04 Hey, you love thee too, is sus sure? I'm come from four see why you wake up America. It's time for the Adventures. So pipe Man on W four cy dot com. West Pond Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man Choke on these Lives.

52 This is is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio. And I'm here with Jarry from Drowned Nice. I want to start off right off the bat. We're here at Bloodstock, but I'm looking at your tats on your fingers, all right, And I'm from eighties metal and eighties punk, and I remember me and my bro always saying, you know, whatever we're gonna do stupid. We're like, it doesn't matter. The whole world's gonna blow up in nineteen eighty four anyway, So who cares now, George orwell, reference Sam a little book. I'm sure you're moren't aware. So yeah, a good idea at the time. Anyway, sir, I love it, So tell us a little bit about your band, and you know how you describe your music? Nana in genre No, because I hate that ship. Because artists shouldn't be boxed into a genre and they should just be imaginative, creative and express themselves. So tell us. I mean it's quite heavy. It's not like a generic s or a metal band here, but yeah, it's a lot of people compared to say nine each now is a bit bit man Tody Iven, Gary New, a lot of electronics, se sizes, live drums, heavy guitars. So yeah, it's a pretty dynamic, sort of dynamic sound and it definitely grabs your attention.

07 That's sure. Like it or not? So I love you? And so what was the road that led you to blow blood stuff? We won the medal to the Masses Merlin Keynes. Yeah, so we've done three of them, yeah, one each one and yeah here we are so blow your mind? Did you expect to win? About? I hope it was too fair. We didn't even expect to win at all. We basically did it so we could book some shows because it's a great for like corporate arms of Wicked venue. But yeah, then we just kept winning and then we won, so it's all good works at our favor. So so yeah, so way to feel like in your head in your heart when they announced you were the winner. It was good to be fair, Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's just a bit of recognition. We've got to realize all the hard works worth E're more aware's a lot of effort goes into yeah, get keeping the band together and all that sort of stuff. So yeah, it was very happy and what a great festival to start off with. As far as festivals, blood st Yeah, I've only been here once. I played here a bag called Sulfa about three or four years ago, but I've always been aware of it. It's yeah, it's just a great It's a great place for your sort of family vibe to it everyone. It's just helpful and supportive of new music as well. Yeah, just great. Yeah, I love what they do that got you here or you know, doing those metals and the Masses contest. Because I do a lot of festivals. I love this one for that reason and for what you said, the whole family atmosphere.

31 It's more than any other festival. Yeah, it seems like a nurture bands afterwards as well. They're going to a bigger stage next year maybe, or it just gives you a bit more recognition and people more interest bookers for shows as well. So yeah, it's all a good thing. So now we're gonna do. We're gonna do the top blood stuff. We're gonna do something that hopefully come back next year on a bigger stage. Yeah, we go just just book more shows for next year as well. We'll different festivals. So hopefully this is the stepping stone to do that. Yeah, they cool ship coming up after this, We've got We've got a little gig next Friday. We're doing it but in Northampton. We're supporting a band there. But we've got a few more books up for next year. I announce soon. But it's all looking good. So it's going on the right, on the right lines anyway. So when you started getting into music, what didn't you envision you want that to look like? I don't just I don't know, man, This thing come about like a compulsive creation, this sort of this band, and yeah, we're sort of turned into what it is live.

32 I mean, like the rest of the guys are absolutely savage or if you come and see us later on, we'll address out of liquid latex and put on a proper show. So I love that, by the way. Yeah, it's like not man, a lot of stuff's visual. People buy into that ship and if you're fucking rubbish. People like our things look as well. So if you can try and combine them both, half a chance, no doubt, because you know, to me, if I'm going to a show, it's a whole performance, and like you said, visual too, because otherwise you can just sit home and listen to music. That's the thing. Yeah, I agree. So I'm glad to hear that, you know, And you see a lot more bands doing that nowadays, and you know, some of the old school because I am old school, but I don't think that's the way the gatekeepers are, like, you should just get up there your music. No, it's a performance. That's why it's called the performance. Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah, yeah, so it should be interesting in anyway. So what made you come up with the idea of how you do your live performance and how you look Just it kind of looked quite organic, really, but we just whenever we play live, it's always volatile and although we have like backing checks, I lit synthesize that it's still quite still very live. There's a lot could still go wrong, and it's yeah, it's just good fun. I mean, like everyone jumps and yeah, it's just a high energy sort of performance. Love it pretty carfart, you know. I mean, so things get smashed up. Well, yeah, we'll see. So electrolys paid the price. So, speaking on that,

03 what's the craziest thing that's happened that one of your shows? Crazy? Just I don't know, I really sort of get like lost it a little weird looking merry little mind, but just so, I think Richards fell off the stage before leaping about, but I thought he jumped off. It looked looked great. I gotta style that one out. But just chaos, chaos is good. I was watching a festival body count and Vincent Price and guitars. He went to jump off the stage, broke his leg. He was on the ground and just continued playing to a set was over, and then they took him out to mend them. Respect No doubt right that that's freaking metal right there. Definitely, So besides nine inch Nails, besides Maryland or their ain bands that you would like to tour with anyone, So like a similar kind of ilk to us. I'm trying to think while you're listened to at the moment, I don't know when you go what bands are listen listened?

00 Loads of weird orchestra instrumental stuff at a minute, so I don't fit in support and something like that. But yeah, I said the dream would be nice now as a Manson kind of thing. Yeah, or ministry, Yeah, ministry if I do puts in front of a few people out with yeah, yeah, of course, yeah, ministry, skinny puppy. Obviously they're just doing their last supposed he last tour. Yes, it's always supposed. It's always the last one on it here. Keep bringing the money in, baby, I know, and you know, I can't blame them. It's what you do for a living. Which brings me to another point. It's like so difficult nowadays for artists like you to make money. I always tell my listeners they cannot listen to my show and listen they buy merch because that's the only way you survive. Yes, yes, so let's tell them how they connect you on socials on the web. If you have merged by it, check out your music, all that good stuff. So yeah, so we found quite bad with marketing. The band got Spotify links I can put out there, and I've got some merch in the back of the car depending on the swag. But yeah, so you found it's more happy to just get supporting people to listen to music. I mean you can, yeah, making money a bit of pipe you with this sort of stuff. But yeah, are is the band on socials? And like, yeah, tell them what you're instance Facebook whatever it is. Yeah, it's on Facebook, Instagram. So just just drowned music. Okay, you'll be to find it's nice and easy. I'm still streaming all different streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Music,

30 band Camp. You can go and buy our music on there as well if they feel that way in clients. Yeah, you can find us easy cool and so is there anything you want to listeners to know that we haven't covered about your band and what's coming up or anything. I think all good man. We're just happy to be well, rehearsed up, ready to go. So you're gonna kick her ass, right, I think we're gonna have a good guy anyway. So I love it. Well, thanks for you know, being at Bloodstock, I mean and winning that means you're bad ass. And thanks for being on the event. There's a pinate man. Yes, now you're talking. I thank you very much. We appreciate your time. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pate Man. Im w for Cui radio,
