04 Hey, you love them too? That sure from c Why for you? Wake up America? It's time for the Adventure. So pipe Man on W four cy dot com west pom Beats number one internet radio station. Here's your host. The White Man is the wrong. I want to care about nothing so much. It's a hard trying to enter row slow now. It's so fucked and I say that I never really have that, Sime. Fuck fuck the turnst pipe Man here on the Adventures pie Man W fourc Y Radio at Download Festival and I'm here with crash Face. What's up? Yeah, what's up? Nice? I'm surprised you're here for the interview, by the way, because I thought you'd be dead by now. Performing in this heat.

08 Well, I mean, we wouldn't be a very good band if we didn't turn up. So we're doing what we can. But it's always a pleasure to talk to people, especially people we haven't met. So high. It's all good. I mean, I'm dead inside anyway, So there you go, there you go. So tell me were you absolutely shocked at what you saw out there? And not only in this heat, but so early in the day on a Sunday at a festival, after three previous days and people were just out there fucking rocking it for you guys. I mean, that's that's what download's all about. It's what this community is all about, you know, everyone, regardless what time it is, whether people just show up because people love it and that's why we do it. We do it for them. So thank you to everyone that came to see us. It was incredible set. Yeah. No, it was like genuinely massive bucket list thing taking that off. And I've heard from everyone. You know, your first download is is the one that you'll always remember and you know, definitely remember that for the rest of my life. Yeah, And there's only one twentieth anniversary. And God, like I think of artists are on this lineup.

10 They didn't just slap together a lineup. It's like they handpick you. So like, how does that feel? You're hand picked for like one of the most popular, biggest rock festivals in the world on their twentieth anniversary. I mean, to be on the same day as slip Knot is absolutely wild. Man. Look at that. I'm ready. He's a little gummed up. I'm ready, man. Oh, this is tied. My daughter's bought that for me. It means well man, because obviously downloads. They've always champions like up and coming bands as well. Like they've they've never really, you know, sort of had like a whole gate keeping thing. They're always trying to push who people can hear. And we have so many friends that you know, we lived near in London and come up with who are playing as well. So to see everyone doing that thing in front of a crowd of this magnitude, it's the world. So I'm gonna ask you a funny question, love it and maybe both you want to answer. But your list on your shirt, which is your favorite and your least favorite? Well for those who can't see it, says Nicktine Valium, vicad in, marijuana, ecstasy, and alcohol. I'm gonna go with E being my favorite, Yeah, and marijuana probably probably my least. Weirdly enough, yeah, I know, I just like or you like like the love shit, Yeah that's what you love. No, you know, I like to like to give hugs.

34 There you go. Hey, I mean marijuana is all about love as well. Come on, but I mean I probably go to complete opposite direction though I love a drink, so alcohol is probably up there for me. And then I don't know. I haven't tried like Valium or Vicadin. So I'll do it and i'll get back to you. I don't even get Valum, to be honest, it's a downer. Yeah, it's just you go, oh yeah, well, I mean Ketaman's not bad, but yeah, you might like it then, I don't know. It's a step up from Ketaman's a step up from Value. Oh okay, all right, I'm good too. I've tried Volume. Yeah. My my mother she was into Volume, so I'm not into it. Oh I see, I see. So we got going on after download? I mean, how you top this? Honestly, just take like a few days to recover, you know, slaps them off the sun on this, and yeah, I mean just keep writing man by the should keep Ryan, keep playing some trius and yeah, a few things we can't talk about at the minute. Yeah, it's it's straight back in the studio for us, it's all about the tracks. So we're excited to get going. So I like the fact that there's stuff you can't talk about because people are going to need to connect to you on socials so they can find about when you can talk about it. So maybe definitely talk about social there he goes. So maybe we should talk about that because they need to connect with you, not to mention they have to buy your mercher.

03 They can't listen to my show. Well, thank you? Do you have a tea? Do I have a let? Do you have a tea? Tea? Yeah? T shirt? Oh? T shirt? Oh me, no dude, Yeah, we'll show you out. Well, I'm in England. I'm thinking you're talking about drinking tea. Oh no, no, we don't love it that much. I'm more of a coffee guy myself. Yeah, yeah, yeah, big time. So you're more American socials. Yeah, crash base. Everybody's type it in and we'll pop up. So he has anybody asked you if, like out in the crowd, did anybody's faces crash in the pit? I mean I nearly tripped over like quite a few times. There was like one guy who was just going for it. It was amazing, and he just I'm pretty sure I saw him full down like twice. I love it. I don't know, I love it right, shout out to that dude. Yeah, we'll have to do an after action report. We'll hit everyone up on social tomorrow. Be like, is everyone's face okay? There you go. You should do some kind of like contests like that. You know, who called the most up, who crashed her face the most literally broke with that noise that one of our shows one time.

05 It was like, it was amazing. Oh I love it. So I got a great story for you myself. Okay. So I interviewed somebody a couple of weeks ago who was an old friend of mine, an eighties metal band that I've been talked doing like thirty five years. Okay, and like they were a band I was friends with. I've helped them roady. I was a teenager. One of their last shows, I climbed up onto the Marshall stack did a stage dive, and when I was full swan in the air, the crowd move, Oh my god, you full und no, this is a bridge right here went bye bye. Yeah. Yeah, I think it looks a lot better than we've ever had braces on. At the time, the braces were still there, the teeth weren't. Oh my god, yeah, so right now check this out. I used to tell my kids stories of stuff that, you know, happened like that, and you know how kids are gonna be Yeah, sure, dad, You're like you're you're exaggerating. I got proof a couple of weeks ago when I did that interview because I got on the fun I got on with him and we started chatting like, oh my god, I didn't even know what happened to you, he's saying and all this. So we got I'm like, let's save it for the interview, and we get on the interview and we start talking about it, and he goes, oh, yeah, man, that

35 that. I felt so bad. I wondered whatever happening. It was like somebody died at one of our shows and and like I had finished the show, like not that the show stopped because of me. It was like the last note of the last song boom, Hey, I mean it could have been planned. Oh yeah, of course it's gotta be. And with the bank, that's right. And and then he says, because I used to tell my kids, yeah, I'm a legend in La Medal because of this, and you know that's right, like Lemmy, that's that's where's the star? Where's the star? I don't know. We gotta get it, yep.

18 Sound. So he goes, you were the most severe casualty of La Medal in history. God, I mean sure people have died, right, is that a casualty or is that like over a casualty that's like you're just stupid. Yeah, you just you just you kicked it. If you died, I'm gonna put it on there for sure. Yeah exactly. So So then I go back to my kids. I'm like listening to this interview. See I wasn't bullshit, came right from the source. So that's what you gotta do. Like contest like that, who who crashes their face the hardest at one of your shows? But I'm trying to think, what can they win a new face? Do they win another crash a mask? They get a mask? Yeah, they get hold on, I have a prize for them. Ready, sick, I'm so ready. You don't even know.

15 I'm fucking prepared and didn't even know it. Okay, here it comes? Is it? Is it a slipnot mask? No close though? Okay, all right, all right, big Papa there it is, all right. We gotta take a picture. What's up? You're here with crash Face and ghosts. Tobias here with us. We crash Face. Welcome the clergy. Welcome the clergy. Oh I love it. Did you see outside probably not because you might not have ventured out yet. But if you walk past, it's like barwall. There's they got the ghost like confessions booth. Yeah, that's where that came from. Dude, I need to confess the sins.

00 I'm telling you, Well, what actually is is it? It's photo booth? Right, yes, but it's even better, so you go in. It's the photo booth. But then you could do a video and promoted on socials so you can like this. You could do what we just said. Yeah, you could do a promo. Whoever crashes her face best a crash face show gets this. That's amazing. I'm in the video. There you go. Well, we we got a lot of great stuff here, and I am so pumped that you were here at download And thank you so much for being on the Adventures of Type Man. Thank you so much for having us man, Thank you so much for checking us out. A really appreciate it. Oh my pleasure. You guys rock and everybody else that's listening to have to check you out because if not, they're missing out and I'm gonna crash their face. Damn right, damn right, you had to hit up.
