seen you at multiple of the festivals, and I mean it's obvious why the heat killed you, because you guys let it all out on stage. It's hard not to. We're just so happy to be here. We love playing. It doesn't matter if it's two people, two hundred people, two thousand people. We give it all, leave it on the dance floor. So how'd you guys all meet? Cause I don't think it was like grade school? Yeah, we actually just met outside the show about like an hour ago. Nice. Yeah, Actually, so three out of the four of us, so Brian, myself, and Alex. We all knew each other from grade school. Middle school are where we lived a little community in South Florida. It was like my house and across the street was his Alex neighborhood. Then across street was Brian's neighborhood. So US three for a long time, and then probably what twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen ish is when Paul about because Paul and Brian are audio engineers, so they started a studio together and the rest is history. What is the craziest shit that's happened in your musical journey, music performance, No musical journey, crazy it's happened. I mean, I'm not gonna give I'm not going to try and be like a pr guy here or anything. But I was actually just talking about this with my girlfriend right before we played that. You know, there's all these goals to accomplish and achieve, right, like we're going to the next thing. We're always looking at the next thing. But I feel like we don't do a good enough job at stopping and looking at whether or not we're in our moment. And I think just the fact that you know, we're currently on our first headlining tour nice right, So last night with San Diego sold out super cool? Wow, and then today is a

44 Danny Wimmer festival, Like that's freaking awesome. Does it blow your mind that already somewhere nowhere near home you're selling out? It's insane, right, absolutely insane, But you know what, it makes it feel like a home away from home, especially because we're starting to see some familiar faces and that's always a blast. I think a big part of it too, is and I can tell by looking at you guys, like the camaraderie. Not all bands have that, and that makes it rough and it's apparent on stage. That's the key. Yeah, yeah, it's a I mean, we all try and hold each other accountable. We love each other, we hate each other, we know how to get under each other's skin. But at the same time, it's we're it's a relationship, right, Like you gotta exactly how you are with your partner, like this is. These are our partners.

30 So absolutely, we just gotta treat each other nicely. And we've come this far. And how do people connect to you guys on socials on the web by your merch all that cool shit. You can just google fame on fire band or just fame on fire I think we're gonna pop up. Everything's on fameonfireband dot com though, so go there. We couldn't get the normal fame on fire The guy I wanted too much money for it, fuck him, So yeah, fuck that guy. So famonfireband dot com. It is, uh, And then you can find us on Instagram, famalfire, Twitter, fame a or ax, whatever the fuck is called. It's I can't stand my X. Shit, man, none of us know what that even it's stupid. Guys are sick. I keep getting these notifications X formally Twitter, and that even annoys me more. It's like, okay, like what are you doing and what you're supposed to say? Now? You can't tweet on X. Whether it X marks the spot, I don't know. Yeah, right, so anything else you want the listeners to know that we haven't covered already. We got a third album in the works right now, nice and we're really excited for it. But other than that, no, just come to a show, come hang out. We're about to go out with Pop Evil, so one of those shows that'd be fucking cool. This our headline s toward is pretty much over and we have four more shows and they're almost all sold out, so hell yeah, love it. Well, you guys rock. You need to go cool down, drink a lot of water and

00 relax and have a good time the rest of the day because you let it all out on stage and it's boiling heat and you deserve it. So thank you for being here and thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. Thank you for having us, thank you for listening to the Adventures of pipemin on W for Cui Radio
