04 Hey, you have LUNTI, Yes, that's true. For Wow, crazy Young. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio and I'm here. With got himote from Bumped out wreck Nice here a Bloodstock. Yeah, eventually out lost? How did that happen? Well, not the lost part, but yeah, how did you end up playing Bloodstock? Yeah? We've been trying to sort of get ourselves involved in this for the past since the bund stopped in twenty seventeen, and my wife, who's my manager, the Bunds manager, has just been in contact and speaking of every year, every year.

50 And here we are, eventually here. We are unbelievable. But yeah, I'm here. So I guess your wife is the amazing part of the band. Yeah, yeah, it's not me. It's not the music. Right, So now you're finally here. How's it feel to be a Bloodstock? It's amazing, totally overwhelmed by the size of it, you know, and right, it's really good. It's the biggest thing the bands ever done. Back in the eighties, yeah, I was in a bank called Heavy Painton when I was a drummer and they toured with the legs of Ozios Warm and Kiss. So that was obviously I was used to I'm used to this kind of thing from back in the day, but this has got really big now. This first of all, is great legs, brilliant. It'sn't amazing the type of fans that come to this festival that bands like you were multiple bands in the new Blood stage. They have these like huge crowds and nobody even knew who they were.

42 But yeah, everybody's just showing up. Yeah, yeah, it's just wonderful, you know. It's just a great opportunity for people. And yeah, I mean, I'm listening to that band as we speak that's on the stage that I'm gonna be playing, and they're making a great racket, you know. But they sounded absolutely great art what they're doing. Yeah, we're just playing good old fashioned, straight ahead old rock and roll, and you just think, by goodness, what is this? You know, I'm in the right place, what is it? But yeah, it's a big mix of everything and it's great, you know, it's great. Oh man, I can't wait to hear everybody today. Actually, it's such a great festival. Now. Since you mentioned Arsie, yep, what's your favorite story about Arsie?

26 Favorite story about Ozzy. Probably Shannon would kill me if I told you my favorite story about Ozzy, but yeah, but yeah, we went on tour in the UK leg of the Bark at the Moon tour in nineteen eighty three, so we were the support act, the only support act back then. And yeah, just. Great memories of the chaos that surrounded Ozzie right twenty four to seven. You know, he just was that guy that is written about all over the world, you know. And some stories are hard to believe. I'll let me tell you they're probably all very very true because I've seen it and done it. From being in a little chef on the road to the next gig with the whole crew and we're all in there getting breakfast or something, Ozzie'll say something, Shan stands straight up, just lamps. Someone punches them straight in the nose, knocks them half out.

19 What have I said? So he starts shouting, balling, and everybody's jumping out the way, you know, and Shan's in him, you know. And then that's nineteen eighty three. I'm talking about the come on and so what are they like? You know? And that didn't never stop. But yeah, that and just getting absolutely drunk is skunks. You know. He just loved to take. You out when you're on tour and take you out and just get you absolutely hammered because that was his thing, you know, right, never mind the food, that's just I will order it, but just keep the drink coming. Shan's shouting. But no, you know how much that wine. Give? I love it? Oh yeah yeah, but there's very many stories. He came to see rehearsing in London and he said, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's great. He said, it'll be good to have you on tour. He said, so let's go and see my band.

09 They're just in a studio down the road. He says, you want to come and meet them. Really, we don't know them, we don't know about it. We're like, okay, he's got a Rose Royce outside, so we all piloted the back of this Rose Royce. There's too many people in there to mention. Totally illegal. Hopefully, go to that studio, walk in and there you go. You got the os yours one band of that period, which is frekuarly you know. And Bob Daisley. Yeah he was a drummer. Tommy Aldridge. No, no, it wasn't Tony, it was after Tommy. It was Camine. Oh yeah, okay, you know I hear a play story about Carmine. No, but.

49 I did an interview with Carmine a few months ago, Oh did you? Yeah, and it went viral. You know why it went viral because he said, I don't don't think Black Sabbath started heavy metal. I think with Power Contain It. And boy, that went everywhere like rolling Stone picking up. Everybody's like, what the hell was he talking? Oh boy, I thought you were going to say he claimed that what was here? What was vanilla? Was it? Vanilla was? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, back in the day. That's good. That's a good study. Ted's in the trouble as well for sleeting it saying that there was a blues mound.

33 Yeah, I've heard that too. I read that the other day. Just this that it's crazy, right. I saw Ozzie went Ranby. I even saw an Ozzie show with Pat Travers Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no and Brad Gillis. Obviously. I was at the US Festival in nineteen eighty three. Yeah, when Ozzie played on Heavy Metal Day. Yeah, yeah, great, Yeah, I have a lot of history. Yeah, man, it is great that we had an alsie because you and I wouldn't be staying here today with that ausie. Well, you know, definitely, he done me and my band a great favor by taking us out on tour with him him, and then two months later it was kiss for us on the liquor up to and that was.

17 What we've done. You know, that's amazing, right, yeah, yeah, it was just mind blowing. We were only twenty two years of age and now I'm sixty four and look at that, you know, all those years ago. Who right, I don't even know where it went, Like you're blank and you're twenty and then you're fifty something. Yeah, yeah, exactly, because. It's like I can't be fucking fifty eight. No, no, no, I know, I know. Well I just look at my full kids and I say, oh, I'm definitely that age. Well I got four kids and eight grandkids. Oh you lucky, lucky mano, Oh not so lucky. Now the grandkids are great. Yeah, kids are pain in the ass great.

00 Yeah, yeah, yeah great. Yes, you may become adults and become adults and may become a pain in the app. Yes, I know, who are you? So how do people reach out to Burnt Out Rack. How did they check out all your stuff and connect with you on. Socials and all that. Yeah, yeah, we got three albums out and all for sale on the end of that. Amazon probably best place to start if you're looking at it. And yeah, we're on all the socials, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, all the usual stuff. It's all out there somewhere. And yeah, either the Facebook pledge or on the dot com. You know, have a look at. That nice couch. If they don't support you, they can't listen to my show.

42 That's a good one. Yeah. Well you guys rock. I'm so glad you're here at Bloodstock and thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. Yes, thanks very much, and good to Michelle. Kerr was my press officer for my entire fucking here in the UK, my entire career. With Machine D. She recently passed away and it was a very, very sad day. And I can tell you the reason that I'm gonna tell this story is because she was family. She was Bloodstock family, she was heavy metal UK family.

23 Most of the. Balls that you know and love you probably heard of because of that woman right there. Slip Knots, Slayer, Machinehead, Trivium, Killswitch, Engage, Hey Breed, you name it. She helped lift everybody up, man. She helped lift everybody up, and in so many ways, she helped make this entire music scene, this incredible, beautiful community that lives here at bloodstock Man. She helped make it so. Ladies and gentlemen, please make some noise from Michelle Kerr.

05 Thank you for listening to the adventures of Tapement on w for c u I Radio.
