04 Hey, you love them too, that's sure. See why you wake up America. It's time for the Adventures. So pipe Man on W four cy dot com. West pom Beats is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man. Don't know that you don't know that's all rang girl runs and your things. I know that you blame. This is pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio and I'm here with Time Store Riot. I love it, you know, listen, I saw that name walking somewhere to get to a president, like in the campground.

03 I think you guys have a thing in the campground and seeing it every day. Yeah, and you know Dimebags girl has a booth here. Oh really. So it's like it made me stop and think for a second, is that heard? Oh no, that's that band. But so that that's cool and it reminds me of being a little kid because I used to go to five and dime. Right, that's what we get that a lot. I know, I bet you do right right, So tell us a little bit about you guys. You're you're obviously here at Rock Oklahoma, which freaking rocks, but for our listeners have never heard you guys, how would you, as the artists, paint the picture for them instead of the genre labeling bullshit. Sure, we're just a high energy rock band with a little bit of retro, a little bit of modern. So we just we like to have a good time. So I mean, if you're into really good rock and roll music, you'll will love our music. I love it. And you know what I love about that is just rock and roll, man.

07 You know, it's like that doesn't happen anymore. It's like, well, listen's underground minor rock with alternative industrial vibe genre, too many subrets, you know, it's like it's just rock and roll, man, that's all. Let her say it into the mic. It is. It is just really rock and roll. I do want to give Adam, who was just speaking, some credit. He's got some soaring vocals that you know, you just can't five find at the normal five and dime. Right, I love it. So tell me the story of the road to rock Lahoma. Well, it was a bit of a surprise. We were a late ad. Yeah, you know, this band is this band has come together from musicians of other well established bands in the region, and we're fairly new in this iteration.

01 And so a few weeks ago when a couple of bands dropped off, we were we're surprised to get a call, but they say, you guys interested in coming and being part of Oklahoma twenty three And we're like, hell yeah, did you have to think about it for a second, Like yeah, yet we pretty much knew that was a confirmation. I know, right. We really appreciate Doug Burgess at dB concert stage and over at the Roadhouse for bringing us on over here and believing in us. I dig the vibe over there, Like I like the vibe there better than the main stage. Man, It's like such a cool vibe and people people are really into it. You don't have the people that like stood up at the wall all day long that are just with their arms folded watching, Like why were you up at the rail or the wall all day long if you're not gonna get into it? But well, i'll tell you what. It wasn't like that last night with Lynn Biscuit. That was oh well that's base. But but think of what he said too. He was like, hell, is this men my ship? He kind of worked up, so shout out to him.

03 They definitely had a high energy down there in that pit. I have to tell you mad respect, because I really wasn't you know, I wasn't sure if I cared if I saw a limb Biscuit last night. And then when I was there, I was like, mad respect, mad respect for coming out in the crowd with everybody. Ain't did for a long time, like some will do it, they'll come out there. He was just like everywhere in the crowd, so mad respect forever. And the thing I liked about limb Biscuit was that you went ever setting up you didn't see like this big over the top stage set up right. It was very bare bones. They were just I mean, it was just them limp Biscuit, and they really brought the show. I mean when he came out into the crowd, I was out there in my seats, out in the crowd three rows back.

51 He was right in front of us. I mean, he was out there with the crowd just just you know, living his life. Man. It was really really good, so I enjoyed it. I did get a little nervous in the beginning when he said let's party like it's nineteen ninety. I know we're not gonna twice down, Like yeah, like though, we don't want and yeah we got that. We got that for sure. I was like, Wow, we don't want to burn Rockklahoma down. I mean I don't think we do anyway. Well maybe not because it's a cool ass festival. Yeah, like there's others I might, Yeah, you can burn that one down, but this festival, no, not at all. This is a badass festival. So yeah, as the newest member of the band, I'm the drummer. My name's Brian And you know, Limp Bisky, the drummer, was right there, right up front of the stage, and I was right in front of him the whole time, and I was loving it.

44 It was amazing. And this festival has been just absolutely amazing. And you know, there's a lot of people out here and they're grinding through all the heat and they're just rocking out and it's so amazing. Did you see Portnoy's Sun the other night playing drums? I did, Yeah, tell me what you notice about his drum one of his types of drums there, because I was hanging outside stage with the drummer of even in Death and we were talking about one particular part of his drum set that was like it was so badass that he was doing a Google search to find it. No, now, if you went back with this in mind, his snare had like the best sound like I've ever heard in a snare, no matter what, it was like just amazing. So now, if there's videos of that set somewhere, find it and as a drummer, go check it out and see if you heard what we heard perfect there you gone. So as it feel to be like new in the band and here now here at Rock Oklahoma, and you know you're you're the one that has to, you know, make up for Limp Biscuit because you know everybody came here to see you guys, not Limp Biscuit, well as the newest member of the band. Like, I am so blessed and just thankful that my first show with Dime Store Riot was

17 Rock Oklahoma. And We've got so many other shows on the bill already that are just big, awesome shows, and I'm just super excited to be a part of the team. Love it. How about how about that campground here? Like, oh my god, any festival I do, all the festivals, there's no camping Mike, Rock Oklahoma. I think that's what makes this festival very unique. There's a lot of major music festivals, I'm sure out in Europe there's some things like this, but in the United States, to have camping on side of seventy plus thousand people and that party well into the wee hours of the morning. We were trying to rest for this show, and we were still up at five am, not because we wanted to be right, because it was just so dang loud. So yeah, yeah, I was surprised. I was surprised at the Strip campsite got shut down last night. I don't know what happened. I just didn't see it open.

13 It didn't get shut down at our camp. It was going till five six this morning. But you know which one I'm talking about, the Strip Club one. That one wasn't ugoing last night for some reason. So that's why where all those people came from. They were their camp wasn't too far from there, That's what That's why I was like, their parties just moved over. Yeah, I think you got you got DJ and all kinds of stuff. You got the Strip, you got the Strip Club people. I think so. I think so so. Where I was my neighbors who have been my neighbors for a couple of years or cool as shit. Have that big school bus with the deck built on top. Have you seen it? Yeah, it's it's way cool. And that place was hopping last night too, give it out free moonshine and I think the party night. You know, No, there were people that were still partying at like five, which is unfortunate because we had to kind of, you know, take it easy on Saturday night because we had an early morning shows. So it's rock and roll.

13 Yeah, yeah, there is no taking easy. We try. So now, how are you going to top this? I mean, every every shows a new opportunity to take it to the next level. So we just got to reach higher and you know, go harder. Nice. Yeah, we've here. I'll let Paula take it. You want to talk about our next show, She's like, thanks a lot, guys. So for everyone that did attend Oklahoma, are who are still here? Dime Store right, We'll be playing with Josie Scott Saliva at the end of September and Tulsa. We've got a couple more shows coming up. I don't know if you've heard of the band Mojo Moji. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, So we're lined up with them to play in October. Nice. I believe those are the members of Scott Wiland's been Yeah Collected Soul. Yeah, that's that's way cool. Uh it's not a confirmed, but we're like not a nine point five. Well, we're gonna put their put out there universe, so lacunic Oil and Fear Factor. So we're supposed to be playing with them in Oklahoma City, so tune in for that one. Christina is like one of the coolest people in metal there is, Like, so that would be weight.

28 I love it. So crazy story. What's the craziest story that you've had in your musical journey? I'll let you go CJ. He's like, uh uh okay, they're all they're all escaping this the new the Newvie has to do it. The craziest story, Well, from a previous band, we had a bass player not not not pull It not with Dime Store right, but he had an adrenaline issue where his body would just send adrenaline to him and he was just acting a fool, acting crazy and we couldn't get him to calm down. He's trying to get in a fight and he just full on ran headfirst into the band trailer and knocked himself out. I love you had to take him to the hospital. We're like, what is happening now? Don't see how? It is a cool story. I'm glad they gave that one to you. I like, he's everything's all cool, he's good. Well that's good. But you know, stupid is a stupid does?

39 Uh? You know what? I just thought of something. You guys should like go to Rita's booth and say, hey, you should have a band signing for us at your booth, you know, because she's doing the dimebag stuff and you're dime store, right, and it's like that. I'm trying to freaking remember because you know, you know how it is when you walk around, Yeah, it's it's at Yeah, do you know where it is? Yeah, we walked past it. We might have partaken on a few of those frozen dakris up there earlier. And it's not too far from that place there you go, So you just go up to me, Hey, we're dime Store Riot. We'd love to do a signing here, right, that's a good angle. It's a busy booth too, Like every festival I've seen her booth at man, it's busy from the beginning to end.

30 So, speaking of which, how do people reach out to you guys on socials, on the web, and most importantly by your merch so dime Store Riot Band. If you search that on the web, you're gonna come up with almost all the social media We're on Spotify, of course, all the streaming services, and we are current. We're gonna launch a dime Store Riot Band merch site in the coming weeks, so they can do that or just contact us direct at dime Store Riot Band at Gmail. But if you search that name, then you'll come up with all of our social links. There you go. I love it. Is there anything we want to tell the listeners? We haven't covered a rate that they need to know about you guys, except that you got a new tattoo. Check out our Spotify and make sure you follow us on Spotify, that's the most important thing. You can check out our Facebook and follow us there as well. And we appreciate you guys and love you. And my last thing is, so how badass was that? Proud for you for being so early on a Sunday morning after Saturday night all night party. You know what it was? A really good crowd for being Sunday morning after a party night. It was a really good crowd.

39 So a lot of people came through for us that said they'd be here. Nice, great support, Love Oklahoma and can't say anything about about it. The crowd was amazing. Well, we love that you were here and thanks for being on the Adventures play man, Thank you so much. Thank you for listening to the Adventure So right Man m W four CUI Radio, m
