0:04 Hey, you have done to censure? Wow for you you whycoume America. It's time for the Adventures of Pipe Man on W four c HY dot com withis pomp Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe. Man lost some circle another another double from the ball.
0:56 I'm sure it's pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio. And I'm here with Johnny from Damn Nick Nice. How you doing, brother? I am doing great. I love first I love your fucking logo. Man, Thank you. That logo is bad ass. Bro, Thank you man, and man, you're here louder than life. Crazy, right, I can't believe what was that like? Bro? It was a dream come true. Man, it was. It was crazy. I've done so many festivals. I'm a bass player. I played for a bunch of people, man, so I've gotten muddy before and done it with a smile on my face. But today was different. Man. It was amazing. Bro. I take I'm taking it all in right now. Can you believe that crowd after a hurricane with it raining now early in the day.
1:40 They were turned right, they were there. Man. I was shocked. I didn't I thought it was gonna be ten people, man, but I looked up and it was about one hundred and two hundred three hundred. It might have been more, man, but it was crazy, dude. It was a good one. Man. They had fun. It was good for us to introduce ourselves to them and showing what we're capable of. It was cool. Nice. And so tell me, or tell our listeners who have never heard you, guys, how you would describe your music, man. So for me, I know Tim would have another explanation, but for me, it's just raw, unfiltered, in your face, emotional, hateful, feel with love, just a bunch of everything, man, like how you would.
2:26 Feel, or at least how I feel. It's just me. It's how I feel inside. I love it. So I'm just giving people the most rawless form of my emotions I can. And I kind of like, I see you guys, and let's see you guys. And it reminds me of the old school OC punk scene. Man. Sick, bro, yeah, sick like that. I mean the first video I ever saw you guys, I'm like, holy shit, that's just like the old days, man, and there's not much of that nowadays. Well, that's kind of what we're just bringing out man like we didn't mean to, we didn't ask. Is just when you get together and a bunch of dudes just playing and why bother, why add anything to it? So for today, no, no nothing man, just base, treble tilm, no delay, no reverbs, just like how we started, so kind of like getting back to the basics, but filling it with every emotion you can as a grown adult.
3:20 A lot of pain and anks man in life. So it's fun to play with those emotions. Well, you know a lot of people think, okay, once you become a dull way you're gonna write about because you don't have that angs. I think you have more angs. Yeah, okay, because you have your teenage angs and then your adult bullshit anks that goes it piles on the No. One tells you man, Like I'm thirty seven, so no one tells you. When you get older you start to get pissed off at childhood shit, childhood trauma and all type like what the fuck was that? Like you, no one warns you. So for me, I'm grateful to have that outlet of just being a writer and having a basement to myself and just being able to just really just put together thoughts and then Tim comes with his own love and experiences in life. So we just put the two together, man, and don't don't no restrictions.
4:08 Just create. See that's the way it should be. That's what music should be. And listen. It's the best therapy for you the musician, and it's the best therapy for me attending. Like going in that pit. You could get a lot of shit out in that pit, right. I did that last week I was as Slayer played another festival. Unfortunately, people will be pissed because they didn't play last night, but they will be at Aftershock with you guys. Oh I know, but I had some shit going on and I was just like I even posted on social media. I'm getting taking every fucking emotion I have, and it's going in that pit. Going in the pit, it's a beautiful thing. Man.
4:49 For me. I rap late to the party. I didn't even you know, I was just I'm an inner city kid. I'm from Pittsboro's I didn't even I grew up hip hop and gospel and blues and all type of other shit. But the stuff that you do get to hear on video games like Lincoln Parking but I just never really understand. I never seen it, Like I. Never even knew this type of world existed, right, and to find myself in it, and it's like I've been missing it for all these years because it's like everyone's feeling like how I feel. Everyone's in a pit running around because they're just there's something going on, man, there's something. And it's a healthy way to get that ship out of exactly, instead of being out there and like taking it out on people out on the street. It's a super spiritual element to this side of music.
5:32 And just as a like a I'm a little green to it, I'm just which I'm grateful for it because I'm not imitating. I'm not trying to. That's what's killer, right. I'm just letting it out. But now that I'm in here and I'm seeing it for what it is, it's just like spiritual to me, like I've talked like a new church or something, man, right, and. We're one big family. There's no outsiders here. We're all outsiders. And even getting here to Louisville after that slave, I was on a flight to get here, and well it was waiting for a flight, I had my AirPods plugged in, and some dude next to me, literally without asking say anything, pulls my plug out to plug his shit in.
6:13 Oh wow. If it weren't for that Slayer. Pit, you would have probably been pissed. I would have fucking lost it on them. Instead, I said nothing opposed to punching them in the face. So for all those people out there, oh the most, No, that's where you can get the shit out. So some idiot like that can do stupid shit and you don't care. That's true. So for me, I'm just happy I found that place. Man. It's just like fuck, man, it feels I'm sorry. If I'm cursing, I don't know. You can curse all you want, all right, say no worry. I kind of curse a lot. But it just feels good, man, to a rap late to a party and feel like you've been missing out this whole time, that it is really coreat it's pretty special man.
6:53 And tell us about your newest music that we want to pre save right now. Yeah, yeah, so it's called important. He played it today, and for me, it's just one of those songs to where you feel you might have somebody standing on your back man, and they're getting a little taller while you're still small, or your boss at your job, or just for anyone man who feels like they got a voice and they want to be heard and it might not be as loud for you right now. So to me, it's a great song. It's called Important. Three guys in the room playing no tracks, just having fun and just letting it out. Man. So it drops October eighteenth. It's up for pre sale on damn this dot com, damnusband dot com. And then yeah, man, that's our second single.
7:33 We got an album coming, we already got vinyl. Yeah. I like the art for that single, and I looked at him, I'm like, man, that looks like Wayne Static. That's what I thought. It looked like Wayne's static static X. It was like sick wayeh, shout out the Riz. Riz is high on Instagram and social media. She's a beast. She's works with Depth Tone. Yeah, she's at the beast, has her own band. Yeah, she's amazing, man. But she did the artwork for that, and yeah, man, we're just grateful to just be able to have her voices heard. Man. Nice. So how do people reach out to you on socials? On the web by your merge, checkout on your music.
8:14 To Damna's band across all everywhere, all Internet world, damnageband dot com. And yeah, we're a little hole school, so we. Don't really attack that as much as we should because we're in the studio and we're writing songs and playing guitars and shit like that. Oh you're actually playing your instrument. I know, right, yeah, man, you're getting down. I gotta I gotta keep up. Man. Tim Stewart is a fucking beast man, and that's a great band. We're really we're pushing the needle where we're getting better every day. I'm putting my hours in playing every day. I want to. I gotta die legend man, that's all I got. The Damnage to the world and the big smile on your face just tells me you love what you're doing. And I think that's key in music. Like I got needed. If you don't like this ship, this ain't the right business to be.
8:56 That's right, that's right. There's a love just like a need and a calling. Just you just want to. It's like a it's not it's not a it's a job. Man. It's like you you're doing it for the people. I like it your message out, you know it can help someone. That's why I think we got a presidential election coming up. I think musicians for should run for president. Hey, whenever politics are shitty, that's when some great music comes. Back to go hand in hand hundred percent. I think I got too many hand tattoos. I would Bro, I would run, man, but I'm chilled, but I got to You're right, man, they need a Stonor for president. Bro. No one. We're fucking fighting. Bro. Just fucking know that. All your dreams. Bro, that's it. I love it.
9:36 Well. Thanks for being here at Ladder in Life. I can't wait to see it after shock. And thanks for the adventures of pipe Man. Man. Yes, their pipe Man, Let's get it. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of plate Man on w for CUI Radio.
