04 Hey, you love them too, sus Sure, I'm from four see Wow, Wake up of America. It's time for the adventure. So pipe Man on W four cy dot com. West Pond Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe Man. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio. And I'm here with I'm S's Conna from Caska. Feeda nice here at Bloodstock. Wow, how does it feel the beat? And look at this, It's like it's like a big party, right, Yeah, it's fine, It's yeah, it's honestly like a big privilege to be here, to be invited to play, it means an awful lot to us. And obviously this is a festival that is close to the heart of pretty much every metal head in the UK, so it means lots of community. So yeah, to be here, it's it's like, yeah, it's it's been fucking great. Like you know what's interesting. It's like in the States, I go on tour and I do all the music festivals, and then I started venturing over this side of Upond. First festival I did on this side upon which download which I dug

36 that a lot, and then when it's at download and this last year somebody said you need to check out Bloodstock. Now I've never heard of it. I'm like, okay, and then I looked into him, like wow, it looks like a really cool festival. And then next thing I know, I was here last year and here this year, and I gotta say it's one of my favorite festivals from a working standpoint even, but also from a music standpoint, like even so the announcement last name, I'm like, oh fuck, that's great man. There were a couple there was a song in my head from Architects that still is with me today from the announcement last night, and like just they have all these UK exclusive bands playing next year.

17 I think that's cool too because I have the experience in the States at every festival I do, it's almost the same lineup, you know, So it's cool to have a festival that's different, Like this lineup is totally different than not Downloads and totally different from a health fest, which I've done too, And you know, so it's cool to have you here. And how does it feel as an artist to be part of this festival? Yeah, it means the hell of a lot. Like I think Bloodstock probably well, I'd say definitely more than any other of the bigger festivals in the UK. I think they really do a lot to cater to all kinds of metal fan and it generally is like you can tell they do it for the fans as well.

05 You know, there's so much variety, like yeah, we're a death metal bands, and then you've got hardcore bands, You've got like folk metal, black metal, like classic heavy metal, and it's there's a there's something for everyone, and you find so many bands here as well that you might not have heard before. I think just the audience in general, like it's such a welcoming I think that's the thing I say, if someone had never been here, it's such a welcoming festival as well. Yeah, I agree, like yeah, no one, no one's made to feel left out. There's no like there's no gate keeping here. And I think like to its credit as well, blood Stock, I think over the years, they've really and again more I think than any other UK festival, they've really expanded the kind of variety of artists and been in tune with what the audience wants and given artists like a big platform for example, like a band like Malevolence.

54 I think that was their first big UK festival slot on the main stage a couple in twenty twenty one when we first played here, and then last year they got they got put onto headline the Sophie stage and it's that's a huge thing here again next year exactly, and it's pumped. Yeah, And it's that they're kind of like a hardcore band essentially, but with metal parts, like a metallic hardcore band, but that blood Stock, which is normally seen as a kind of traditional metal vessel. They've been so welcoming to that a band like that and given him that massive platform. And yeah, it's and it like bands like us as well. Obviously we're not on the same level as Malevolence. I don't mean that, but you're not made to feel like you're another or you'll just like any worth any less like they, You're just really well treated and looked after. Like it's yeah, it's huge. Like again, it's a massive privilege, like and it means an awful lot as well. There is a learning thing that I noticed is that the way they treat artists at this festival is like better than anywhere I've seen. It's like they treat you the way you should be treated, because listen, without artists, there's no festival, so why not treat them good? Yeah, you know, yeah, one hundred percent, Like yeah, everyone, I mean everyone from like even like the stewards and stuff. Everyone's so friendly, helpful again, the stage, the stage crew, like I can't say enough nice things about them. So this is as a bad and this is the biggest show we've played, and it's honestly the least stressful experience, like setting up key right there, because I've been doing a few festivals and I'm like friends

25 with artists and they were fucking stressed out. Sound wasn't working or whatever the reason, like just nothing was going right. And you know, that's the common theme I hear from artists here is stress fit free treated. Well that's listen, that's the way it should be. Yeah, you guys work so freaking hard. You shouldn't have to deal with more bullshit to play a gig, you know, yeah, one hundred percent. It's like the like, without all those small stresses and everything being taken care of, it's like you've got your full energy just to focus on giving a good show for the crowds. You know, it's like it's yeah, it's funny earlier, like obviously like tugue in cheek, but it's like, oh, I feel like a real rock star, you know. But yeah, honestly, man, like, I think that's a thing like you. In my opinion, it's like you can't give the crew enough credit, you know, because they keep the wheels turning at the end of the day. So, what's the craziest thing you've ever experienced in your music career, what, like at a show or such or anything. Well, I mean the first time you played here was twenty twenty one on the New Blood stage. Yeah, and halfway through the set there was I don't know if there are a couple or if they just decided to do this impromptu, but there was like a guy and a girl just fully naked in the middle of a pit. It's a bit weird.

54 It's like, I didn't think death metal inspired that in people. I didn't think so I've never seen that in my whole life. Yeah, And we had another one not quite as while, which is funny. We did a tour with a band from Holland called teeth Grinder. Awesome band. I like, definitely go and check them out like really frenetic grindcore. When we were playing a show in Birmingham. I looked at like stage right and their guitar player. This door flew open and he was just sat on the toilet having a ship while we were playing, and he's just like thumbs up to us, not care in the world. I guess, I guess that's the Europeans for you. I'll tell you what. You know. What's funny do is that you said that. One of the questions I'll ask Harless is one story good or bad? When you're eighty what what would you tell? Do you know what the number ones response they've gotten multiple times shifting pans on stage.

53 Not done that yet, yeah, because like it's like they're like, well, what can you do? Like you can't walk off stage and then you go lay the rest of the gig with shit in Europeans. So I'm like, oh my god, that sucks good. So I think that when that'll always be the winner. Yeah, where you got going on? After blood Stuck? So next month we've got a few dates across the UK, so we're doing a free date run in the South and then a free date run up in the North. So we're hitting like most of the major cities like London, Birmingham, Manchester so on. And in the background we're working on new music. We've got about eight new songs demos so far, so potentially be dropping an EP maybe early next year and then looking onto the second full length album. So nice, love it. How do people reach out to you? Connect on soul shows, check out your music toward dates, and most importantly buy your merch oh so on everything So like Instagram, Facebook, band Camp, Spotify, it's all just casket feeder. So if you search casket Feeder online like Instagram, Facebook, whatever, that's that's all that.

01 You can find us all their merged up on band camp obviously, Betty yet find us show gets some merche there. Nice and so what was it in your life that made you realize this is what you need to do? Hearing Master of Puppets. Honestly, when I was twelve or twelve years old, I used to buy Total Guitar magazine every month and then one month they add Master of Puppets full tab. I was like, this is fucking amazing. And my stepmom at the time, like she was like eighties metal heads. She goes, oh, I've got it. I've got the album. Yeah, she has got master published on a bi Yeah. And that was it. I was like, I literally quit all my other hobbies, Like I used to skate. I was rubbish, but I quit skating. I was like, all I want to do is get good at guitar. Just lock myself in my room, perhapsic guitar as much as I could. Is that?

50 Honestly, that was the That was like the lightning bolt moment, like a so you're you're gonna share about where I'm next gonna say. I was at the f Metallica gig ever. I was at the first Metallica gig ever, right, and this guy gets off the stage or like twenty five of us and comes up talking to me, and he hands me his business card. It says Metallica Power Metal, Dave Mustage. Nice. Right, I don't have it anymore though I was stupid fifteen year old, like what I think it was important? But anyway, you guys fucking rock. I'm glad you were here at Bloodstock. I hope to see a lot more of you.

31 And thanks for being on the Adventures of plate Man. Oh, thanks so much for the time. Appreciate it. Thank you, got it. Bye bye. Thank you for listening to the adventures of plate Man. I'm W four CUI Radio.
