04 Hey, you love them too? Sure? From four C Wow, you wake up of America. It's time for the Adventures of Pipe Man on W four C Y do com Weist Pong beats his number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man, the Chops Saucy gonna make you otstop. Got the rock turning, No, but I don't think it's soundings the Bops turning its pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four C Y Radio, and I'm here with Elias Soriano from the band Non Points. Almost just choked on my own spit. And see that's why I love bands saying their name because they always do stuff like that. Yes, it makes it cool. Ruin an intro. They always do things like ruin their own intro.

15 It could be worse, like if I butcher. I don't think it could have been worse than what just happened. I literally just almost choked on a giant loogie. Well, you know, get it out now, because don't do that up on stage, by the way, like all your female comed out. As soon as I said the word loogie, I know right then I followed it up with moist. Oh god, look what is he doing? He's using every bad gross word. I love it in the human language. Yeah, and welcome back to South Florida. Thank you, thank you. You brought this like blazing heat with you here. I think it was here already. Man, don't be putting this on me. Man, don't you put this on me. Don't you put that hex on me?

55 Ricky, Bobby, They're like Elias is coming back to South Florida. Let's earned the place to the ground. Yes, please, let's have a trrential downpour rains and then hit him with that ninety eight degree heat. I was humidity so good, it's only I thought it was only at least only ninety seven percent. So you can at least swim to your car and don't talk about the rain, okay, because there night I was here for a show and it had, you know, the Florida sideways rains. Yeah, oh my god, it sucks. Yeah. No, that's the good kind of rain. That way, you could put your window down and wash the interior of your car quickly. Oh there you go. Yeah. Man, So I'm gonna ask you something funny. Then, has anybody yet ask you if you're gonna do what Randy did? I'm actually you know what's funny is that I was just talking about the fact that my dress have gotten to the point where I really have to at least shorten them a bit. They are super long. Yeah, I'm like, how do they get that long? Yeah?

58 They just grow. I'm a hair farmer. Um, I'm probably gonna cut about a foot off of them, right, which probably won't look that much. It's not probably not gonna look at that. Ever, You're not gonna shave your head. No, I'm good on that. It's it's it's a fun thing to have flipping around on stage. I have fun with it. Well, you know that's what I was thinking, Okay, because I used to have hair down to my waist and then short hair, and it's like headbanging kind of sucks with short hair. So I'm like, how do you shave your head and then still headbanging like that on stage? Man? I don't know. I need the leverage, right so that way I don't hurt myself any further than I already had. So I need that kind of like give I need that EBB and flow. I can't just be ebbing, that's right. I'm just I need more than just the EBB but the hair helps you to not go too far. It's like the hair is doing it's that your head. It's almost like that friend that puts his hand on your shoulder and goes, all right, man, that's enough tonight you've had.

00 That's that's it. Put heineken down down. It switching to beer isn't going to fix it. Put the Heineken down. And that happens a lot in Fort Lickerdale, as you know, Oh I know, born and raised. You know. It's funny because I think I said it to Sean about Fort Lacerdale and she laughed because I don't think she understood the reference of Fort Lakerdale because that goes way back. Yeah, downtown Fort Lauderdale is is quite the quite the event place. Oh yeah, remember back in the day when when they had like the strip before they redid the strip and ye spring break it was. It was back when it was a two way street, yes, and not a one way street. Yeah. I hate the one way thing.

45 Yeah, the one well it keeps it keeps the riff raft off of the beach. It keeps them off my lawn too. I don't like them on my lawn either. So if you were to go back to those days. What's your favorite Fort Lauderdale or West pomp Beach venue that you've played that you have like a memory of there were it was a very close Oh man, See that's tough, right, Yeah, I'll tell you what. I got to name the ones that all did us right obviously, Um, and everyone that's listening that's that grew up in South Florida will get this. In Coconut Grove there was the Chili Pepper, and at the time there was also a Chili Pepper in Fort Lauderdale that was previously the Edge that eventually turned into Revolution. Yeah. Um, so we had the Chili Pepper in Coconut Grove, we had the Chili Pepper in Fort Lauderdale, and then we had Button South Hellendale that was really where a lot of like some of our big shows we played with stuck Mojo there. Um, you know, but when you look at small clubs that really helped Non Point get to where we got, I'd say like Club Q and U, even Roses down in South Beach where first show that I ever played in my life, and places like Food Bar

19 that were you know, where we got signed out of literally where we had a nice shit ton of labels come out and see us that that evening. So I can't just say one club because at that time it was just a scene and everyone was just we would just shift right wherever the party was, and whoever was headlining was headlining, and we didn't care. We just wanted to be on the show. And sometimes we headlines, sometimes they headline, and then every once in a while we get a national and then they come in and go, what the hell's going on down here? And then that's how the South. Yeah, I used to let going the Metal Factory.

00 Yeah, Metal Factor was another one. Yeah, that one was cool. And then there was one I can't remember the name of him, Boynton Beach where like you know, I don't think it was one. Yeah, I remember Spanky's that's now respectable yet, that's right, that's right. So there was a place in Boynton Beach that like the Dead Cannedies played, the Circle Jerks played, and like a bunch of bands and it was like just random because it was just like in the middle of Poynton Beach, like nobody would even know it's there. Wow. Yeah, I don't, I don't, I can't remember. I know my drummer Rob would remember probably, yeah, he's the almanac. So now fast forward, we got a new EP, Badass million watts. Yes, and uh, I noticed two songs on that EP. Let's see who else on this is have the word tiger in them?

54 Have the word tiger in them? Yeah, like there was a mine of songs is named with tiger. And then the second song, Heartless, Oh, yes, says the word tiger in it. Yes, yes, yes, I got tiger on the brain, I guess. So, yeah, that's what I was thinking. I was like, and he wants to be thinking about tigers or the Tiger King. Yes, yes, you could be. You could be the official band of the Tiger King. Yes, yes, I'm all right with that. So how you feel about this tour? This is a cool ass tour. It's good, it's good. Today's the first day, so we'll see, we'll see. I'm excited to just be torn with buddies. Yeah, that's what it's about, right, that's really really fun. I've been doing this long enough that we've played all sorts of shows. It's just really cool to tour with friends. I think a lot of people don't realize, like, when you're in this industry, you know, it's like they be. That's has become your like circles. So you're touring with these bands and they become your friends or if you don't like them, that's not very fun either. Yeah. Yeah, Okay, that's a long tour. Yeah, and you'll most likely run into them again somewhere down the line, exactly. Yeah. We like to make friends out of here. Is there any of the bands on this tour you haven't played with before? No, So that's cool. It's like a family reunion. Yeah.

16 Basically, one way or another way, you played with everybody. Of course, what else is gonna be going on down the road for you guys? We got the Muti Maine tour and then we are going to South America. Nice, and then we are going to drop another song, release the EP, and then do a headlining run to support it to round out the year. Nice unless we get picked up for support, which I have to say too. I was looking at all the merch and it's really badass. Thank you. I love that you have cassettes. Yes, it's becoming a thing. I think since COVID it's become a thing because nobody can get the vinyl. It's a shortage and vinyl, so many bands on was air and viewing. Yeah, we just decided to do cassette because we can't get the vinyl. Yeah. Well, our first record was was on cassette. It was on cassette and CD. So we decided to go nostalgia. Nice.

18 And I saw even as I was walking on the bus here the non point skate decks. Those are cool. Yeah, yeah, those are free with the VIP. Oh look at that. Yeah. So anybody goes on the rest of the tour if they on this tour, if you get the VIP, you get a bit of every bit of merch that we have out there, including a limited edition skate deck. And there's only I think I think about a hundred because the VIPs are limited because bringing them on the bus. Yeah, because they also get a bus visit. So I can't have one hundred people on the bus. No, that would that would be insane. It would absolutely never can imagine a hundred people right now. Never. I'll be standing outside watch it through the window. That's right. So tell us the funniest story in your musical career. Uh, that's a little general, but let me dig here. That's why I want to do that so you can think funniest, funniest moment um. Okay, the funniest story that I've ever heard in my music career. Okay, I happened to my guitar player Rushi. I'm somewhat involved because my brother was was part of the problem.

37 So we're on ship rocked. I'll try to do it quick. We're on ship rocked. My brother is partying with Rushi, my guitar player. Three o'clock in the morning, they go to like six walk back to the room. If you know anything about cruise ships, the water out of the faucet and the water out of the catering area and the general food area isn't the best water. Yeah, tastes kind of chlorinated. So they allow you to bring bottles of water. Well, my brother, being who he is ex militaries, you know, police who he is, he decides to bring some bottles of rum onto the boat and closes them up, pretending their water water.

26 So as the night is morning is finishing up with my brother and Rashid, Rushi goes, god, I wish I had some water. My brother goes, hey, no problem, don't worry about it. I got big bottles of water, right over here. I got Jack, gives him a bottle of water, hands him the bottle of water. She goes back to his room, passes out. Two o'clock in the afternoon. Rashida rises, goes, oh, I'm so parched, I got that bottle of water, walks over, grabs a bottle of water, cracks it open, blind gulp. I'm talking like the kind where you're just like just came out of a desert. You see an ice cold bottle of water, and you take it right to the head, right, cracks it open, not even thinking.

13 Takes about two click, realizes that it's rum, runs into the bathroom, sets the bottle down, runs into the bathroom. Ah starts screaming and yelling. His girlfriend wakes up. What's going on. He goes, get me a bottle of water, Get me a bottle of water. She runs over, grabs the same bottle of water, hands it to him. He takes two big gulfo say fucking battle of water, and he was instantly drunk again. Oh my god, instantly, Yeah, that's so metal. That was yeah, that was the worst. Like literally I saw him like twenty minutes later. I was like, hey, how are you doing? He goes, I'm drunk again thanks to your brother, Like, what what happened?

01 And then he told me the story. Oh I love it. Yeah, I love it. I love it that you guys are here in West Palm Beach, South Florida, and uh, you can't kick ass here. I think, I think, I think financial. There's been so many names to this sympathy. I think that's all you gotta say. It's the I think so. Uh and listen, first night of tour. I love first nights of tours because it's real. Yeah, at that point, it's not polished yet and it's just raw, real shit. So what can we expect from non point tonight? You know, a non point set, sweat, energy, crowd participation and uh, sprinkles of red. I love it, and it will be lots of sweat because it's freaking hot out there. But hey, anything else you want to tell the listeners before we go? Uh?

56 No, right now outside of just you know, getting over our dot com right now, we have a whole new community moving over there. With your purchases in our store, you receive cokey coins, which is our little frog guy. We got coins that you gather and it allows you not only discounts on merch. But eventually you're going to get access to what we call the front Lounge, which is a whole back end to the dot com where people will be able to talk with us interact. There'll be news that you hear first there that won't even be going up on the socials until it actually happens. So we're going to be feeding that community that really supports the band with all the insight, and that's where it's going to be. So if you're not following the newsletter, if you haven't signed up for the newsletter, go over to nonpoint dot com right now. Sign up for the newsletter. We send out one once a week to you guys, so that way you know what's going on and when we're coming. Nice. Love it. And you just brought me back to I go surfing and Ring Cone and I remember the first time I went there and I heard those cookey yeah making that sound, like what the fuck is that? And somebody told me it's like NonStop.

07 It's just like somebody just came to visit me here in Florida. And you know how we have those bugs that make the constant sound. I forget the name right now She's like, how do you live like this? Like it's all the time. I'm like, I don't even know what happens anymore. It's exactly. Yeah, when you leave Puerto Rico, you can't see I know it's at once. I was there for a while. I was like, huh, I like it, and now I miss it, and you brought it up, so you brought me back, all right. I can't wait for the set tonight. And I hope you have an amazing tour. I know you will. And thanks for being on the Adventures plate Man. I appreciate you. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of plate Man.

49 I'm W four CUI Radio.
